After I had chosen to build a world for myself to feel home in, Jill helped me reprogram myself. The very core of my data would become the endless power supply for this world. As I live, this world lives.” Charles explained.

Normally cores are created for each person. They are too weak on their own to sustain anymore than that. Since Charles has such a large core, it's possible to add Jill's data to it. My sister can come back.” Coral said.

Then what are we waiting for. I can’t do a lot while Noah’s in surgery

The juggernauts opened the surgery doors revealing a blood soaked room and a newly healed Noah lying still unconscious on the operating table. After wheeling him out and leaving him in the care of the castle's doctors they approached a troubled Charles with results.“I can see this is not a good time to talk but the job is done. The boy is mostly human as you wished for my king. We will get a report typed up for you immediately.” one of the juggernauts said.“Thank you once again for all your help. It was from this point in the castle that offered the best views of the world he loved.Standing and looking down at his

  • Where Do We Belong?   Thanks and Apologies

Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who has read and enjoyed this novel so far. This really does mean a lot to me and I'm so glad I've been able to write a new chapter every day. I've been scammed by fake publishers before which has made it difficult to write so being able to write a new chapter every day is truly a miracle for me. As for my apologies, I would like to start with there being no chapter tonight and possibly not for the rest of the week. I had a slight cold over last weekend which has just gotten so much worse. I'm glad it isn't covid but it I do need a lot of rest and being able to see is a bit difficult at the minute so please excuse any spelling mistakes due to that. As soon as I am better, I will get right back to typing new chapters and hopefully being back on doing a new chapter a day. I hope everyone can understand the need for me to delay uploading. It is especially frustrating for me as I was able to writ

  • Where Do We Belong?   Chapter 25: Wren's Mistake

Wren was not happy about visiting Tech Town again in the slightest but of course he couldn’t admit that to Charles. The plan had been made and this was a chance to end Logan once and for all. There was no room for error or personal emotion to come into it. If one’s own personal emotion had come as an option then Jill would be alive again and Logan would be destroying the world as they spoke. As soon as Wren got to Tech Town using the new form of transport they were fortunate to make, it wasn’t long before he got himself into trouble. Logan reached Tech Town but of course had no idea who its ruler was so he stayed on his hover disk to get around faster.

  • Where Do We Belong?   Chapter 26: A Frosty Start

Dylan had been warned before he landed on Sugartop Mountain. It was the newest realm built by Charles and Jill inside the world. In fact it was only just coded and built the day before the storm knocked the box out of Jill’s window. This meant that it was possible for the residents to be quite monotonous and automatic.Free will was a program that took time and required decisions to be made in order for it to work. The same was true of the world itself. Jill had always wanted to learn winter sports but could never stand the” being around others” aspect or the frigid colds. That’s when Charles asked her if she wanted to plan their own ski resort inside the box.

  • Where Do We Belong?   Chapter 27: Nature's Rules

Dylan was hesitant to ask about the rules and the hold that nature seemed to have on the residents of this realm. Once again however, his curiosity knew best. Despite this world existing at most for possibly a few months, Fred was quick to tell Dylan that they had been living like this for years. It would seem that while time flows the same for everyone, their concept of how much time has passed is all different. This realm is fairly new and yet it has already established its history to date back at least several years.Dylan knew he should hurry up and

Cassidy was the one who got lucky. The grave realm wasn’t as bad as she was expecting. Not to mention she does live in a cemetery surrounded by dead people every day. This is exactly what the grave realm was all about. It was just one never ending cemetery surrounded by lights and festivities and only a few buildings. As soon as Cassidy stepped foot in the grave realm, she felt like she had come home. Everywhere she looked there was tombstone after tombstone and it brought a tear to her eye. She saw ghosts looking at her before trying to go invisible but she told them it wouldn’t work on her.

Charles was busy preparing things in the castle when he noticed everyone slowly returning. Wren seemed pleased with himself and told Charles that he had received help for the army. When asked about what Tech Town could do or how the CEO was feeling about it, Wren simply avoided the questions. He didn’t want to be seen as the one who messed up or had to take matters into his own hands. In truth, Wren never actually intended on getting help from them. It seemed that somehow, his time in Tech Town had given him a great hatred over the place and its people.Dylan did not look in a good state either. He told Charles of everything that happened. Not to mention his speculation over Logan’s involvement

The real world was so much brighter than they remembered and there was no telling how long they had been gone. The adventure they had inside the box was perilous but it brought them closer. They became a family and now they were each ready to face their truths together. The wizards were not used to this new world that looked nothing like their island. They were also surprised to learn that they could not use magic. Jill explained that in the real world people can't use magic but they wish they could. Once she learned of the news she set up a way for them to exist. She got them identification and some money to start their lives. She told them where to go and wished them well. All Cassidy could do was sit and watch as Jill walked out of the core. She reached out her hand, desperate to grab hold of her but stopped herself. She knew she had to let her go so all she could do was clutch onto her backpack and keep it safe. The next five minutes would be the most fear she ever felt in her entire life. The countdown hit zero and the core locked itself down. Officially no way in or out and everything went dark. The core shut down and violent tremors began within. There wasn’t anything they could do but hope it would work out. Jill, before resetting everything, also made sure to destroy any external connections both from her father's hacking and her own computers.

“This is probably a bad time to ask but given everything that’s going on, are you feeling okay Jill?” Cassidy asked.“Well, I just murdered my father and watched him die a gruesome death. Then I find out the original box died with him along with the gems needed to get you out of here. Now I have to find a way to erase the damage he did to this world and get rid of all the intruders he placed here before something else goes horribly wrong. Plus, on top of all of that, if I don’t get you three out of here soon, you may never be able to leave.” Jill explained. “Is there anything else I’m missing?”

The juggernaut's realm was vast with many small cities. The area Logan was seen in was nothing more than a dock filled with boats and warehouses. It wasn’t going to be easy to find him. Jill had enough of just about everything at this point and so she did the only thing she could. To prepare for what had to be done, she took a small sample of Cassidy’s potion and used it to build a small device. It looked like nothing more than a watch but it would be able to tell them if Sean and Logan were fully merged. If they were, then Jill would finally put a stop to the monster that was once her father.

It wasn’t until his father later gave him a love of music instead that would become his new dream. After saying this to Cassidy, Jaune stood up and just left. The other wizards also fled along with anyone who was fighting for Logan. Charles warned everyone fighting on his side of a possible trap and urged them to return to their kingdoms. Everyone agreed but the CEO stayed behind.“Jill, how exactly did you get the designs for the people of this world?” Cassidy asked.“We just used all the real-life inspir

As Dylan took to taking care of Wren’s wound, all other eyes were on Jill. She told them even with data slowly taking over, this wasn’t normal. Charles ran inside his core and scanned the whole area. It was just as Jill said. Cassidy, Dylan, and Noah were all under 40% data. To be in this world it was only natural to be slowly affected by data consumption but being human kept it as a very slow takeover. Once they left the box all data would have remained inside except for Noah due to his surgery.“What did you do to me?” Wren asked, pointing towards Logan.

  • Where Do We Belong?   Chapter 31: Speak Your Truth

As Charles arrived at the edge of the core, the others were already waiting for him on the platform nearby. It was a strange feeling for Charles to be both at the beginning of the end and at the very site where Jill met her end. There was no time to dwell on things outside of his control however as there were more important things to do.“I need to focus on removing each layer of security before we get to the core itself. After that, I need to focus on bringing Jill back. Use the hover disks you got from Tech Town and stay close but keep your eyes peeled.” Charles explained.“
