Nova's P.O.V. I randomly started feeling strange for most of yesterday. I didn't like the feeling. It felt foreign, yet familiar at the same time. Andy’s P.O.V.My heart raced as I knew the moment Ares spoke about was quickly approaching. I searched the area, taking in the sight of the woods. The usual vibrancy of the plants and trees was absent, leaving me feeling slightly uneasy. The trees had a deep, charred hue to them, with bark crumbling at the slightest touch. Nova’s P.O.V. Andy gave chase to Ares, and I gave chase to her. We were both being stupid, separating ourselves from our group, just as the witch wants I am sure. I couldn’t help though, thinking of Andy in these dark woods alone. She is strong, but she’s not used to not having a light. She doesn’t have the same darkness inside her as I. I have grown used to the cold chill of darkness when I use my siren. It seeps into your bones and calls for more. It is greedy and cruel, feeding off your darkest impulses. Andy's P.O.V.5 months have passed now and Elara has grown right before our eyes at a very rapid rate. She now looks to be 4 rather than just 5 months. Ares’ P.O.V.Elara stirred in my arms as she situated herself. My heart felt full with her in my arms. In a matter of seconds this child had me wrapped around her finger. Augustus' P.O.V. Ares traveled us all back to the center of the maze, where just an hour before we had been having fun. That was the longest and most intense hour of my life. Andy's P.O.V. My worst nightmare played before me. Ares had been wrapped in dark smoke and pulled away from us before my eyes. I tried to reach for him, but found myself grabbing air. He was gone. I spun around seeing the same horrified expression on everyone's face. "We have to go!" I snapped everyone out of their shock. "I can travel us there now. I've been practicing with Umbra and we can use the darkness better," Jesse said, answering the question of how we would get there without anyone having to ask. "Then let's go," Auggie said, looking the most determined I had ever seen him. I felt the beast inside me stir as anger coursed through me. She could be hurting him this very instant.
