CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE: Staying and Spying

The sun hangs low in the sky, casting a pale glow over the secluded road where Hugh's car is parked. Inside, the air is thick with the heat of passion as me and Hugh, breathless and entangled, finally separate from each other's n.aked embrace in the backseat.
