LUCAS’ POV

I cursed myself for getting into this in the first place. It was all my fault, if I had stayed back that night instead of downing myself in shots of scotch whiskey, Audrey wouldn't have been here. Now, I stood a greater chance of losing Samantha– again.

When will all of these end? "Lucas you don't need to bother with Samantha, after all she's a grown woman she'll do–" she placed her hands on my shoulders.

"Get your filthy hands off me," I was losing my cool as much as I tried to keep it in check.

She gasped and laughed, "You and I know there's no denying that you own this pregnancy," she inched towards me and leaned in so close I could breath in her perfume that smelled of fresh vanilla.

"That child is not mine," I drawled, reminding myself of the numerous reasons why I don't lay my hands on women. Audrey was pushing me to the wall so bad and I was struggling to keep my head in place.

She ran her fingers over my chin, "Baby, we could just continue from where we–"
