LUCAS’ POV

It was bound to happen, hell it was. I should have seen it coming and protected her from my father's rage. His selfishness had led me to this point, albeit into the arms of the woman I couldn't breathe properly if she wasn't close.

I pushed the door open, rage coursing through my veins like a volcano threatening to erupt and destroy anything in its wake. She wasn't going anywhere, at this point I don't give a flying hoot what anyone thought. I was done trying to live my life under someone else's rules, it was time to do what I wanted to, just how I pleased.
