"But Josh, you know nothing about medicine, after all. Staying here won't help Natasha at all.

"Besides, even though we've changed into surgical gowns, we're not doctors, so we shouldn't be here. It goes against medical protocol," Natalie said, convincing in her argument.

Joshua nodded in agreement. "Let's get out of here, then."

The operation room door opened, and they exited.

Natalie leaned in close to Joshua, inadvertently exposing her sweaty neck. She had just hurried over, so her neck was glistening with perspiration.

The droplets of sweat clustered on her neck, and she was certain Joshua couldn't miss them.

If Joshua could notice the sweat on Natasha's forehead, there was no reason he couldn't notice the sweat on her neck.

As expected, Joshua noticed Natalie's neck, which was covered in glistening beads of sweat. It contrasted against her snow-white skin and reflected bright light under the sunlight.

He lowered his head and glanced at the white handkerchief in his hand.
