I just looked away for a second and my mate was already stolen.

I looked at the flower shop and sighed. The moment she appeared; Lia was already enthusiastically taken by her co-workers. Although she looked surprised, Lia’s eyes were gentle as she looked at the two women and that young teenage boy who grabbed her.

With my aura, I could feel them inside the shop. And when I heard their conversation and Lia’s pretend exasperated voice, a smile appeared on my lips.

‘She really loves this place,’ I thought as my eyes roamed at the crowded area.

‘I will spare no effort in protecting it.’ A cold glint appeared in my eyes as I felt the unusual movements all around the town. ‘It seems like they long penetrated this area,’ I thought to myself. ‘These runts… they are really prepared.’

Lia and I did not hide our presence when we arrived in town. However, although I could feel their stares every now and then, the runts did not move much and pretended we were not here.
