Avery felt moved by his words.

He had spent the past few days in silence, and she had thought that he would never open up to her ever again. She had not expected that he was worried about putting her in danger.

"I've talked to Angela and she said she's only interested in the award and promised that she won't come after us, so don't worry. No one has come looking for trouble since you come back." She wrapped her arms around his waist. "Elliot, we don't have to worry about things that haven't happened yet..."

"Angela will marry Dean Jennings," he said.
