Chapter 40: Last Day Interpreting A Role?

Hema’s POV

It has been a while since

I last spoke with Veer and I know how busy he is. That’s why he didn’t call

too. I decided to call to hear from him. Nadia was already back, sleeping

tiredly. I reached the living room with a glass of orange juice and sat on one

of the couches. I sipped my drink and placed the cup on the coffee table before

calling Veer.

“Hello?” I spoke softly

into the phone.

“I thought you had

forgotten me,” he threw the words at me from the other end. I chuckled

slightly.

“I think we should both

be accusing each other because you didn’t call to,” I retorted and he laughed.

“How have you been, brother?” I asked, cheerfully.

“Always busy. You?” he

said.

“I’m good. I just missed

your voice so much and I decided to hear it.”

“I missed you too, sis.

But don’t worry, I will be coming over this weekend. No matter the schedule, I

will postpone it to come and see you,” he stated.
