Inside classroom 2A on the second floor, the students chattered amongst themselves while waiting for their Professor.
Three young women were busy taking photos of themselves and browsing online.
Matilda called Halynn as she was not in the room yet. They just got there not long ago.
“Heyy.. You guys here yet?” Matilda asked. She came early, excited to know what happened after they separated last night.
“Mmn. I’m on my way up now.” She said, her steps unhurried.
“Okay… See you then..”
“Mn.”
Outside of the classroom, Diana was only a few steps to the door when she saw a familiar face just outside the door, looking at the time on his wristwatch.
It made her look at her wristwatch too, sighing in relief when she saw she’s not late yet.
“Good morning, Professor!” Diana greeted with a s

“What’s your next subject, Diana?” Cora asked as Diana came back to her seat, bringing a round container and a light purple drink. “Umm.. I have Early Human Development at 1..” She answered after remembering her schedule. “Is it at 3A?” Diana nodded. Clap! Cora clapped her hands together, her face full of smiles. “We’re in the same class! Kobe too.. Let’s see.. That ends at 5pm, do you have another class after that?” Diana shook her head, slurping on the bubble tea. “Us too.. Tomorrow we have Introduction to Clinical and Community.. That’s every Monday and Wednesday, all morning. Then what else…” “Medicine I in the afternoon.” Kobe reminded her. “Oh..yeah.. Medicine I, also every Monday and Wednesday, all afternoon. We only have 4 subjects this semester. What about you?”
Olly turned to look at his friend. Shaking his head, he decided to drop the topic. As much as he felt bad for his girlfriend’s friend, he also didn’t want to side with her against his own friend. He has seen Jayden being approached by other girls. Initially they would say they were attracted to his looks, talents, skills or achievements, or even outright say they like his body. But in the end, they’re really just eyeing the position as his future wife. In the digital era, IT companies are really booming. Barrington Centre has been successful all these years, from rank 20, 6 years ago, now it has entered the top 10. Their ultimate goal is to beat Lovell Technologies which is ranked 1st Internationally. At 22 years old, not only is Jayden busy building his career, he is also busy fending off gold-diggers. Although Halynn’s family, Ashton Family, has a lot of branches of t
She took off her cat-eye glasses, wiped the lenses clean then wore them again. Going back to the first question, she made sure that the results were correct. She carefully selected the questions to include in her surprise quiz. The number of questions were 50 in total and taken from the first 5 chapters of their textbook. It is expected for the students to have a difficult time in answering questions that have not been discussed yet. She was even prepared to tell them how important it is to always be prepared and read in advance. They’re already adults, they should not be spoon-fed anymore. But when she saw one student who seemed so nonchalant while the quiz was going on, she couldn’t help but be annoyed. It was as if the student disregarded her effort in preparing it. When the student told her she finished it already, she thought it was absurd. How can anyone finish the quiz that quick and b
Jayden felt a sandal’s pointed toe going up and down on his leg, making him annoyed. He shifted his leg to the side, shaking off her foot. “Your classes done today?” He casually asked. “Mn. I have Biochem at this time, but it’s okay..” She honestly said. ‘He should know how I wanted to meet him more than to sit in class.’ Jayden frowned. “You skipped class?” “Uh-hmm. But like I said, it’s okay. It’s still the first meeting. I’ll just make up to it next time.” She assured him. He didn’t say more. ‘Tsk. So desperate.’ “So, what course are you taking?” He began. Just that one query made Halynn smile brighter. ‘He’s interested in getting to know me.’ “I’m taking up a Medical course.” “Mmm.. Olly’s girlfriend and the others too?” He guessed that they would since
The two stayed the night again at the hotel. With what happened the previous night, she was more prepared. Before she came to the hotel, she stopped by at the mall to buy a few extra clothes and other necessities. She also bought a container to organize it in the back of her car’s trunk. With this, she’ll be ready to sleepover anytime and won’t have to worry about what to wear the next day. Halynn was so happy with their relationship’s development that she kept asking if she could spend the night with him more often. “Let’s talk about it next time, okay? I have a meeting with my colleagues tomorrow.” She nodded, her head down in disappointment. Jayden was about to leave for his class when he noticed that Halynn was still moping. Sighing, he inwardly rolled his eyes. “How about I take you to your class?” At this, her head finally lifted and h
Kobe wondered how Dr. Hector Gallagher is a teacher. Hearing Diana’s response, he thought that she had met him. “Mn.” Diana nodded but didn’t elaborate. As they were getting closer to the cafeteria where there was much more noise, Kobe didn’t ask any more questions and just looked for a table for them. Jayden wanted to go sit at the table near Diana but Halynn and her friends pulled him to a table far away. “I’ll go get some food too.. Meet you back here.” He told Halynn then got up to leave. Halynn didn’t think much about it and just went to get her own food as well. A few stalls away, Diana was waiting in line. Jayden’s eyes glinted. He finally found her. His pace quickened as he hurried to her side. “Oh, hello there. You like sushi too?” Jayden smiled, his tone friendly. Last time, he approached her
The students waited for Diana to say she doesn’t know the answer.“Hmp.. She probably won’t be able to answer that.”“Eh? Who knows? Isn’t she an Alumna here? Isn’t it that students who graduated here are called the cream of crop?”“Psh.. Isn’t that because they’re from rich families and know how to manipulate the grading system?”Sshh.. don’t let anyone hear you say that..”“Tsk. Just look at her. You think she’ll be able to answer?”“No--I don’t..”The student was about to say more when Diana finally spoke.“B cells differentiate from lymphoid cells in the bone marrow in a way that allows them to express an antigen receptor on the surface permanently. The expression of the receptor is a defin
