Chapter 4: Colter Society
Zaina Amara’s POV
I got out of my car and entered a café shop. They all looked at me; what's with the stares, really?
I continued walking and ignored them all. They were staring at me like I'm a kind of meat.
"You're the new girl, right?" A woman asked me.
"Yeah," I answered and looked at the menu on the front.
"One cup of cappuccino and one slice of cheese cake," I told her.
"Dine in or take out?" She asked me again.
"Take out," I answered plainly.
"Okay, ma'am, wait a minute." She said, smiling, and prepared my order.
"Here we go, ma'am." She said and gave me my order.
I paid for that and picked up the food that was stacked on the counter. While walking back into my car, I heard a group of ladies murmuring something.
"Let's see how long she can stay here." I just kept walking out of the Cafe, and I didn't pay attention at all.
I was about to get in my car when someone grabbed my shoulder to stop me from getting in. I turned to them and looked at them blankly.
"Do you need something?" I asked the lady who stopped me.
"What are you?" She asked.
Huh? What did she mean?
"A human." I sparingly answer. She narrowed her eyes on me. Seriously?
"I mean is ... What are you? A part of the mafia? Gangster? An assassin?"
Is she crazy?
"I'm just a Nobody, don't waste your time on me." When I said that, I turned my back on her.
"Don't turn your back on me bitch! I'm not done with you yet!" She shouted and stepped on my back. The food and coffee I were holding were thrown away.
I gasped and slowly closed my eyes. Here we go again; even in Colter City, there are still bullies. Great!
"Did you know what you have just done, ginger head?" Calm, but I said seriously. I heard her laugh out loud and grin.
"Of course, I know, Loser!" She mocked me. Tsk stupid!
I punched her face hard; they were surprised by what I did, so she wasn't ready. She backed away several times while holding her bleeding and cracked nose.
I gave them a mocking grin.
"What did you do? You will fucking pay for this." She shouted and left as she wiped his bleeding nose.
I looked around, and just now, I noticed that there were a lot of people watching the little show that Ginger Head did. I just shook my head and got in my car. What a great day, and I'm fucking hungry!
I got out of my car and entered the cafe again. Everyone inside was curiously looking at me.
"What is your order, ma'am." She stuttered. Is she afraid of me? She's looking at me now like she has seen a ghost.
"The same." She nodded and prepared my order again. I made the payment after she gave me my order, and then I left the café shop.
Thanks, no one interrupted me while driving. I ate my food and drank my coffee.
It's Saturday, 9:08 am. I want to roam around the Colter Society this day, and Tomorrow, I'll relax and prepare.
I can sense that I will get into much trouble and a trilling situation on Monday. According to Ginger Head, I think many people who are part of gangs, mafia and an assassin were living here.
I'm not new to this kind of place, a dangerous place. My stay here will be exciting.
I stopped my car and looked at the lofty gates in front of my car. I think this was the agate of the big mansion I saw yesterday. If I’m not wrong, that mansion is owned by a mafia boss, which I don't care.
I drove my car again and left that place.
It was noon when I returned home. I was already in the car when I saw someone in front of it.
"Miss Jones!" Who is he? I faked a cough to gain his attention, and he turned to me.
"Ah, there you are." He speaks.
Obviously, I gave him a What are you doing here?
"Miss White told me to deliver to you these boxes." He replied that I took it.
"Thanks," I mumbled and opened my house door using my one hand.
"Wait, Miss Jones." The guy said.
I turned to him and asked why is he still here.
"I'm Paul, Paul Olen," I said okay and went inside my house.
When I got in, I opened the box and saw the things inside the box were the school supplies. Then I saw a note: 'Your uniforms will arrive tomorrow.'- JW.
Seriously? I just shrugged and put the box in the corner. I went to the kitchen to cook what I would eat, and after cooking, of course, I ate the food I cooked. After washing the dishes, I went to my room.
There is a 72-inch LED TV and a beautiful terrace. I sit on the side of my bed. This house is comfortable, but I feel like I'm being watched. Especially here in my room.
I looked in every corner of my room and then spotted something: a hidden camera and sound bugs. I stood up and removed it, then broke it.
There are seven hidden cameras and ten sound bugs overall. I threw it all in the trashcan outside. I went back inside the house and looked at every corner of it to make sure no one was watching me.
I found 12 hidden cameras and 20 sound bugs in the kitchen, living room, dining room and in hang-out room.
I broke them all again and threw them in the trash outside. Now I'm safe. No one is watching and hearing me.
Third person POV
"So, she found all the hidden cameras and bugs in just a few minutes? She's really something." Kayley said to Jane in amazement.
"Yes, indeed, she's something. Now I know why my brother sent her here. " Jane said, so Kayley looked at her.
"You already know? Why did your older brother send her here? What did she do?" It is a Curious question that came from Kayley.
"She sent eleven girls to the hospital 6. Of them had broken arms, ribs and legs, and four of them had swollen faces and injuries. Meanwhile, in the last one, she's worse. She's in a coma; all of her ribs are broken, and she has a head injury and internal bleeding. " Jane replied while saying that she couldn't control herself but tremble in fear.
Kelly was stunned by what she heard.
"And she did that using her bare hands." Kayley and Jane's faces paled.
"Oh my god, I aimed a gun on her head. What if she's a part of a Mafia?" Kayley worriedly said.
"I'm not sure about that one," Jane said.
"She's scary," Kayley whispered. Jane nodded in agreement.
"Yes indeed."
Chapter 5: Colter Academy Zaina Amara’s POV The weekend is over, meaning I need to go to school to start my first day at Colter Academy. The class just started three weeks ago, so I think I missed a lot of topics and subjects, but whatever. When I parked my car in the school parking lot, I got out immediately. Almost all of them looked at me as usual, but I ignored them all. I was holding my things; I needed them to put inside my locker. The number of my locker was 666, the evil number huh? “She’s the new girl.” “I heard her punch Blaze.” “She’s a troublemaker.” “Badass.” “I wonder who she is.” And so on. I continued walking while looking for my locker number. 658 660 664 And got you 666 I put my things above the locker and opened my locker. I put my belongings inside. When I closed the door of my locker, I saw a man leaning against the locker door beside my locker. “The new girls are finally here; I can say I’m quite impressed; you are one of the pretty and tough girls
Chapter 6: The VIP guests Zaina’s POV I slowed down my car when I saw more than ten sleek black luxury cars. They were in a row, and all the cars they were meeting went sideward and let those cars move without any stop. Oh? I stopped my car and watched them pass by my car. One car had passed … 2 … 3 … 4 … 5 … 6 … Then, I saw a red Lykan Hyper sports car. What a cool car. That car had already passed, and then seven more black vehicles followed it. I think their boss owned the red car, and I wonder who it would be. A small grin forms on my lips as I start the engine of my car again and U-turn it to follow them. They are going to Colter Academy now, and I think maybe they are the VIP guests. The gate of the school opened wide, and their cars entered while I remained inside my car. I don’t need to go inside to see who the VIP guest is; something will work for me. I went to the backseat of my car and got my drone. I set it up and went out of my car. After I landed the drone
Chapter 7: Ducati Zaina’s POV I passed the situation; I couldn’t believe that I had fooled them, and they believed me. I just smirked as I remembered what had happened earlier. After the guy wearing a black T-shirt left, they all followed him, but before the man wearing a grey tuxedo left, he glared at me and gave me a warning look. I just ignored it and gave him a cold stare in return. How funny isn’t it? I went into my room and lay down on the bed. The first day, I kicked the fuck boy’s bully ego. Secondly, I was given a threat by a teacher, and now I met a Mafia, not just a simple mafia but a Mafia Boss. My day is so great and nice. This is fucking good. I glanced at my wall clock to see it’s passed twelve o’clock already in the afternoon. I’m hungry. I get up from my bed and get off. I went to the kitchen and looked at what was inside my refrigerator. Damn, no food left. I forgot to buy groceries yesterday. I moved away from the refrigerator and closed it. I reached for my
Chapter 8: Not Worth ItZaina’s POVI put my black helmet on my head and start the engine of my motorbike. It’s Tuesday, and I mean to say I have classes again.I drove out of the subdivision where I was living at the moment and headed to Colter Academy. Everyone in the road stared at me when I passed them by.And I don’t fucking like the stare they were giving me; believe me, it makes me feel sick.I arrived at the school parking lot, and when I arrived, I heard the whispers of the students around the area.A little smirk formed on my lips, and I went down from my Ducati. I slowly get the helmet off into my head and then comb my hair using my fingers. Some students in the area are looking at me so carefully as if they can’t believe I’m the one riding the Ducati next to me right now.I put the helmet on the seat of my big bike and started walking into the main building. The main building is connected to all classrooms in this school.I went to my locker and picked up my belongings for
Chapter 9: Match and WatchZaina’s POVI served the ball perfectly, and Ginger Head tried to bring the ball back to us, but she failed. I saw pain flash in her eyes because of the impact of the ball on her wrist.“First point goes to Zaina Team.” Mr. Seven announced. My teammates smiled and cheered for me. The ball came back to me. I served it again, and this time, one of her teammates hit the ball back on us.But one of my teammates was able to bring back the ball on the other side. Then Ginger's head smashed it back on us again. The ball was towards me, so I carefully watched it and hit it back with power. The ball returned to the ginger head, but she succeeded in returning the ball to our place. But one of my colleagues brought the ball back to the other side, so we won the score again.“Nice hit,” I commented to the woman next to me. She smiled and nodded. The game continued until it ended, and guess what? We won the game. Ginger's head glared at me, but I only gave her a cold sta
Chapter 10: The Mansion Zaina’s POV I played with my pen using my hand, spinning it and biting the tip of it. Until this time, I still have in my mind what happened and what I saw this morning. Murdering someone in front of me is not new; I have seen a lot of it before. But why am I still thinking about it? Why? Geez, So weird of me. This class will be my last subject to attend. It’s almost 5:00 in the afternoon, so this boring class will end. When I heard the buzzer ring, I quickly stood up and left. I can’t believe I attended that boring class, but anyway, it’s done. When I came out of the classroom, an egg hit my chest. Just calm down. I looked at who threw the egg, and I saw ginger head and Mr. Fuckboy in front of me. Their companions, who were standing behind them, were holding two trays of fresh eggs. So, this is also part of their stupid and childish revenge, huh? I remained standing in my place while still calmly looking at them. “Let’s see how tough are you, Ms. Tran
Chapter 11: Bullying Her? A Big MistakeZaina POVTwo weeks had passed, and Mr. Fuckboy and Ginger’s head continued bullying me.I gave them a nickname that really suits them. I named Macey Ginger Head because her hair colour makes it quite obvious.I think every type of bullying they did to me has already been done. Verbal bullying? Mental bullying, cyberbullying and physical bullying? Name it, they have done all that. And I admitted I was not impressed by their childish action, but again, it’s nothing to me.No one can make me leave this place, even if they throw all the eggs of all the chickens here at the Colter Society to me. I don’t care.Even if they will talk to me with foul and trashy words every day, I don’t freaking care.Even if they post edited scandals and photos on the net, again, I don’t fucking care.Because for me, I won’t give a damn about whatever they do because I know there will be a time that they will get their own karma in life.I won’t mind them if they will
Chapter 12: AnnoyedZaina POVAfter the catfight, I immediately left the place and went to the shower room. Why I’m experiencing the same situation? Why are troubles always following me around?Damn it I smell stink this is damn annoying. It’s a good thing that they only used water paint because if they used gas-based paint, I would fucking drown them all in the river, and I would feed them to sharks. When I finished washing my body, I looked at my face in the wide mirror. I touch my hair and then travel to my face. Nothing changes. I don’t have any scratches or bruises on my face. This is great.I grabbed my ruined clothes above the sink and threw them in a trash bin. Then, I left the shower room. All the students I meet in the hallway lower down their head and avoid my gaze, Afraid huh?I just ignored them all and headed to the parking lot.I want to leave this place for the meantime, people here annoyed me so much.I stopped walking when I saw something really unpleasant.I clenche
Chapter 49: His LifeZaina’s POVIn this world, life is like a game of survival. You need to be brave, wise, and strong to survive. The only difference between life and a real game is… once you die, it’s over. You can’t be resurrected. If you’re lucky enough to stay alive, then move forward and continue living in this chaotic and cruel world. It’s been one week since I woke up. Since that day, I haven’t spoken a single word to him. He’s tried to ask me what happened, why I got stabbed, but I didn’t answer; instead, I remained silent. I just wanted to be alone. I wanted him to leave me alone.I need time to myself; my past keeps flashing back in my mind. It’s bothering me and affecting the way I live now. Why can’t I just forget? I wish I could lose all my memories because of that accident. How I wish…I blankly stare at the horizon as the sun sets. I’m on the terrace of the room I’m staying in, thinking about what will happen next to me. I can’t help but wonder, if he hadn’t taken an
Chapter 48: Death GroundZaina’s POVI was slowly losing blood, and I think in a moment I’ll faint. Damn those men, damn this situation. Damn this life. I just wanted a peaceful life, but why can’t I get that? Why? Why is trouble always following me around?I’m tired, very tired. I want to sleep, but I can’t. I can die this way, right? Not this way. A small sigh escapes my lips as I continue to drive the car. My vision is getting blurred, but I’m fighting against it; I need to stay awake until I reach the mansion.A small smile of hope forms on my lips as I see the mansion; I’m almost there. I need to hold on. Before I can reach the gate of the mansion, a wild deer suddenly crosses the road, causing me to change direction and hit the car against a hard tree.Damn. What bad timing. Because of the impact, my head hits something hard, which causes me to fall asleep. I don’t know if I will be able to survive; I’m losing too much blood and now I’ve hit my head hard. But before I lose consc
Chapter 47: KillingZaina’s POVI’ve been walking for how many minutes now, but still, I can’t find my way back to the mansion. I don’t know if I’m lost or if I just don’t really want to go back. Geez. I glanced at the sky when I saw it’s getting dark; it will rain really hard. What a lucky day.I stopped walking when I heard the sound of vehicles. Oh, I see? I’m close to the road now? I looked around to see where it is coming from.I think this would be a great opportunity to escape, but I won’t do that now; I’ll stay. I have something else to do.I walked toward the road, and luckily, when I got there, I saw a black car approaching. I let out a sigh and signaled the car to stop. I had the thought that the person inside it was a bad person, but… it won’t be a problem for me. I can manage it if he or she is really bad.The car slowly stopped. I looked up when the sky started to roar loudly; it was about to rain.“Hey, do you need some help?”Three men got out of the car. Just upon loo
Chapter 46: ExecuteZaina’s POV“Hey.” I greeted her when I saw her coming closer to me. She smiled and greeted back.“You’re staying with us again?” she asked me. I shook my head and answered no, plainly.“Why? I mean, why don’t you want to stay?” I just shrugged and started to move again to somewhere else that I didn’t know.“Too many reasons,” I answered while looking directly at the long hallway.“Like what?” she insisted on asking me. I glanced at her.“Reasons that I can’t tell to anyone else,” I replied meaningfully.“You are really mysterious. Who are you?” This time I smiled mysteriously.“Just a nobody,” I answered and winked at her. She smiled widely and playfully punched my shoulder.“You really don’t want to tell, eh?” she said and then chuckled. I shrugged my shoulder once again and just smiled.“Anyway, since you don’t want to tell it to me, let’s drop that subject.”That’s better.“By the way, where are you going?” “To somewhere else,” I responded.“Hmm? Are you alrigh
Chapter 45: MissionZaina’s POVI silently get off the bed and start to leave the room. I really don’t know what I should feel right now: hatred or regret?Last night, I gave in. I gave myself to him, but not my heart. I just got carried away by lust. Yeah, I felt something for him, but not in the way he felt towards me.He just confessed that he loves me and that he will never leave me? Why do I feel it was just an empty promise? That he will break his promise soon?I was taught not to trust easily, and that’s the reason why I have trust issues right now. I’m hard to please, hard to trust, show no fear, and am not capable of love.“Stand straight, chin up, and put your hands at your back!” An authoritative voice boomed from the area. The young version of me obeyed what the man told us to do. I’m not scared anymore; I learned to accept the life I have.Three years have passed; the weak version of me is gone. This is the new me: a killing machine, trained to kill, showing no mercy. The
Chapter 44: Cold TreatmentZaina’s POVMy body stiffened at what he said. Don’t leave? He can say that easily as if he didn’t send me to the dungeon last night. His guts really hit my nerves. I remained silent and stopped moving.A silence filled the room. No one dared to speak between the two of us. His eyes were closed, but I knew he was awake. I tried to get his arm off my waist, but he just tightened his grip.“I’m sorry,” he suddenly said. I didn’t respond. Tsk. Silence is a bitch; it hurts more than physical revenge. I stared at the ceiling of the room and continued ignoring him.I heard him take a deep breath before letting go of me. He held my jaw and made me face him, and then I met his eyes. There was too much emotion in them: sadness, longing, guilt… and love?“Please talk to me, baby?” he pleaded, but I remained silent, still. I just stared blankly at him. I didn’t know the King they all knew could be so dramatic. Tsk.“I’m sorry for what I said and did last night. I was j
Chapter 43: DungeonZaina’s POV“Send Pinky to my room tonight, and about the Vesper Mafia, tell them to go back…”“No…”“To the place where they came from.”“Yes…”“Bring her to the dungeon, and don’t you ever bring her anything…”“Just wait for my order…”“Don’t.”“I know what I’m doing.”“Just fucking do what I told you to do!” After that, he smashed his phone on the floor. I had the urge to call his name, but I held back. After a few seconds, a group of men entered the scene, grabbing my arms and dragging me away. I wasn’t naive enough to think I didn’t know what was happening; I was the one he ordered to be put in the dungeon. What now? Did he decide to kill and torture me because he didn’t get what he wanted? How childish.I let them take me away, knowing he was watching. Did he think I would beg him not to take me to the dungeon? Heck, he was wrong. I would never beg—not again. I was done begging for survival and for him to leave me alone.Because of what he was doing right now
Chapter 42: FoundZaina’s POVI immediately opened my eyes, my heart racing. Why did I dream about that again? Why does my past keep haunting me?I forced myself to calm down and turned on the light using the remote control. I let out a sigh and reached for my mask on the table beside the bed. I put it on, along with my hoodie jacket. I needed fresh air at that moment. I got off the bed and stood up, glancing at the wall clock; it was a quarter past eleven in the evening. As I walked down the hallway, I noticed a lot of men in black guarding the place. I knew they had seen me but chose to ignore me, which was good. I didn’t need their attention.I went out to the terrace on the second floor of the mansion. From where I stood, I saw the lights coming from the city below. The Colter society was really huge and beautiful, huh? I looked up at the sky and saw a helicopter approaching.I leaned on the terrace railing, watching as it landed in the wide field in front of the mansion. From my
Chapter 41: SNATCHEDZaina’s POVIn the middle of the night, only the light from the moon illuminated my way out of the place I hated the most. The men holding guns were shouting my name and chasing after me as if I were some kind of wild animal. The day I found out that my foster parents had lied about me, I escaped. I successfully left the dungeon where they had locked me up and tortured me. After four months of being treated like a slave, I finally broke free.I stopped running and hid in a place that I knew they couldn’t find me. I stayed in that narrow and filthy spot for many hours. My whole body felt weak; I badly wanted to sleep forever. But I would never sleep and give up easily.I came out of my hiding place when I saw a big truck parked near me. I quickly approached it and climbed inside. I entered a large box and saw that there was a lot of food inside.Hope filled my heart. I was exhausted and terribly starving. I was tired physically, mentally, and emotionally. I escaped
