Third-Person POV

Icarus felt light magic pass through him, feeling its familiar hum deep in his bones. He'd be lying if he said he didn't miss that feeling, but being on the other side was easy. It was as simple as breathing. There was no need to worry about orders. No need to be scared of what a God may ask him to do. Icarus never had to worry about ridding the world of a whole town, of a whole species, just because they angered one of the many Gods.

He will stay here in this little gray area he found for himself. He'd make sure the Gods didn’t win, making this world finer without them. With Elara at his side, they could mold the planet into a better place for everyone. Or so he hoped. But when he felt that light, he knew he was one step further than before.
