Chloe's POV
I can't believe what happened. My first high school party in a new country and I managed to make a fool out of myself. This is why I shouldn't be allowed to drink alcohol. I'm shit at holding my liquor and I do stupid shit when I get drunk.
But the worse part of it all, is not being able to remember the shit I'd done.
I should consider myself lucky since he's the one who found me. I could've ended up in a worse situation. Which reminds me, I should probably thank him for last night.
I took my time looking at the pictures that's put on display in their living room while I waited for Mason.
I felt my phone vibrate with Mum's name flashing on the screen. I forgot to check my phone earlier because of the embarrassment I was faced with and the consequences of alcohol.
"Hello?" I hesitantly answered.
"Thank god you answered! I've been calling you since last night. Where are you? Are you okay?" she asked, concern evident in her tone.
"I'm fine. I stayed at a friend's house last night. I had one to many drinks and I wasn't able to call you." I informed her. "Sorry."
"It's okay, I'm just glad you're safe. Where are you now?"
"Still at my friend's house. I'll go straight home after school, okay?"
"Okay... but Chloe, pull that stunt again and that'll be last of it. Got it?" she said; her voice may sound sweet but I didn't miss the warning behind.
"Yeah Mum."
"Okay. See you later sweetie."
"Bye." My parents are usually pretty when it came to parties. As long as I inform them about my where abouts and who I'm with, they're cool with it.
I continued to look at the pictures on display and what caught my attention was a picture of him and a woman; I picked it up. I might still be a bit hangover but the woman in the picture looked really familiar. I feel like I've seen her somewhere.
I heard footsteps going down the stairs and turned to see a well dressed Mason.
"Is this your mum?" I inquired.
"Yeah..."
"She's really pretty." I told him.
"She's dead." he said. I was taken aback by the response he gave.
I wasn't expecting that.
"I'm sorry." I said.
He ignored me.
"Let's go." I followed him out.
*******
"Where did you go last night? When it was time to leave we couldn't find you anywhere, I left you like a bunch of messages." Andy told me.
I took my usual seat in health which was in front of her.
Andy was worried the whole night and said she felt guilty because she was the one who convinced me to go to the party, she also said she felt responsible for me.
I kept telling her I'm fine and that she had nothing to worry about, but she insisted to know what happened to me last night.
So to ease her burden, I ended up telling her the story Mason told me this morning.
"I like you." she said. "Ever since we've met, there's never a dull moment with you."
"Thanks?"
"So, this proves the rumor's true huh?"
"What are you talking about? What rumor?"
"There's a rumor going around that said you slept with Mason last night, and you showing up to school wearing his shirt and getting out of his car proves them right." she said. Well, she's got a point.
"Technically it's true, but we just slept like sleep together and I don't even remember any it. All I know is I woke up in a stranger's bed this morning, and that stranger happened to be Mason." I answered.
"Whatever you say." she teased.
"It's true!" I argued.
"Uh-huh."
We were on our way to the cafeteria when we passed by a group of students; they whispered amongst themselves and looked at me.
So the drama begins; people, or rather students gossiping about my life and wanting to know every single detail of it just so they could judge me in the end. This is the reason why I wanted to keep a low profile.
Mason's POV
Rain poured out in the afternoon as I rushed my way out into the school parking lot. Practice ended a bit later than expected.
I was on my way home when I passed by a certain Blonde standing outside a Taco Bell, staring up into the sky; clutching a book in her hands.
By the way the rain is pouring, it's not going to stop for some time now so I stopped my car in front of her and rolled my window down.
"Hey Blondie! Need a ride?" I asked.
"Yeah." she smiled.
She quickly ran to the other side of the car as I opened the passenger door for her to get in.
"Thanks." she said.
"Twilight?" I gestured to the book in her hand.
"Yes."
"I didn't know you're into vampire stuff."
"Why?"
"You just don't seem the type."
"The type who reads? Or the type who likes vampire stuff?" she asked.
"Both." I answered.
"Well, what type do you think I am?" she curiously asked.
"A blonde badass chick." I answered.
She laughed.
"I have facts and experience to prove it. The day I met you, which was yesterday; you stomped my foot, punched me in the face and puked all over my baby. That leaves an impression don't you think?" I reasoned.
She shrugged.
"Are you always like that to every guy you meet?" I added.
"You are a special case."
"You mean popular and good looking."
"No, more like an over confident annoying guy." she smiled.
"Ouch." I placed a had on my chest. "You hurt my feelings Blondie."
The atmosphere between us somewhat felt awkward given the events that transpired within the last 24 hours.
Neither of us to talked.
So to ease this awkwardness around us, I connected my phone to the Bluetooth and played a song.
Blondie hummed to it. In my peripheral vision, I can see her scribbling down something on her notebook.
She then gave me a piece of paper with her address written on it.
She could've just told me, I don't see the reason why it had be written down.
Nonetheless, I let it slide. She must've had her reasons, I focused my attention back to driving.
"We're here." I announced.
"Thanks."
The next thing she did, caught me off guard. Like an assassin in the night, it was swift and precise.
She kissed me on the cheek.
I was able to catch a glimpse of her cheeks turning crimson before she got out of the car.
"I... uh... um... Bye!"
She bolted out of the car and ran to the front door.
A smile crept up on my face as I held the cheek she placed the kiss on.
Look at that, Blondie's a girl after all.
Chloe's POVI ran as fast as I could the minute I got out of his car and into the house. I quickly shut the door behind with no turning back. What did I just do? Why am I such a girl sometimes? Stupid!I crossed the small distance from the front door and into the stairs with urgency. Right now, I want to be locked in my room; contemplating my life decisions."Hello darling." Confusion flashed in my Mum's face when she took my appearance in. "Everything okay?""Yeah, everything's fine." I was out of breath."Is that? A boy's clothes?" she inquired."No." I blurted. "Whose then?""Andy's. I spent the night at her place." I lied. I ran a hand on my hair in a futile attempt to look a bit less disoriented."Cool shirt." I ignored her remark and continued onto my way upstairs. I'm afraid she might ask other questions if I stayed in that spot for a little longer.I went up straight to my room and changed.I sighed.I can finally breath.I laid comfortably on the bed as I tried to relax. Fi
Chloe POV"Get me water! I'm thirsty!" Mason yelled from the living room.I groaned. I thought Mason was going to continue to give me the silent treatment but much to my dismay, it was the opposite of it. Hours had gone by since we came home, he's holding me hostage in my own home. I couldn't even get out of it with the excuse of going to school, he wouldn't let me. He hasn't stopped talking since. He is really testing my patience. I know I have his bruised up picture on my phone I could easily use it to blackmail him but, with me being the person who punched him. I sort of felt guilty as well. So I decided to endure it for a while."Here." The water almost spilled when I placed it on the table with much force than needed to.Mason reached for it and drank."Doesn't your nose hurt when you talk?" I asked."What? You're suddenly concerned for me?""Do I look concerned?" I sarcastically asked."Figures.""What are you even doing here?" I asked. "Go home, take a rest there.""Don't wa
Chloe's POVSaturday. It's a day dedicated to myself.Saturday was a sacred day. A day where I'll sleep in, lock my self in room with good food to keep me company along with a good book or either a good show to watch. It's a day of relaxation. It's the one day in a week wherein I get to recharge my energy for the up coming week. And this Saturday was extra special.Since the day I injured his nose. Mason has spent every waking hour in our house, determined to bother and annoy me since he's got nothing better to do. He didn't really come to school since he doesn't want to answer questions that will rise if people see him with a gauze. What of grades?Who cares?I leisurely took my time getting out of bed and freshening up. I've decided to join my family for breakfast.I stopped midway down the stairs. My ears tingled by the sound of a familiar voice I know all too well mixed in with my family's.I cautiously but hastily made my way into the kitchen. My heart sank at the sight in from me
Chloe's POVI walked along the school hallways with head bowed down with earphones plugged in. Today's the day Mason goes back to school. I've been trying to avoid since this morning. I've had enough of him as it is.He kept telling people that the reason he was out for a long time was because he had a cold, I kn

Chloe's POVWhen will I ever learn my lesson? That is a question I've asked myself a hundred times whenever I wake up with a hung-over.
Mason's POVThe words James spoke to Blondie, kept ringing and in my head. I couldn't get it out. I tossed and turned for the thousandth time but I still couldn't sleep.Fuck.
And all I need is to be struck By your electric love. -Electric Love, Børns Chloe's POV I know I am hammered. I lost count of how many bottles, cups and different kinds of alcohol I drank tonight. I just downed whatever they handed to me and whatever I can get my hands on. If it wasn't for Mason's arm wrapped around my waist for support. I would've been faced down lying on the floor. This is the drunkest I've ever been in my entire life. I feel like I'm floating in cloud nine. I felt free.
Chloe's POVWeeks flew by fast and it wasn't long till graduation came. Everyone knew we got back together and our families couldn't be happier. Instantly, everything felt different. We spent the days together, going out... having fun, spending it with friends and family. There wasn't a day that goes by without him by my side. The auditorium was filled with applause when Jessica was called out. She was the school valedictorian, she stood proudly on stage as she gave her speech. It was a brief and inspirational speech, she earned another applause after.I couldn't help but feel emotional now that I'm standing here at the school auditorium, waiting in line to receive my diploma as I quietly observed my surroundings. It's crazy to think that a year had gone by already and we're about to close a chapter in our life and start anew.It wasn't that long ago when I was a new kid whose only wish was to make a friend to help me through hig
Chloe's POVChills ran down my spine as he whispered those words to me. He tightly gripped my hand as he guided us through the crowd of students. We made a quick stop at our table to grab my purse then made our way out."Wait," I stopped in my tracks."What?" he looked back at me."Shouldn't we say goodbye to our friends?" I asked."We could send them a message." he suggested."Yeah." I agreed."Come on, my love." He kissed the
Chloe's POV When Erica and I got inside, the place was already packed with students dressed glamorously like us. First thing we did was make our way to the photo booth and get our picture taken, something to remind us of tonight. After that, we put on our masks and went to look for our friends. The program for prom went smoothly just as Jessica planned, and all through out the night Erica and I kept drinking out of the Tequila she slipped in. At some point, she offered it to the other girls. Andy took a sip while Jessica refused, she wanted to be the responsible one tonight in case things get out of hand. It's been a fun and memorable night, the only thing that we are waiting out on is the announcement of the Prom King and Queen after that we're are free to go. "Hey," A voice greeted, I turned to my side to see a smiling Adam beside me. "Hi." I gave him a hug. He must've been taken aback by my actions because I fe
Chloe's POVI was taken aback with how lightly he threw that question around. Getting back together is a serious matter. We still have a fewthings we need to talk about before we get back together.I pulled my hand a way from him and looked him in the eyes.If this is some sick joke he's trying to pull off, it's not funny. He doesn't flinch one bit nor did he broke eye contact with me."Are you serious?" I questioned."Do I look like I'll joke about something like that?" He countered."I am serious," he added. "I do want us to get back together." He once again reached for my hand and intertwined it with his."So, what's it going to be?"I knew there was a possibility of us getting back together, but I didn't think the opportunity would present itself sooner.I'm not prepared for it.I always thought that if we were to get back t
Chloe's POVI haven't heard anything from Mason since then. After that day, he never made any attempts to approach me. I do see him everyday at school but we don't really interact with each other, it almost even seems like he's avoiding me.Every time I see him, the conversation I had with Adam crosses my mind. The more I think about it, the more I realize the truth behind Adam's words. I was too focused on what I was feeling at the moment that I forgot about the future, college is inevitable. Soon, we'll have to leave this place and continue on with life.Am I really satisfied with how things ended between us?Am I sure I won't have any regrets whatsoever? The perspective Adam presented me with offered new sets of questions in my head."Chloe? Are you listening?" Andy's voice pulled me out from my thoughts."Hmm?""See? I told you she wasn't paying attention." Erica chimed in.
Chloe's POVI didn't give him time to respond. I quickly turned around and walked away from him as fast as I could. How could he?After all this time? After all that he put me through, he had the nerve to show up at my workplace and pretend like everything's fine?He can't just show up out of nowhere and pretend like nothing ever happened. What kind of bullshit is that? What kind of torture is he trying to put me through?Wasn't breaking my heart into pieces enough? He just had to add salt to my already wounded ego.Seeing him up close and in person brought back the unpleasant feeling I thought I had successfully overc
But how am I supposed to love you when I don't love who I am?And how could I give you all of me when I'm only half a man?- Half a Man, Dean LewisMason's POVDroplets of water trickled down the windshield of my car as I drove down the familiar road on my way home. The sky had turned dark along with the change of weather. A soft music was playing on the radio.Something about the tonight's atmosphere felt calming.I hummed along to the music playing as I continued to drive around.Moments like this is when I miss Blondie the most. If she were here, she would probably be sitting on the passenger seat beside me; singing at the top of her lungs even if she doesn't get the words right.Weeks had already gone by since I broke things off between us, and not a day passes by without her crossing my mind. When our school won the finals, she was the first perso
Chloe's POVJessica was the first person I opened up to about what transpired that night. She is the human representation of my reality. She is the mark of my first attempt at moving on.I admit, a minute ago I was annoyed at her for disturbing my peace yet her I am now, crying my eyes out to her as I tried my best to tell her in detail what happened between Mason and I.I tried my hardest to utter words in between sobs. To her it might be just a story of how I got my heart broken by her boyfriend's best friend, but to me it was a different matter. It wasn't just about my heart being broken, it was also the beginning of the end.Every word that left my mouth pierced through my soul, I wasn't just telling the story to Jessica. I was also telling it to myself, a reminder to
