“You know, you look good and sun kissed.” Jackie looked over her shoulder at Bobby and shook her head.
“Is that some type of line?”
“Well it could be to say you look really good.” He took a step back and made a show of looking her over. “Or it could be saying that those shorts highlight the tan that you got.”
“Damn Bobby, are you always flirting? Or do I just get like something special?”
“Nope, I do tend to flirt a lot, but rarely do I mean it, unless it’s you.” Bobby turned around and rested his back on the bar as he looked at her. “But all of that was true.
They watched as Greg got up, glancing at Jackie and then left. Jackie sighed and then looked around the room, noticing many customers just turned their head away as if it was nothing. “Bobby,” she started, and he looked at her. “What?” he said as if what he did was no big deal. “Come with me.” She took his arm, nodding at Buzz to watch everything and led Bobby to her office. “You can’t do that,” she said as she closed the door and turned to look at him. “Like hell I can’t. That man is a fucking douche who had that and many more like that, coming.” Jackie fought har
Bobby frowned as he listened to the car, quickly picking up on something not being right. He walked back over and knocked on her window, hoping she wouldn’t freak out. She let out a breath before she unlocked the car and opened the door. “Nothing coming on?” “No, nothing. No clicking, no lights, just nothing.” Bobby frowned as he thought that over. He hadn’t heard anything either but that didn’t always mean something. “Go ahead and lock your car and I’ll take you home.” “And what about tomorrow?” &
Bobby pulled up to the house and kicked the stand down before he turned off the bike and walked up to the front door. But he paused as he saw the door to the neighbors open and the woman watching him. He offered her a smile and a wave which she rolled her eyes at and then closed the door. Bobby shook his head as he knocked on Jackie’s door, putting his hands in his pockets as he waited. “Hey Bobby,” Dylan said, opening the door for him to come in. “Mom is just putting on her make up or something.” “Thanks little man,” Bobby said, walking into the house and looked around. “So, I have to change my schedule around a bit and I have next Monday off, would you, your mom and your sister want to go that pizza joint that has the big arcade?”
Jackie sat on her bed, her mind replaying the scene with Tony. She was grateful he didn’t say anything and that he came back to the bar because she was really questioning if he would. But she hated the way he kept glaring at her the whole night. It wasn’t like their date tanked because of her, she hadn’t done anything that was all on him. He had it in his mind that she was like all the 20 something year olds he dated, but she wasn’t and she had tried to tell him that. Not that she wasn’t grateful for the way the date ended because she really got to see how right and okay things would be with Bobby; which led her to sitting on her bed, a bag beside her with a few things packed. There was no doubt in her mind what was going to happen this weekend, actually she was looking forward to it; was craving it. Bobby’s kisses did quite the number on her and her
“Damn, you weren’t lying when you said game nights are insane.” Jackie locked the back door after dumping the bucket of cleaning water. “Yeah, we aren’t too far south of LA so we get all the major games, and a lot of fans. I’m not the only place that has the games but it sure feels like it when game nights roll around.” Jackie turned the lights off and then walked up the stairs, both tired and nervous. There wasn’t anyone in her past that she had slept with that wasn’t around her age. Bobby opened the door to his place and motioned for her to go in first. She smiled her thanks as she walked in and he flipped on the lights. “I put your stuff in the room whenever you are ready for bed. I’m still a little wound up so I’m going to have some water and
He watched her as his fingers pulled the thong aside; not even having the patience to remove them, then threw her leg over his shoulder and quickly buried his tongue in her hot center. And fuck did he love that. She was so wet for him and he was going to enjoy this, enjoy everything that she was offering. And he loved that she was open to him because even ladies his age weren’t like that. Jackie didn’t see it, but there was an air that she carried that other ladies didn’t have. She still had confidence and her smile was killer and those were points that held more attraction for him then he would have thought. Yes, she was beautiful, but her maturity was just as attractive as her body and all wrapped up in this nice little package that he was devouring as if it was the last meal he was going to get. And at this rate, he sure didn’t want to ever stop.
He looked into those eyes, his fingers running over her cheek and he wanted to answer all the questions he saw in there, but there was no way he could. And he was certain that even though he saw it, she wasn’t laying voice to them so she didn’t want the answers. He gave her a soft kiss and then rolled out of bed and walked into the bathroom, dumping the condom and then getting a warm cloth for her and cleaning her up. Once he was done and had the rag in the dirty pile, he slipped her shoes off and then helped her into bed. “I take it you don’t do this.” He rolled on his side and looked at her. “What? Cleaning off a woman and then making sure she is comfortable? Yeah, that’s for sure something that is not my norm. I’m more of a let them do it and t
Jackie let out a sigh as she cleaned the last little bit of the floors and shook her head. She loved her job, loved her bar, but damn did she hate how the crowd got to be at times, and the mess they made. “You okay?” Jackie turned her head and smiled as Bobby walked up behind her. Yeah, she was quite alright. Her body was sore in all the right spots and actually demanding more. “I’m good, just amazed how crazy this crowd can be and the mess they can cause.” “Even the best patrons can make a mess, I’ve learned that over the years.” Jackie watched as he grabbed some bags and then filled up the garbage bins again. And she had to smile, because even doin
“Jackie, you’ve made bail, you’re free to go.” Jackie nodded at the guard as he opened the jail cell door and let her walk out. “How about we don’t use the bat next time?” he told her and she shrugged. “Hey, officer, I don’t take kindly to having someone grab my ass,” Jackie told him as she walked out, she didn’t add though, that her temper was at the shortest it’s been as well. She swallowed hard as she saw the man who was waiting at the desk, his arms crossed. “You’re a violent woman, Jackie.” “And yet, Greg, you still want to piss me off, even more so now with my temper on such short fuses.” “Yeah, about that, Jackie.” He held up open the car door for her and she raised a brow. The last person she wanted to call was Greg to come help her, but Buzz was working, as was Justin, and she just had no one else she could call. “What about it, Greg?” “Anyone with half a brain can see that you’re not h
Jackie pulled the napkin off the table and put it over her lap as Bobby brought the plates out. He hadn’t cooked much for her, a meal or two here or there, but from that she had caught on was that he was a pretty decent cook. Not that Jackie should be surprised by that. Though she might have babied him some, Cat did raise a strong and confident man, one who knew how to live on his own. “It looks good, Bobby,” Cat said, eyeing the Fettuccine Alfredo. “Thanks, someone gave me a really good recipe and I’m glad I’m finally able to put it to good use,” he told her, tossing a wink at Jackie, which made her duck her head. The movement, however, didn’t go unnoticed by Cat. “You know, Jackie,” Cat started as she took a piece of bread and dunked it in her sauce, “I know my Bobby was a player, I didn’t like it, but what could I say, you know? So it’s really nice to see him settle down with a woman like you. Someone who has her head on
Val moaned as she reached her hands down to run through Vinny’s hair, tugging on the strands as he kissed his way over her legs and straight to her center. How the hell she was wet for him again after they had another three rounds the night before was a mystery to her. But she was and his tongue was tasting everything she had to offer. Had someone told her she would be an insatiable lover with her husband, she would have laughed. Not at the thought of having sex, but of being in the need constantly. Or maybe it was just Vinny that did that to her. “Vinny,” she whimpered as she felt his tongue slide into her and her legs feel open even more. She looked down at him as he looked up at her and she saw the devil playing there. “What?” he asked as his tongue moved to her clit. He rolled his tongue around it before he pulled it into his mouth and her hips jerked up. He chuckled as he slipped two fingers into her and curled them upwards. “Oh fucking hell,
Jackie sat down on the bench at the park, her head tipped back to enjoy the sun. It was a wonderful afternoon and she almost didn’t want to go to work tonight. In fact, she wished she had brought the kids to the park rather than come alone to meet him, but Greg had messaged her and asked to talk, just like he said he would at the ice cream place. Against her better judgment, of course, she agreed to do it. She was hoping he was coming to apologize about his behavior with his kids, although she knew that was wishful thinking on her part. Her eyes scanned the clouds, smiling as she picked out random shapes. She remembered when she would do that when the kids were younger and how they always laughed with glee. She shook her head to clear it and turned as she heard the approaching footsteps. Greg walked up to her, smiling slightly. “Hey, Jackie.” He sat down on the picnic table next to her and she lifted a brow. “Hey, Greg.” “Remember when Sam was just a few years old and we would com
Jackie glanced tapped her nails on the table outside as she watched the road, her stomach turning inside out. She trusted the man with her babies, she did, but her kids on a bike scared the crap out of her. And Jackie had been on it with Bobby, knew that he was a damn good driver. But, still, she couldn’t help but wonder if she should have said no when Dylan pleaded with her to ride. “Mom?” Jackie turned her head to look at her daughter, her brows raised. “It will be okay, you don’t need to worry.” Jackie knew that, she did, she just couldn’t help it. For the last two weeks, things had been good between her and Bobby, and the kids. He had come over a couple of nights for dinner, they had gone over to his house one night to play games and chill. He was making an effort to actually bond with them, and it was sweet. And they both decided that an ice cream treat was another good way to bond. Jackie had Sam with her and Bobby had offered to pick up Dylan. And that
He watched her, watched as she cleaned up her area, watched as she leaned over to talk to Justin and placed her hand on his arm, and he watched as she walked over to a table and sat down with the guy, full of smiles. He hated it and he was fighting hard not to scream or punch someone. And he knew, fucking hell did he know, this was on his head. She wasn’t dumb; she could probably have sensed he was pulling away, even if it wasn’t bad or a lot, and even if he didn’t mean to. Because he really wasn’t, he just needed a moment to clear his head, to work things through, not end what they had. He tapped his fingers on the bar as he watched them. He knew he wasn’t being rational, but then he had watched her all night, and with all the flirting, the smiles she gave out, and all the men checking her out, he was past rational. Just because he called her girlfriend didn’t mean he had the right to own her, he knew that. But hell, he was struggling watching her be th
Jackie walked out of the office and opened the front door for Justin, smiling at him as he walked in. She returned it, but he was checking something on his phone and she shook her head at him. Knowing him, he was probably checking his grade on some assignment or test. He walked to the bar and put his stuff away before turning to look at her, and he stopped in his tracks. “Damn Jackie, you really have some amazing legs, do you know that?” She glanced down at them and then shrugged. “She does, I rather enjoy looking at them.” She glanced over her shoulder at Bobby as he walked up behind her and smiled. She gave him a small one in return. She wasn’t sure what was going on, but over the last two days, she had called him; once when she was at the beach with the kids and the second time was at night when she couldn’t sleep and she knew he was getting off. Both times were good calls, but she felt he wasn’t himself and that had her worried. “Well, they go
“Are you sure you don’t want to stay?” Jackie asked as she watched him grab his bag once they got back to her place. He didn’t want to leave, but he was more than unsettled and he needed to think. The time with the kids had been great, he did enjoy them, he really did, but Dylan’s comment really left him a little flustered. “Yeah, I don’t want to intrude on your time with them, you know that.” He paused as he looked at her; that was the truth too. He didn’t want to take away from those kids, and they just had a shit blow handed to them earlier in the day. Right now, they needed the comfort of their mom and not a stranger, even if they were comfortable with him. “That’s rather admirable of you,” she teased him and he smiled. “I’ll call you later,” she said and he nodded. “I’m looking forward to it.” He gave her a kiss along with a wink before he walked out, the kids fast asleep. He climbed on his bike and waved at her as she stood
Jackie glanced at Bobby, her hand rubbing his back. They both knew exactly what the call was over, a rather sad fact and one she couldn’t ignore. She turned around and answered the phone while his arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her back to his chest. She couldn’t fight the smile, even as she hit the green icon and brought the phone to her ear. “Yes, Greg?” she mumbled, rubbing her eyes with her free hand. “Are you awake?” “I wasn’t since it was a late night at the bar but your call woke me up. What can I do for you?” “We have a problem.” Those words, how she hated them; she had heard them countless times before. Her smile vanished and she sat up, not meaning to shove the arm away but she couldn’t think when he was holding her. “What do you mean, WE have a problem? We don’t have a problem, however, you do it sounds like?” “Do you have to be that way?” he grumbled and she grinned.
