Ela was stunned, not knowing how she would react. Her eyes went blank, but it didn't last long. Her lips curled slightly, and tried to stop herself from laughing. She swear, she did! But that was just so funny for her. Of all the jokes she heard from Mijo, that would be the most hilarious one! Or maybe that was the only funny thing she heard from him ever since he spoke after they first met.
Calming herself from laughing so hard, she tried to crack a joke. "Seriously, what are you? A dog with a twist?" Unfortunately, none of them got a sense of humor, as she thought, that not even one person in the living room bothered to move a muscle and let out a laugh. Rolling her eyes, she sat again with her legs crossed. "Fine, drop your fiction."
That seemed to caught the other's interest. All eyes were on Mijo, but he remained his unusual expressionless face, staring at the carpet. "I have nothing to tell. I just found myself unable to smell foods, and everything. I could only smell words. It stinks when a person lies," he hastily said which made disappointment to drew on Flute's face. He's likely to expect Mijo to say more. He seemed to share the same disappointment with Ela.
"Ain't sensible at all," Ela commented. She stood up and was about to leave when Black stopped her.
"Where's your necklace?"
She touched her neck and failed to feel her necklace. Turning her head to Black, she raised her left brow. "I lost it, why do you care?"
Instead of responding, he looked straight on her eyes. "You have a mosquito bite on your neck's left side."
She gulped and covered it with her right hand quickly.
"You had your hands manicured. You seem to have sleepless nights because of your dark circles, you have a small cut on your wrist," he continued.
Ela's eyes narrowed as she stared at Black. She tried to guess what's the point of him saying those. It could be that he has a photographic memory. But that's quite usual nowadays, she thought, remembering a tutorial on how to acquire the skill she had seen back then while browsing on Twitter. She also thought that it could be some sort of advanced eyesight, seeing small details easily. On the other hand, judging by Era and Mijo's imagined abilities, it should be like having predictions. "Right, he will tell me that the first time he saw me here, he already saw what will I be today. That would be a laugh, if ever," she concluded, brushing away the thought that it doesn't fit at all. To confirm her thoughts, she raised her left brow and asked, "So what?"
"You don't have those when we first met a week ago."
"And then?"
"Aish! I have a photographic memory! Why don't you just believe that we're telling the truth?" He face-palmed and frowned.
She winced. "I don't believe any of you and dear, anyone can have that photographic crap." Looking so done with all the craps she heard today, she shouted out of frustration. "Gosh!" She took a deep breath to calm herself. "I don't know what's happening to you guys, but I think all of you should consult a psychiatrist."
"Crazy people, and their imagination!" she shouted when she reached the door and slammed it hard. She stayed outside, leaning on the door. Her heart is breathing so fast. Her knuckles turned white as she clenched her fist. Worry and fear flashed on her face. "It can't be," she whispered under her breath.
SUMMER is over which indicates the opening of classes. Students filled the university. June and July seemed to be enjoyed by everyone with their joyful faces beaming at each other. Couples walking with their intertwined hands and group of friends talking about how amazing their vacation became. Ela, on the other hand, wore a smug look on her face. Walking beside her is her boyfriend who can't help smiling seeing how cute she is for him with that face. Ela haven't forgotten about what happened two weeks ago, and the fact that it affected her relationship with her twin makes it more frustrating! They live in the same house, but it seems like they don't. Well, it's kind of her fault that she called Era names because the latter still claims that she got some supernatural powers. They end up ignoring each other's existence for the rest of the summer. She had thought of apologizing, but she also insists that Era should drop her claims for her to say sorry.
"Aw!" she shrieked when Win pinched her left cheek. She slapped his hand and glared at him while massaging her cheek.
"It's too early to frown," Win said, shaking his head lightly with a small smile.
It made Ela frown more. "It's Era! This is the first time that we didn't go to school with her on our first day!"
Win put his arm around her shoulder. "With your situation, I think that's normal."
Ela thought he has a point and didn't dare to argue more. She put her arm around his waist and together, they head straight to Architecture Building.
First day of classes usually have the students introducing themselves to each other. Some professors prefer to just check the master list and do a roll call, while some seemed to be on a rush that they already discussed an introduction to their chosen courses and upcoming lesson. Almost half of the day almost went well for Ela, still not feeling the pressure of finally being a college student. She has an hour of vacant time, and as hungry as she is, not taking a breakfast because of her frustration, she went to the cafeteria with Win. Along the way, she has been ranting about how irritating Ms. Wehima, their professor in their major subject is.
"You know what, if only it isn't a major subject, I'll surely drop it!" she whined.
Good thing is that Win got used to her attitude. If it's another person, for sure she will gain a bad impression. To her luck, Win shares the same vibe with her. He laughed hearing her complaints. "But yeah, her eyebrows were telling me that she's kinda strict," he agreed.
It made Ela's eyebrows to stop from meeting. She laughed and said, "So true, it makes me think how did she became an Architecture teacher when she draws her eyebrow like a single line."
Their building is a bit far from the cafeteria. It was a long walk, that will surely be boring and tiring when you're alone. They were able to talk about various things, or insult people who becomes their topic rather. Ela nearly forgot her frustration about her sister. If only they didn't reach the cafeteria entrance. Ela suddenly stopped when she caught sight of her sister with a guy on headphones. Her eyes narrowed at his familiar built.
"Fluan?" she muttered under her breath, not sure if she's seeing it right. A part of her says she's right after she knew that he'a Fil-Am whose family decided to migrate in Philippines last year.
Win followed what she's staring at. "Oh," he reacted when he saw Era, not minding the guy she's been with. He grabbed Ela's arms and approached Era. "Hi, Era! You didn't come with us this morning," he greeted while he sat beside Flute and Ela beside her twin.
"I had to join some people," Era explained and shot a sideway glance at her sister who stared at Flute.
There was an awkward silence until Win stood up and insisted to buy foods for them.
"Someone already ordered for us," Era said and smiled. Win just nodded and left them, heading to the counter.
Ela cleared her throat. She was still suprised to see Flute with her sister. For sure, he studies in their university now and she has no complaints with that. It's out of her concerns, anyway, and they're living in the same village now. "So you're here to study," she said while still staring at Flute, who now put the headphone on his nape and stared back. She heard her sister whispered, "Obviously," exactly the moment Black approached them, carrying two trays of food over both of his hands. He instantly flashed a smile when Ela looked at him. The latter just raised her left eyebrow and threw him a suspicious look while he put the trays down on the table and took the seat infront of Ela.
"That's my boyfriend's seat," Ela muttered before he can even sit. He silently moved to the seat on Flute's right side. Ela sat properly and crossed her legs. "You're planning something," she said. She was sure of it when Black appeared. He was supposed to go back to Korea a week before classes started here. Ela thought they're gonna deny it, but Black just smiled at her.
"What is it that we're planning?" Black asked cheerfully, not minding how serious Ela is.
"I'm certain it's about those abilities you keep on insisting to have."
With her words, Black and Flute looked at each other and flashed a victorious smile as if they just confirmed something.
"What made you think it's about that? I thought you don't believe that bullshit story 'we just made up'?" Black asked, grinning as he emphasized the last four words.
Ela was taken aback. She was about to say something when Win finally came back. Silence covered them again as they started eating.
Flute unconsciously touched his left ear. His forehead creased as he focused staring at his friends' left chest one by one. When he reached Win, his stare gone longer which the latter noticed. Win cleared his throat that made him snap back to reality. Win gave him an awkward smile and asked, "Anything wrong, bro?"
It caught the rest's attention. Flute closed his eyes and blinked many times. "Nothing," he plainly said and turned to his food while still shooting sideway glances at Win.

It's been a week since school has started. Unlike before that Ela rants about her relationship with her sister every single time, she seemed to care less about it now. They continued to be in non-speaking terms. Their house became more silent with their dad's absence and the fact that Era seemed to spend her time more at the headquarters they found almost a month ago. Of course, there are still times when Ela wants to lower down her pride, but there are also things that stop her. Something she couldn't let to happen although it looked unstoppable. If she apologizes, it would make Era think she already believes her. But it isn't that way because she would still insist that Era needs a psychiatrist. She has to do everything just to make her sister believe that she don't have what she thinks is a supernatural ability.Ela braced herself as the wind blew hard. How fool of her to stay at their house's rooftop night time without even bringing a jacket. She's gazing at the starry sky when Wi
Ela started to see series of events through Black's eyes. Others might see it white, but in her eyes, it was like a mirror of memories. He also heard Black's voice telling her to stay calm and just watch."Is she the only one among us who didn't experience weird changes?" Flute asked, referring to Ela.It was the day when everything started to change."Camouflage. I think that's my ability." Yuri shared and didn't dare to say more. Instead, she asked Flute. "What about you?" "I can hear heartbeats."The memory suddenly became a smoke as a new one was shown. They are still seated on the sofa, but it wasn't the same day as a while ago because of their clothes, she supposed."We failed to find informations about that mysterious guy on Mijo's birthday," Era disappointedly informed them as she threw herself on the sofa.Myst
They fell silent. Only Yuri had the urge to speak with a strange soft voice."How can we find him? Or them?" she asked. Keeper turned to her and there's an unusual shine shown on his eyes.He gave her an apologetic look as he answered. "I honestly have no idea. But I trust you. The six of you. You're gifted with abilities and you have Geom-Eun whose intellectual capacity is beyond normal. Fluan Teodore who understands everything."Black and Flute were overwhelmed being mentioned. The twins, Mijo and Yuri waited for more of his words, expecting a compliment.Keeper winced. "And yeah. Your... your abilities as I was saying," he said, avoiding the four's disappointed gazes.I see, there's nothing special with us disregarding the abilities, Ela thought at the back of her mind and rolled her eyes. Keeper seemed to caught sight of it. He chuckled and murmured, "Angelus...
Win carried Ela downstairs to tuck her into bed. She fell asleep, crying on his chest surrounded by his embrace. He fixed her comforter and sat beside her. He smiled seeing her at peace. He gently stroked her hair."I badly wanted to tell you that you're the reason why my heart beats, but..." His voice trailed off. He let out a chuckle and touched his left chest using his free hand. "But this already stopped beating. I just hope... I hope I was able to make you feel how much I love you," he said with a sad smile."Faye Elanise... my heart might have stopped beating, but it never stopped loving you.""It's you. It would always be you... my star."He kissed her forehead and stood up. He headed to the door and switched the light off before leaving.FOUR o'clock in the morning and Win is finally ready to visit Mount Maiking. He snatched the map he found inside Ela's bag last night. His trip went well, tho
ERA found her sister in the living room watching on the television while eating her boel of cereal. Ela looked like she just woke up. Her blonde hair is a bit messy. She quickly turned her gaze to Era who went near and sat beside her. "Uh, N'Faye?"Ela stared at her which made her wince. "I am with some acquaintance," she awkwardly said before shouting at the door. "Hey, uglies! Come inside!"Black and Mijo were still debating who would enter first so Yuri had to forcefully push them inside. Flute and Yuri entered after them. They roamed their eyes around the living room, their mouths left in awe. The house isn't a mansion, but is large enough knowing only 3 people live there. Brown, White, and Black were the only colors you could see, and their portraits weren't an exemption. They were given vintage feels."It's nice here. Classic," Mijo commented. "I'M not sure if he'll agree with this, so start calling all the saints you know," she said with a serious face. They were inside Ela's room in her study corner to prepare some documents. Mijo's tapping his fingertips on Ela's table beside her bed as he watched Black preparing their documents and Ela with Flute, setting up her laptop for the video call later. He then rested his chin above both of his palm and frowned at them, getting bored. "Why do we have to do this?" he asked.Era heaved a sigh and turned her phone off. "Shia! How many times do we have to tell you?" she asked and shook her head lightly."We're his children and we're both ladies. He's protective to us. I swear, we have to do this. We've done this before. "THE Masked?"Everyone is staring at Black, wearing puzzled looks. They've been thinking if he's near to totally losing his mind that he's blabbering things out of their topic so much. It didn't brush his smile off though. He let out a chuckle, darting Ela a look."Do you know the Four Horsemen?""Sounds familiar," she answered. She squinted her almond shaped eyes as she tried to remember where that name came from. Her face brightened. Right! She remembered watching it on YouTube just two years ago. "The group of illusionists on the 2013 movie, Now You See Me?" she said, more like becoming a question, sounding unsure. She cannot trust her memory. It sometimes fail her. But no, that movie was a masterpiece! She can't forget it! They were peacefully eating the breakfast Ela cooked. Almost everyone seemed to have a really good mood after getting enough sleep. The sound of the utensils clashing at each other could be heard in the dining.Mijo shoved his last strip of bacon and a spoonful of rice into his mouth. "Oy!" he suddenly yelled, making them flinch. The twins eyed him sharply. He was taken aback, wondering if he did something wrong.Ela rolled her eyes. "Don't you know that it isn't nice to talk when your mouth is full? Manners please," she said shooking her head lightly."Chai! If Dad was here, he'll surely kick you out," Era added.Mijo raised both of his hands in defeat as he swallowed his food. He drank his water and cleared his throat. "I just wanna say that we won't sleep here tonight. We'll go home and get some clothes," he said, pointing at himself, Black and Yuri.Black nodded. "REMEMBER to hit them at the back of their heads, Mijo and Ela. Flute and Yuri, keep your senses alert in getting rid of the bodies."Black glanced at the unconscious bodies of the security personnels assigned here in the control room where the monitors connected to the CCTV cameras around the area where located. They're not yet dead, so it isn't really a big deal, but he isn't sure when will this last. They can't be awaken. Not now that Era is still busy taking care of the manager and the big people behind this concert. He returned his gaze at the monitors and touched his earpiece connected to their phones which are in call as of the moment."Yuri, 8 o'clock from from your standing point," he informed, still watching the footage where he saw Yuri simply looked behind, at her left side, catching a sight of an armed personnel. They were in one of the hallways at the backstage. Yuri walked towards the wall on her left and slowly, she disappe
"GOSH! I still can't believe we had to skip classes just for this!"They've been wanting to cover their ears, getting tired of Ela's never-ending rants since yesterday. They were forced to skip classes for their trip into Korea, aiming to fulfill everything Black planned.Ela swayed her blonde long wavy hair frustratedly. "That Korean is so unfair!" she almost shouted, remembering Black's smile while watching them leave their own house. He insisted to stay because he was already crossed out in the list of choices who would be disguising. He also used his scholarship at their school, saying he can't skip classes. Ela obviously disagreed with that, telling him if he think they're still in high school where they can freely skip classes without the thought of failing. She's grade conscious even if it doesn't look like it. Another thing is she won't be seeing her boyfriend! She's worried! Not because she's thinking he would find another girl, b
"Crashing into a concert isn't easy, do you know that?"They were gathered inside the nipa hut located at the Garcia's house rooftop. Finally having a free time to settle their plans on getting people's attention through their abilities. Wearing serious faces... except Era who smiled widely, facing her phone as usual, saying she couldn't miss any of her free hours without maths so she had to finish the series she's been watching and Mijo who seemed to be waiting for a time where he could drop another of his puns. The rest took this matter seriously. How could you not anyway when it's a bigtime K-Pop boy group's concert they will be messing with. Not to mention the security they'll be encountering and the staffs. With Black's question, everyone nodded, saying they knew how dangerous what they're going to do is. Black stared at each of them, sighing deeply, seeing Era and Mijo both grinning despite their serious auras. Era frowned when she f
