Standoff

Sterling saw the red-haired woman leave the cafe.

Her hair like fire swayed against her hips like a dance.

She was rummaging through her bag when suddenly a man ran up to her and forcefully made her look at him.

She pushed the man away as soon as she realized who it was but the man didn’t let go of his grip from her elbow.

She winced in pain.

As soon as Sterling saw the man approach the woman, he quickly jumped up from his seat and went out of the door.

The baristas were surprised at his sudden action and were about to call him when they noticed that he had left his phone behind on the table.
