Chaze:

I was rubbing my wrist from the light rope burn of being tied up. I forgot that Kane was there to fake a kidnapping. I think he rough-housed me for the fun of it. You know, pick on the little brother type deal. Whatever… As I sat there thinking about what we told Ruby I was starting to wonder if we should tell her everything. After all she did just find out that she isn’t human. Not only is she a shape shifter but a rare breed as well. While she was busy getting dressed in another room I sat here with Kane while we waited. I didn’t like that we were in Vampire Tribe territory but somehow Kane managed to regain their trust and sneak them into his fold, right under his father’s nose. If there was one person who we all should be afraid of, it's Kane.

“Hey, Kane.” I called while staring at the ground. He replied with a questioning hum.

“Should we tell Ruby everything? I mean, I don’t know if she’ll be able to handle everything.”

“It doesn’t matter what she can handle or not. The truth will be revealed one way or another… To be honest, brother, we still need her for our plan to work.” I sighed as I sat back and slouched in my chair. These opera house seats were comfortable as hell. Not sure why he picked this spot to talk. Must like heights since we were up in the balcony area. There wasn’t even a showing tonight, weird guy I tell ya.

“I know we need her but… She isn’t ready-”

“Then get her ready, Chaze.” The sternness in his voice caused me to shift my eyes towards him. He was edgy, which means something was wrong.

“What’s going on, Kane. You don’t lose your cool too easily.” I could see Kane’s frustration as he looked away for a moment. He sighs and looks back at me as he clears his throat. I knew this was going to be a long winded explanation so I sat up to make sure I would understand everything he was about to tell me.

“Word is spreading that my father is trying to raise a Chimera to overtake the other tribes. The truth is. This is only half correct. He wants to raise a Chimera because he is afraid of the Chimera Tribe.”

“So what, we all are afraid of that tribe. They’re mindless shape shifters who eat other shifters for fun. That doesn’t mean your old man is going to raise one in case they attack. I mean, your dad is old but he hasn’t lost it completely… Has he?” Kane paused again which concerned me. This wasn’t making sense. His father wouldn’t be that stupid after failing to contain the Vampire Tribe, that he’d risk everything to have his own Chimera.

“Alright, Chaze. Listen close because I don’t have a lot of time and I’m going to spit this out rather quickly…” I nodded my head to confirm I was paying attention.

“Mother is alive and she runs the Chimera Tribe.” My mouth hung open as his words echoed in my heart. My mother was alive? All this time and he never told me?

“Does my dad know-”

“Shut up, I’m not done yet.” He really did mean he was trying to spit this out quickly. He didn’t like talking about this topic. It was clear that it troubled him deeply. So, I did what he said and shut the hell up until he finished.

“She isn’t mindless and runs the tribe herself. I’ve also gathered intel on her tribe. Not all of them are mindless either. In fact, she has managed to teach them to become more than just attack dogs. They think, feel, and act on their own. Some with such intelligence that they tried to overtake my mother. She is far too powerful so they all submit… Besides that, the bigger issue is my father trying to create one of his own. You see, Ruby isn’t the only one who has the Chimera ability… Our sister does…”

“What the hell! What the shit is this! We don’t have a goddamn sister! Since when! You son of a bitch!”

“Silence!” His voice changed to a demonic sounding one which nearly made me piss my pants. Yeah I know, I wasn’t supposed to talk but shit. He can’t just drop a huge ass bomb like that and expect me not to comment on it. I glared as I took my seat again. I was so amped up that I jumped out of my seat. Once I settled down I rubbed my forehead to stop the several thoughts and questions swimming around my brain.

“Nicolas is her father…” My heart pounded loudly in my chest. I can do the math and I’m pretty sure I knew where this was going. I just couldn’t believe it.

“Shela… I thought she was from another tribe. I thought her mother was someone else, not Cena! I knew her and Benson were but… Why the HELL didn’t you tell me this!”

“Would it have mattered if I did?”

“Hell yes!” I shouted back. He narrowed his eyes in frustration and pinched the bridge of his nose, a pure sign that I was pissing him off. Hell, I didn’t care. He shouldn’t be keeping shit from me if we’re supposed to be on the same team here.

“Exactly my point…” Wait, what now? Ah damnit, he did his Jedi mind trick on my ass again. It never fails. He’ll always pull some bullshit winning phrase to seal the victory on our argument.

“If I had told you, I would have risked that knowledge being spread to Ruby. And in order for this plan to work, she can’t know about Shela. She can’t know that Shela also has the Chimera ability.”

“Wait… Wait, wait… Oh shit! Benson!” That light bulb clicked on in my head pretty damn fast. I get it now. Damn it I get it now!

“Benson knows about Shela and her ability. All this time he hasn’t been banging her for information, he's been using her to get that power… But why, and how did he know about her?”

“The ‘why’ aspect I don’t know. The ‘how’ part is easy. Shela is our spy, along with Kyle, for multiple tribes. They have been able to gather information on the others for a while now. As well, Shela is my eyes and ears within the Chimera Tribe. She plays the ‘mother’s little girl’ card really well. Apparently there is a rogue Chimera hiding in Benson’s tribe. She hasn’t been able to find out who but we believe that is how Benson knows about Shela. We also know that this Chimera is a male, which means he can’t teach Benson that ability. So, he pointed him to Shela.” It made sense. That sneaky bastard really does stay twenty steps ahead of everyone. It seems like he is losing ground though as we’re able to catch up with him… Maybe not. If we’re just now finding this out, then how close is he from fulfilling his own agenda?

“This presents another problem Kane… We know what both Nicolas and Benson are planning, they can’t fool us. You filled me in on their little attempt to rally other tribes against the Anubis tribe. However, from what you’ve just told me, it seems like Benson is acting on his own with this one. To be honest, it sounds like he plans on doing something big. The fact that we don’t know why he wants that ability is a threat to our plan. Even more so if he won't ask Ruby to be a part of it. This means he couldn’t wait for her, or didn’t want her getting involved. Either way, it's an issue for everyone.” The more I thought about this the more I didn’t like the taste of it. What the hell was that guy planning? How long has he been working on this? I remember what Ruby said to him before I scooped her in my arms and left. She was pissed off because she felt like a pawn in his game... The bigger question is, who is he playing chess with? Because whoever that is, they must be worse than him.

“Now, I’m going to ask you the same question you asked me… You know, just to make sure we’re on the same page here… Should we tell Ruby everything?” Damn it he did it again! That blasted Jedi mind trick… Having said that, he wasn’t wrong.

“Even about Shela… As I expressed before, that could hinder our plan greatly.” I had to think about this one. I mean, would giving her all this information all at once cause an issue for our plan? Then again, if we want her to help us out I believe honesty will work better then leaving her in the dark. I’ll show her I’m better than Benson. I’ll show her that I’m the real king, and Benson is just a fraud… She’ll be mine, my Ruby queen…

“Yes… We’ll tell her… We’ll tell her everything...”

Sandra:

After Prince Kane faked our kidnapping he brought us to an opera house. No one was really in it. There were a few people, other shifters actually, that roamed around for security purposes. He had me get dressed in one of the backstage rooms. Another woman brought me several different clothes and outfits to try. She said Kane didn’t really know my size so he got several items. She also noted that he said to have fun and take my time. I was more than excited. The clothes were so expensive. I would know, I noticed some of the items he brought me were from high-end name brand stores. I see them all the time in fashion magazines. Even though this was the perfect time to treat myself like a queen, I decided to hurry up and get back to Chaze and Kane. I didn’t want to miss anything since Kane left my mind wondering about Benson. As I finished up I started to slow down my pace the more I thought about Benson. My heart started to ache as my eyes began to water. How could he do this to me? Could it really be true? Now that I was away from Chaze it was like my mind could properly think. The truth was I still love Benson very much. I’ve spent decades with him and all of a sudden I’m quickly pointing him out as the bad guy. I didn’t even give him a chance to explain himself. This wasn’t right. Somehow or another this didn’t feel right. I vowed to never push him away, to always be with him and open my heart to him so long as he did the same. We’re not married but we’re pretty damn close to it.

“Is everything okay?” The woman called from the hallway. I fumbled over my words to reassure her everything was fine. I quickly finished up and opened the door to greet her with a smile and a thank you.

“I’m glad you decided on an outfit. You look lovely. Now, if you’ll follow me please.” She said as she bowed slightly and took the lead. I noticed that her eyes were very different. Almost inhuman. I could have sworn I saw fangs in her mouth when she spoke but I could be wrong. I didn’t pay it any mind as I followed her closely. The place felt like a maze. Going from backstage to the upper level of the theater took some time. Once I arrived Chaze stared at me with wide eyes. He slowly stood up and presented a seat for me, next to him of course.

“Ah, the Satin Theia Kimono-Sleeve dress. Very alluring. You look like a queen.” Kane was another charmer. His compliments caused me to blush as I nod my head with a big smile.

“Thank you, Prince Kane. I’m flatter of course.”

“Please, Ruby, call me Kane. No need for titles.” I smiled even more as he got up and bowed to formally greet me. I bowed back to respect his greeting and reached for Chaze’s hand.

“Wow, just wow… You look amazing.” He finally comments as I giggled lightly and let him guide me to my seat.

“You look very pleasant as well. It's odd not seeing you in your rock star clothes.” Chaze wasn’t dressed too formally. A nice shirt with black leather pants and shoes instead of boots or sneakers.

“Yeah, obviously it wasn’t my first pick. And no, I didn’t plan on matching Kane either. He just so happened to have the same outfit… In the same color… Only in my size… for some reason…” I couldn’t help but giggle at their playfulness with each other. Kane just shrugged with his eyes closed as if he didn’t know what Chaze was talking about. After a few moments Kane cleared his throat as if preparing to speak. This gesture made Chaze very serious as he looked at the floor and waited. They took turns telling me why Benson was meeting with Shela, and how she is not only Benson’s sister but theirs as well. My heart felt at ease to know that Benson wasn’t cheating on me. At least, they can only speculate that no sexual activities have occurred. They couldn’t say for sure as Shela was known for seducing men of different tribes. Kane tried to reassure me that she is currently dating his right hand man, Kyle. So in respect to him, she should behave herself during her time with Benson. Even though Kane said it, I could tell both him and Chaze didn’t believe it. It was up to me to have faith in Benson, and trust that he wouldn’t do anything with her.

“This brings us to our final part, Ruby.” Kane started off as I listened carefully.

“Me and Chaze plan on killing my father and retaking the Anubis Tribe for ourselves.” This completely shocked me. They were talking about murder like it was nothing to them. I didn’t reply or comment because I was waiting for them to tell me how I fit into this plan of theirs.

“We need your help taking him down, Ruby. Having said that, there are two options we will present to you.” Chaze took over the conversation as he reached out and held my hand with both of his.

“You need to tell us which one you want to do, and we’ll go for it. Both choices are going to lead you down a path that you need to overcome. None of the options are easy, and I can’t say which one is right or which one is wrong. This is for you to decide. You’re part of this team so you need a say in it… Okay?” Chaze’s words did comfort me, but I didn’t make me feel better about the whole thing. In the end, no matter what my choice is, Kane’s dad would die no matter what. The scary part is that I would have a hand in killing him. This was a lot to take in. It seemed like I didn’t have a lot of time to think about an answer either. I needed to make a choice here and now so they can carry this out with no delay. I took a deep breath and let it out through my nose. I nod towards Chaze and prepare myself for my options.

“Okay… Choice number one… Allow me to obtain the Chimera ability to become strong enough to beat Kane’s father. Now, I know I’ll be able to handle it as I can currently shift into two tribal animals, both in their second form.”

“Wait… I’m sorry, you can do what?” Chaze smirked as he thought I was impressed with his abilities. Honestly I was just confused on what he was trying to tell me. He can transform into two different animals, both animals looking like how he did at the club, is what he is saying. Right?

“My first form wasn’t a wolf, Ruby. I’m naturally a dragon. My father is the king of the Dragon Tribe. Later on my mother taught me to shift into a wolf, and from then on I learned to shift into my second form as a wolf.” Oh my god I have the hots for a dragon boy! Hmm, I wonder if he is still small for a dragon when he shifts. Maybe that is just a wolf issue of his… Either way I slowly nod my head to confirm that I understand what he is telling me.

“So again, this is why I believe I can master the Chimera form and not lose my sanity-”

“What is option two… Please.” I didn’t mean to dismiss the first option so quickly. It just sounded too risky. Plus, Benson was trying to get me to help him shift into a nine tailed fox. That didn’t go over well if I recall… Then again I wasn’t really trying either so. Regardless it seemed too complicated for something they needed results for now. Chaze didn’t mind me cutting him off as he smirked and sat back to slouch in his chair.

“The second option is you retake the nine tailed fox tribe as yours and add them to my fold. With their power I’ll be sure to end my father’s reign.” My mouth hung open a bit as confusion spread across my mind. Weren’t they all dead?

“Wait… Hold on, I thought Benson said that tribe was wiped out by Chimeras.”

“Supposedly, that’s what everyone was led to believe. However, sightings of them continue to increase in some parts of the country, more so in other countries but they still exist. Regardless, I know where they are and how strong their tribe is. All you need to do is claim your place as their ruler and align them with the Anubis Tribe.” Kane made it sound so easy. Just like that I could just snap my fingers and say, ‘hey tribe I’m new to shape shifting but I’m going to be your leader.’ Yeah, that won’t go over well.

“Oh, and before you think I’m making it sound easy, it is not.” I swear he is a mind reader. Chills ran down my back as he spoke his last words. I only waited for him to tell me how difficult of a task this really is.

“First, you’ll have to learn to shift into your second form as a nine tailed fox. This takes time and practice, years of building up and strengthening your form… We’re going to do it in several days.” My mouth hung open even more as he continued to talk.

“Second, you’ll have to fight their current leader. Defeat them in any way, shape, or form, and the tribe will bow to you. Third, convince them all to align themselves with the Anubius Tribe so that we can formulate a plan of attack against my father… Any questions?” Um, yes. Like, a million questions are swimming through my brain. I looked over at Chaze and he seemed to think highly of me. All he did was give me a thumbs up and wink while smirking.

“Um… Why me though, and why this particular tribe?”

“Well, for one, your dad used to lead the nine tailed fox tribe. Once your mom finally turned him after you were born he became a nine tailed fox shifter. When she died he gave you up for adoption as promised and joined his proper tribe. While he was there the Chimeras attacked them and he managed to escape. Supposedly when the tribe got back together they were waiting for him to return. However, he told them he wasn’t coming back because he felt like a certain Chimera was hunting him and he didn’t want to endanger the tribe. Sure enough, the Chimera caught up with him and killed him.” Chaze answered as he sat forward to tell me that story.

“Let me guess, it was your mother.” Kane and Chaze both nod their heads in agreement.

“Or at least she ordered the Chimera to kill him… Either way, your father sacrificed himself for his entire tribe. Knowing that, they’ll listen to his daughter in a heartbeat.” Kane adds as Chaze sat back to slouch in his chair again. He looked so good in those clothes it didn’t matter which way he sat, he was still hot!

“Okay, what is so special about the nine tailed foxes that you’re so keen on using?”

“I’m glad you asked. You see, only the nine tailed foxes have learned to master all elemental powers, including dark magic, which is what the Anubis Tribe uses. Not only will they be able to match my father’s forces, but they’ll be stronger because of the different elemental powers they possess.”

“This means, since you’re a nine tailed fox, you can learn more elemental powers than just water.” Chaze’s comment brought me back to my bedroom and our little session we had with my water power going off on its own. Oh god how I wanted to finish that, or start it since we really didn’t get anywhere. Just thinking about it made my body shiver. I crossed my legs to adjust my posture and my frame of mind. I cleared my throat while holding back my smile as I looked at Chaze. I think he can read minds too, because his bad-boy smirk was telling me he knew exactly what I was thinking of.

“I’ll take option two, please. It sounds like a lot of work but I’m willing to get results and do it fast.”

“You like it fast, huh…” Oh my god! Chaze did NOT just say that in front of Kane! My mind was in a frenzy at this point. I just gave him a look while fighting my smirk from showing on my face. I wasn’t doing a good job as Kane half smiled at me and Chaze.

“My lord, the raid has finally begun.” A gentleman walked into the balcony area and spoke. He startled me as he seemed to come out of nowhere. It took me a moment but I realized the man said something about a raid.

“What’s going on Kane?”

“Nothing at all. Just part of the plan. I’ll leave you and Chaze to it then. You can stay here for as long as you need. There are living quarters and a training facility on the lower level.”

“Wait, you’re leaving? What happened?” I stood up to chase after him but the other man blocked my path which halted my movements. For some reason I felt flustered and bothered by this news. I don’t know why but something about it didn’t feel right. I could feel my heart beating faster and faster within my chest.

“It's okay, Kane. I’ll tell her.” With that, Kane took his leave with the other man as I turned to Chaze.

“Tell me what, Chaze.” He didn’t look too pleased about his next few words, but he knew I wanted to hear them either way.

“There is a reason why we’re in Vampire Territory. You see, in order to make our kidnapping seem legit, Kane ordered the Vampires to attack the Ruby Wolf Pack… He called it Operation Ruby Raid. That man came in to tell Kane that they just showed up, and they’re attacking full force.” My eyes widened with disbelief. How could he sit there and be so callous about it. This was his own pack he was talking about. Doesn’t he care about them! What if some of them got hurt, or killed!

“I know what you’re thinking, Ruby. To be honest I don’t care about them as much as I do you, or my primary family. I’m a Dragon Tribe shifter first, not a ruby wolf pack, so my real family is the dragons. Second, I’m loyal to the Anubis Tribe. Always have been, always will be. One day all of this will stop because me and you will take the reins of this tribe. We’ll make it better, I swear.” His words moved me so deeply. He meant every single one. It broke my heart yet gave me hope all at once. I felt his sorrow but his resolve to see his own plan through was even stronger, and that plan included me.

“I told you before, my Ruby queen. You are mine, and I am yours. Nothing will change that… Nothing…” I didn’t know what to do. I could only stare at him in awe. On one hand my heart reached out to Benson and the Ruby Wolf Pack. On the other, my soul pulsated to the rhythm of Chaze’s resolve. We were in sync, as I also felt strongly about changing the Anubius Tribe. This conflict within me drained a lot of energy. So much so that I slowly sat back down as I stared at the ground. I could only pray and hope that none were killed during this attack. If I knew Benson well, even though they weren’t his pack, he would guard and protect them like they were… It was odd. I wouldn’t think Benson would still be there. I could feel him though. I just knew he was there at that club. Hopefully they all survive this...

Benson:

In the midst of our intimacy I slammed her back against the wall and pounded into her. She screamed with pleasure as her nails dug into my shoulders. She opened her tightly closed eyes and stared into mine as she panted lightly. She noticed that I wasn’t continuing. Her devilish smile spread across her face as she made a comment.

“Done already? I thought you’d last-”

“Give me the Chimera ability.” I interrupted her which didn’t please her. Before she could speak I grabbed the back of her hair and pulled as I pressed into her, making her moan deeply as I glared into her eyes.

“No more games, Shela. Teach me-”

“Or what! Huh! You’re going to beat me!” She shouts back as she struggles to free herself from my grasp. Nothing she did worked. She soon realized this and stopped fighting. She pouts as she rolls her eyes.

“Fine… Give me more, Benny. I wanna douse my scent all over you. So when you return to Ruby, she’ll know what you’ve done for the price of your own selfish ambition- Ah!” I started again to silence her talking. I perfred her moans and screams over her constant insults towards my relationship with Ruby. I thrusted into her harder and faster. She couldn’t keep up as her screams of pleasure grew louder. Her grip was stronger and I could feel her whole body tensing the more we continued. I was holding back the urge to go inside her. I needed this power and she was going to give it to me one way or another. Suddenly I felt something spark within me, within us. I could feel more than just her body. I felt her soul crying out to me, reaching out to join with hers. I closed my eyes as a vision came into my mind. It was Shela in her Chimera form, a mix between an anubis wolf, a lion, a ram, and a falcon, presented in her second form of shifting. Her elegant body was nude as her wings stretched out on each side. Her ram horns blended with her lion fur, which was presented as her hair. The dark black Anubis wolf sink color shaped her body well, leaving her breast and the middle of her body bare with human skin. I’ve never seen her in this form before yet it was clear as day. She was floating towards me while we were hovering in a vast open space with nothing around us. It looked like we were in an opal colored gem, its many colors shining around us and through us. She had an orb that continuously changed shape and form. I soon saw myself as the view panned out. I was also a Chimera. Suddenly the vision broke as we both jerked our heads back. This caused me to fall backwards while dropping her. Once I hit the ground my eyes were blurry for a moment.  They slowly corrected themselves as I sat up and looked into her shocked expression while she layed on her legs and hands. She slowly sat up as she continued to stare at me with confusion and disbelief. Apparently we both saw the same vision.

“You're… One of us?” She started off as she trembled with fear.

“Then why…”

“Benson!” My father’s voice broke in as he rammed the door open. As he rushed in, so did several ruby wolf pack members. He quickly looked at me and Shela’s current state, sweating and naked. He also looked in front of me where I had cummed after I fell. The others behind him didn’t need his IQ to figure this picture out.

“We’re being attacked. Vampires have arrived.” My father started off.

“We also got word that Ruby and Chaze were attacked at your house by them as well. In fact, they followed the Vampires here straight from your home.” I wasn’t even going to question why my father had them followed. At this point we needed to focus on the ambush at hand. I’m sure Chaze was successful in keeping Sandra safe, no need to worry about them at the moment.

“How many are left of the tribe?” I asked as I got up and reached for Shela’s hand. She was confused for a moment but quickly caught on and grabbed my hand.

“We’re all that's left…” The young man’s reply shattered my heart as I paused for a moment to do a quick head count of all that were in the room. At most, only fifteen have survived, most likely because my father was present. I finally helped Shela to her feet, to which she covered herself with my body as she stood behind me, blushing and ashamed.

“While you were in here with her, my son, we’ve been battling these demons… Had you been present, maybe the outcome of this attack would have been different.” My father still doesn’t know about my own objective. So to him, this was me being weak and succumbing to a beautiful ruby wolf pack member. I’m sure he can relate, seeing as he had Shela with another woman. Also, my father is unaware that Shela is his daughter. Shela also believes that I’m unaware. However, I know exactly who she is. And now, if Shela is wise like me, she’ll understand that I’m not her sibling. If our connection was as strong as I felt it was, she knows that Nicolas isn’t my father. Therefore, me and Shela aren’t related.

“What should we do?” The young man interjects my staring contest with my father. We took a few more moments to glare at each other before I fixed my attention on the wolf pack.

“We’re going to have to fight if we want to survive. If you all follow my instructions correctly, then we’ll survive this… I’m confident in my power. Plus, these vampires have never faced the King of the Lightning Lions…”

Kane:

I left Chaze and Ruby at the opera house and headed towards the nightclub where the raid was happening. Kyle was with me as we sat in the back of my limo. On our way there he got a phone call on his cell phone. Another update on the raid in progress.

“Yeah… Alright… What… I see… Well, we’re on our way now so… Thanks.” He hung up as he kept his eyes fixed forward. That wasn’t a good sign. I waited for him to say something but he didn’t. So I cleared my throat loudly which caught his attention.

“Oh… Sorry, Kane. I just got an update on the raid. My inside source reported that-”

“I don’t give a shit about the raid, Kyle. What did he tell you that has you fired up. Trust me, I can see the flames burning in your eyes.” I knew Kyle more than he knew himself. He was closer to me than Chaze was, and we’re not even related. He finally gave in with a sigh as he balled up his fist.

“Benson and Shela were caught having sex.” My nose twitched with annoyance and anger. So he was cheating on Ruby. At least Chaze will be happy to hear this. However, this was eating away at Kyle, which wasn’t making me feel calm about it either.

“They currently have him pinned down in the main hall of the club. Can’t take him down so they’re keeping him contained. He sacrificed himself so the other pack members could leave. At least, so he thought. My men managed to catch up to them and trap them in one of the hallways. They’re waiting for our arrival.”

“You want to fight him, don’t you.” Once I spoke that line his eyes glowed blood red as he stared into my soul.

“More than you know.” He replied as his fists remained balled up tightly.

“Fine, I’ll allow it.” Apparently my words shocked him to the point that he relaxed his whole body. He was confused. His mouth hung open for a second before he spoke.

“But my cover will be blown. They’ll know-”

“All they’ll know is what they already know to be true. The Anubis tribe has their hand in other tribes. You were just a sleeping agent.”

“It would be different if Benson didn’t know about vampires. I’m a vampire, Kane. He knows that your father lost that tribe and has no control over it.”

“No, Kyle. It’ll only confuse him and his father greatly. Besides, from what I’ve been gathering, Benson could care less. He has his own agenda at play here, and it involves Shela.” My words perked him up even more as he listened intensely.

“Why would he need Shela, for what… Oh wait, the Chimera power. He wants her power.”

“Smart man, Kyle. The only problem is we don’t know why. This plan of his doesn’t include his father either. And, he is very desperate to get it.”

“Enough to sex up Shela for it too.” He growled as he tensed his body again. I shook my head and smirked as I relaxed and faced forward.

“I already told you that you’re fighting him, so what is the problem?” Kyle didn’t have anything to say back. He remained angered as we drew near the club.

“Who are you more angry towards, Shela or Benson?”

“I can’t decide at this point. Who knows, maybe if I see her I’ll snap and attack her first.”

“Well, you can’t. She is my eyes and ears within the Chimera Tribe so no harm shall come to her… Got it?” He nodded his head after considering what I said. As if my statement was to be considered. It was an order, a demand, a ruling, none shall object to my command. Not even my best friend. However, I’ll let this slide since he wasn’t in the right state of mind.

“Don’t kill him, Kyle.”

“Really, Kane? You’re going to let that bastard-”

“I said, don’t kill him.” My anubis voice came forth a bit which settled his angered demeanor. I don’t mind him acting tough for the sake of hyping himself up, but disobeying my orders, even questioning them, wasn’t going to be tolerated no matter who it was.

“You’re pretty serious about keeping him alive, whatever, I get it. All part of the bigger picture, yeah?” He comments as he raises an eyebrow. He was confused on why I didn’t just kill him and get on with my plan. Honestly, Benson is part of the plan. He just doesn’t know it.

“Yeah… You’ll understand soon enough. Anyways, we’re here.” The limo slowed down to a halt and we both got out. We were greeted by members of Kyle’s vampire tribe. They quickly brought us to Benson and the scene unfolded once we entered the main hall. Many of the vampires were tossed about and badly wounded. I couldn’t tell if some of them were dead or not. He was in his second stage of shifting. Electricity danced around him as he panted lightly. He has been fighting for some time now and he didn’t even break a sweat. His eyes soon fixed on me and Kyle as we approached him. The vampires fighting him made room for us to get near him.

“What the hell are you doing here, Prince Kane.” Benson started off as he growled. I signaled for Kyle to stop walking as I continued. Once I was close enough where I didn’t need to shout I looked up at him.

“Hmm… This would get annoying looking at you from this angle.” I used the dark magic of levitation and made myself float up towards him until my eyes met his. He growled louder as my smirk spread across my face. He suddenly lashed out and threw a punch towards me. I didn’t even blink as his fist hit a purple barrier that glowed upon contact. Did he really think I’d just walk up to him without guarding myself? Maybe he thought he was strong enough to break my guard. Either way, this man was foolish to believe he'd be able to lay a hand on me.

“Save your energy for your true opponent… I’m just here to let you know that Ruby is my prisoner now.” His face softened as he heard me speak her name. I was delighted with his confusion as he couldn’t understand why I had her.

“Yes, Benson. I know all about your precious Ruby. We talked for a while, mostly informational, but we spoke. She melted when I told her I was attacking this club. Of course Chaze tried to be the hero. He did well for an alpha… But not well enough to protect her…” This lie was eating away at his mind. Even though he flexed with each word I spoke I knew he was powerless.

“Now she’s all mine… Well, mine and whomever wants a taste of her. I would have had my way with her but she simply wouldn’t please me in the slightest. Not my type I suppose… Oh well, I guess she’ll be tasteful enough for the other members in my tribe. Who knows how many will penetrate her holes. Maybe one, maybe six, who knows…” Good, I’ve angered him enough that his eyes were a solid yellow color. The electricity dancing around him was now running all over his body chaotically. His breathing quickened as his rage began to boil.

“Well, that is all I have to say. Hopefully you’ll escape this encounter in time to save her from such a fate. If not, you’ll be captured and brought to our prison regardless. You’ll have time to comfort her through cell walls, maybe through an actual wall if I feel like making your reunion with her dramatic enough. I’m unpredictable that way… Bye for now…” I hovered back to the ground and began to walk towards Kyle. Benson remained where he was. Once I reached Kyle I patted his shoulder and smirked.

“He is all fired up for you. Don’t fail me, Kyle.”

“Right… What the hell did you say to him?” He asked with a questioning raise of his eyebrow.

“Oh, you know, that Ruby might be getting raped by my tribe right about now.” His eyes widened as he smirked, he almost started to laugh but kept his composure as he fixed his face to a more serious one.

“Wow, Kane… You’re pretty messed up, you know that?” I could only smirk back as I shrugged.

“I know… Now kick his ass, please and thank you.”

“With pleasure.” His eyes began to glow a blood red color as he walked towards Benson.

“Kyle! Not your second stage! Stay in your first!”

“Not a chance!” He shouts back. I huffed with a smile.

“Come on! We agreed upon this, friend!”

“Fine! Half and half!”

“Flash slash!”

“What the hell do you think this is, pokemon! Stop calling out stupid ass moves!” Yes, this shouting back and forth was to further piss off Benson. It was working as he suddenly lunged towards Kyle with lightning speed. Benson only managed to create a large dent in the ground as he missed. Kyle had exploded into several bats right before his fist touched him. The bats swirled around and suddenly gathered in a straight line behind Benson. In a blink of an eye they all turned blood red and burst forward with the speed of light. A loud ripping sound echoed as Benson’s flesh, muscles, bones wore shredded from back to front. A large gash wound burst open as blood sprayed on the floor. Benson dropped to his knees as he roared in pain. I can see him trying to endure the attack, trying to get back on his feet. By the time Kyle reformed into a human in front of Benson from the swarm of bats he turned into, Benson had dropped faced down in his own pool of blood. I smiled as I saw Kyle’s face. He was currently satisfied with his attack. He delighted in bringing down such a strong foe in front of his tribe. This was a reminder of why he was the ruler of the vampire tribe.

“Had fun?”

“Not really… But, it’ll do for now… Do you think I overdid it?” We both looked at Benson as he made his comment. We didn’t see him breathing which worried both of us greatly. Soon, we saw his back move up and down. We both sighed then looked at each other and laughed.

“Shit… I thought you were about to beat my ass.” He laughed as I hung my arm on his shoulder while he headed out.

“Yeah, me too… I’m glad he survived that.”

“Touch bastard that one.”

“Good, he’ll do well for what I have in store for him… Make sure your tribe brings him through the back entrance of the opera house. I don’t want Ruby knowing he is there just yet.” Kyle nodded his head and stopped in front of the limo.

“Got it… I’ll hang back and make sure my tribe finishes up here.” With that said Kyle headed back in as I entered the limo and drove off. On my way back the only thing I could think of was how to tell Ruby that Benson did in fact cheat on her. For some reason this troubled me deeply. I don’t know why, as I normally take delight in such things. She must be different somehow. She doesn’t know it, but she resembles her mother greatly. The truth is I loved her mother, more than my own, obviously… Maybe a part of me feels bad that I couldn’t save her mother… Either way, the end result of this news wasn’t going to be pretty...

Kane:After our little venture to Chaze’s nightclub, I met up with Kyle when he called me and said he was done. He reported that the Ruby Wolf Pack were pretty much done for. Only about fifteen to twenty members were left alive. They were all captured and taken to the opera house. Since he finished so quickly I had him meet me at our favorite cafe for a quick bite. We talked and laughed about his little fight with Benson. We didn’t stay there long and soon arrived at the opera house. The moment we entered the theater we slowed our pace down as two figures stood with their backs to us. The first figure was undoubtedly my father. The second figure was a large man with no shirt on. It took me a moment but I quickly figured out who this giant of a man was.“Ah, my son, Kane.” My father started as he heard us coming towards them. The ot

What could possibly-”“Look who is insulting who?” I cut him off as my eyes glared with vengeance rising. To be honest Nicolas hasn’t really done anything to me, per say. • Where Ruby's Heart Belongs   Chapter 7: Confrontation

Kyle:I waited upstairs in the lobby of the opera house. Some of the vampires were getting annoyed that they had to tend and treat the prisoners with some kind of respect. Also, we haven’t tortured anyone. Normally there was some kind of screaming or wailing in pay whenever we captured shifters. Most of them died during such activities but we didn’t care. Most of them entered our territory or we decided to expand ours. Either way, I had to settle them down. Once Kane is done with them then we’ll see what he wants us to do. I’m scary enough but mentioning that Kane was in charge of this round up set them straight. They knew my hands were tied so they didn’t push back too much. They were just tired of waiting and wanted something to do. As we finished up talking I saw Kane and Shela coming from the basement. She was unshackled and jumping up and down like a happy little puppy. M

Kane:Once I made the hole in the floor I leaped down to the lower level. I was unaware of what I’d face so my senses were heightened. Chaze followed me in his dragon form, first stage. He must have read my mind because I was going to suggest he shift into his third, which he did the moment I thought about it. I also adjusted myself to a smaller version of my first stage of shifting. I wasn’t going to maneuver well as big as I was. It was dark, barely lit from the battle that took place down here. Some lights hung loosely from the ceilings. As we went down the hallways we stumbled upon corpses of both parties, vampires and demons. I can tell by the wounds the one killing the demons was Kyle. Having said that, I also know those markings which killed the vampires. I was hoping it was just all in my mind but, I was doubting it the more we ventured onward.

Gale:[Earlier that day]I never did like visiting Cena’s place of operations. This love resort was a glorified hotel room for horny sex addicts, both shifters and humans alike. It’s like a wasp sting that repeats its action over and over. Nothing comes of it, no pain is gained on my end yet the insect keeps trying to do harm. I don’t have time for such a nuisance but I needed to see Shela about our quest today. As I ventured from the entrance of the resort into the building I can see and feel the pathetic lusting energy swelling from the inside out. I was greeted several times by shifters and humans. They all complimented my ‘cosplay’ as they called it. You see, this love resort was focused on human desires and fantasies coming true. So outfits, costumes, characters and the like were a constant theme. From maids to cowboys, to ali

I continued to climb the rumble up to the lobby floor as Kane and Chaze ventured into the basement. I wasn’t sure what to expect so I shifted into my second stage. I poked my head out to make sure there wasn’t any danger while I searched for Shela. It was a mess up here. Kane must have been fighting a lot when the attack started. I saw some lingering vampires helping each other and trying to see if any more demons were present. I felt comfortable knowing that the vampires have taken control of this floor. I helped myself out of the hole and began looking around. Several vampires noticed me and began waving towards me while calling my name.“Ruby! Over here! Could you help?” I hurried to them and saw who I believed was Shela in her wolf form, second stage. She looked very similar to Chaze, only she was my height. Her fur was red like Chaze’s second stage of shifting in hi

Benson:“Who’s your daddy?” Jackson spoke to me. Before they stormed my cell I heard when they first arrived. After my conversation with Ruby I was in a peaceful state. My body shivered as the attack started from backstage of the auditorium. I could only listen as the fighting grew. I’m guessing Jackson and Gallant used these so-called demons to hold off Kane and Kyle. I’m not sure where Chaze or Ruby were but I knew for a fact they weren’t there at the heart of the battle. My ears followed the two of them, more so Jackson’s humming and singing as he slaughtered many vampires in their way. I could hear them getting closer to my cell which was surprising. What would they want with prisoners? From my understanding the ruby wolf pack were the only ones down here, and me. They soon arrived and mentioned that we needed to speak. It was at that moment that I first saw th

Me and Shela followed close behind him as he reached the lobby, the source of the explosion. A horde of demons flooded in as Kane instantly shifted into his first stage Anubis form. Before I could shift a second explosion went off from underneath us.“Go! Benson and the ruby wolf pack are down there!” Shela shouts and shifts into her fiery wolf form, second stage. She was able to help Kane for a moment but I could see her struggling. Hopefully Chaze and Ruby were down there since the training hall was closer to the prisoners. Then again, that room was built like a forte. I doubt they could hear anything let alone feel the rumble of battle. I decided quickly that

Ruby:The battle was very intense. I didn’t know how to fight this enemy. I wasn’t sure if I should be fighting at all. I was torn between helping the injured and fighting the swarm of Ra shifters. It became confusing as they started shape shifting into other tribe animals. We quickly figured out that no matter what, they couldn’t get rid of a gold ring on their body somewhere. Either on their arms, legs, around their neck, in their hair, somehow or another this gold ring appeared on their body. Very cocky for a god to have his underlings represent him no matter what. I felt like I wasn’t helping the fight. Either I help save the ones that were hurt, which means more get hurt because I’m not getting rid of the swarm. Or I fight Ra’s army and let those that get injured die. Before I could make a decision Anubis found his way to me.

What is even more confusing, is that there are those that believe Bastet is Anubis’s mother.” Lero explained, which didn’t sound like an explanation, just more bullshit Anubis would sprout to keep everyone confused.“Some thought she was his sister too. In fact, Sopdet is his sister. There was a time when she took the name Bastet in her honor.” I looked in the rearview mirror at Cena and Lero. I was confused as to why she would do such a thing. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Everything seemed okay. This bothered me since I was expecting a hell of a lot more fighting and protection.“Come on, let's head inside.” Kyle suggested as we slowly made our way to the door. Gale was fighting one of the dragon kings, I forget his name but it doesn’t matter I suppose. Either way, once I noticed how much damage we’ve done already I shifted back into my human form which confused the spider. He shifted into his human form as well, which still shrouded him in mystery as his entire body was covered in a long dark green cloak. It almost looked black from how faded and used it was.
