“I don’t think Morris would be that kind of person. But thank you..”
Her loving eyes burned into him, stirring his soul.
“No need to thank..” His voice turned husky as he lowered his head and brought her lips for a kiss that gradually turned passionate.
Diana felt his fingers run through her hair sending tingles down her spine. “Mmm..”
She craned her neck, giving access to his kisses while one hand held him closer and the other grabbed his hair.
His fingers tugged at her nipple through her lingerie until it perked up. He felt her leg rest on his waist and pulled him closer. His hand left her breast and moved downwards, pulling her lace underwear off.
She sucked in her breath as she felt bare at the bottom. He disentangled himself from her, taking off his boxers, tossing it aside.
She saw his bare body in all his glory, looki
Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! The sound of the alarm clock in the room stirred the couple awake and so did the others in their own rooms. Lucas reached out and turned the alarm off, yawning. His eyes blinked adjusting to the light. “Mmm.. ‘morning..” Diana stretched out, her body slightly sore. “Morning, love..” He turned his face and kissed her cheek. “Do we have other plans for today?” She lazily rolled on the bed and stretched her body like a cat. Lucas threw the blanket off him and got out of bed. “Hmm.. I don’t think so. Unless you want to visit grandma and grandpa today..” “Yeah, we could do that..” “Okay.. then we’ll go there..” “Love, what about the items?” “Didn’t your cousin say that they’ll handle it?”
While the crew cleaned up after they had their breakfast, they all gathered in the lounge. “Guys, it has been a lot of fun hanging out with everyone. Don’t forget about our plan for next summer! We’ll let you guys know a month in advance at least so you can fix your schedule. So no, Zeke and I will hand out the consolation prizes.” Nicole took the lead, she was not at all intimidated being in the presence of some of those older than her. She’s known them for as long as she could remember that it was impossible to start feeling shy now. Ezekiel stood beside her, picking up the big paper bags one after the other as she announced the names. “Kate, come on up..” As Nicole announced, Kate stood up from the couch and walked to the front. Ezekiel handed her the paper bag, offering her a friendly smile. She then went back to her seat and waited until everyone received theirs before checking what’s inside. She didn’t know w
Katherine stared at Morris full of bewilderment. The more that she got to know him, the more she realized how shameless he could be if he wanted to. She wasn’t wrong in this assumption. Morris has always been this way towards people he’s comfortable with. One could say that Tuesday Palmer never had the chance to see this side of him. “Where’s your dad now? Oh.. and do I call him Uncle? Or father-in-law? Or dad?” She was taken aback by his words that shot like a machine gun. “Ahemmm.. Just call him Uncle..” He nodded. “Alright. I’ll call them Aunt and Uncle for now..” Katherine’s lip twitches when she hears his words. ‘For now..’ “So, where do we pick him up?” “Let me call him..” Katherine took out her phone and called her dad. “Katie.. You back home?”
“How did you know where I live?” Katherine was dumbfounded when she realized that she didn’t tell him her home address. She was so caught up with their conversation that she forgot to tell him after she hung up her phone. “Of course I know.. You wrote it in your resume, remember?” His brow was up as his lip curved into a smile. Her pointy finger’s pad made circles on her thumbnail. Her lips were puckered and her brows knitted together. “Ah..haha..yeah.. I didn’t realize that you read it.. Or remember it for that matter..” She didn’t think he actually read their resumes. She thought it was all handled by the managers and the HR. “Are you surprised?” She nodded stiffly. “Do you remember that time when you went for the interview?” “Yeah..” Of course she remembered. She was so nervous at that time.
“WHAT?!” Katherine was scared out of her wits. ‘Did Dad see?!’ She was scared of what his reaction would be if he saw them too close to each other. Outside, Edgar was looking in their direction. He walked up to the car. Katherine’s heart beated even loudly. ‘Oh my god!!’ “Did he see us..that way?” She whispered. Morris was taking off the seatbelt when he heard her words. He then noticed that she looked rather nervous. “Are you okay?” Her mouth fell open. ‘You asking me if I’m okay? Aren’t you nervous yourself?!’ “What if he saw us?” An eyebrow raised at this. “And? What’s wrong with that?” “He doesn’t know that we’re already together!” ‘Together. I like the sound of that.’ His lips curved in a smile. “We’re abou
“We’re here.” Both Katherine and Edgar looked out of the window. They could see the humongous building with glass windows displaying cars inside. Around them were cars neatly lined up in the parking lot with prices written in huge numbers. Morris stepped out of the car, snapping the two out of their daze. He came around and opened the door for Katherine. Seeing this, Edgar opened the door on his own, not waiting for Morris to open it for him like earlier. He stared dumbfounded at the building. ‘Aren’t they supposed to pick up the prize? Isn’t this a car dealership showroom?’ “Mr. Ingram..good to see you, Sir.. Miss Atwood, welcome..” Only then, Edgar, noticed that a man in a suit came out of the building to meet them. The manager noticed another person with them. “Miss Atwood’s father..” Morris spoke.
“You already have a boyfriend?!” Ursa exclaimed as soon as Katherine told her. “Yes, mom.” Ursa felt a slight pang in her heart. She wasn’t able to watch over her daughter for 8 years. She didn’t get to experience being confided on by her daughter about her crush or having suitors. And now suddenly she’s told that her daughter already has a boyfriend! “What’s his name? Is he an old classmate? A neighbor? A workmate? A person from a blind date or dating site? A friend? A friend’s relative?” Ursa shot one question after another. ‘I should have asked her if she had anybody wooing her. It’s my fault. I still saw her as my little girl.’ Katherine sat by the hospital bed and held her mother’s hand. “His name is Morris. You could say he’s a workmate. A friend’s soon-to-be relative. And a friend.” “Morris..” “
Needless to say, Morris was well-received in the Atwood family. If Edgar had reservations before, with how he was willing to go to such lengths to protect Katherine and even to extend his care to the people she loves, it was no question how sincere he was to her. This may be Katherine’s first relationship but she’s already an adult. She knows how to take responsibility. There’s no need to interfere. If they want to seek advice, only then will they speak. Morris didn’t feel awkward at all. He only wanted them to be at ease with Katherine and his relationship. He didn’t allow them to feel intimidated by him at all. He served them the food he had picked up from The Waterfront Well. He served Katherine especially. As for Katherine, she felt blissfully happy having him. “Uncle, can I take Katherine for a bit? I’ll drop her off at
