10: Answers

Ethan took out his notes as he walked in the hallway. His questions were already there in his notes and his mind was running like some engine, trying to found answers.

"Hey E-Town!" A loud voice from distance caught his attention he turned around to see Gaby. She looked as pretty as she's always been in her khakis skirt.

Ethan looked around gripping his book tightly, his eyes searching for any sight of Nathan.

"You looked tensed, are you okay?" Gaby stopped in front of him feeling his forehead, again the feeling of a strangers hand made goosebumps all over his body.

"No fever."

"I-i was j-just thinking." He blurted flipping the pages of his note book as he walked ahead.

"Thinking?" She raised a brow deciding to shrug it.

"Going to lunch?" She asked after a moment of silence.

"I-i'm not hungry, I gotta make a research." He said, his voice was so childlike to her. She couldn't help but grin, it sounded all different and new to her, his voice was purely innocent and soothing.

"You only eat when you're hungry?" She raised a brow while staring at his face.

"Y-yeah. And I still have my research to finish."

"Are you trying to say you never had time to eat, like even back in the human world?"

Ethan shrugged, "I had violin and piano lessons, I had other lessons too after school, and in the weekends. So.." He trailed off.

"Why so much? Did you like doing those annoying lessons? Or were they imposed on you?"

"Yeah, the made me happy, feeling exhausted knowing I had accomplished something made me feel on top of the world." He grinned at the memories of long nights just cause of some maths and drowsy morning from how much he had worked. But at the end, he loved it cause he had used his time wisely.

"Wow. You love torturing yourself, to be honest I can't stand a day without my six hours sleep." She said.

"Oh, I sleep three to four hours if I don't have much to do."

"You know how to play music? You'll play some for me some day." She said, he nodded hesitantly.

"What are your researches about, I'll like to help for once. I'm not passionate about science but I'll try not to fall asleep." She laughed.

Ethan found himself comfortable around her, too comfortable. It had never happened to him before, he only get comfortable around his really family the others were pure strangers or maybe he was scared to be hurt by them.

When he realised he was getting too close to her despite Nathan's warnings he cringed.

"I'm like very hungry!" She clutched to her stomach with her head tilted up. "I need food! I'm a wolf and my wolf burn like a hell lot of energy! If you need answers on scientific researches I'll suggest you go to our Lota, Rosa, she is damn good at that, as for me I gotta grab all the food in the lunch room!" She exclaimed before running off.

Ethan made his way out of the school building. He could recall the way to the clinic, it wasn't too hard.

When he'd stepped in, Rosa was speaking to another girl about one of the many patients.

"Hi Ethan!" She greeted when she had seen the younger boy.

"Hey." Ethan responded feeling nervous.

"I thought you would never come to see me, what's the matter? You broke a toe? Or an arm?" she asked.

"Wow, he is more cuter than Nathan." The red haired girl said, devouring him with her red eyes.

Ethan could feel himself shaking and turn bright red as she scrutinized him with a big smile. He felt naked.

"Stop Olivia, you're making him uncomfortable." Rosa scolded, earning a groan from the younger girl.

"Fine." She walked out brushing shoulder with Ethan winking at him in the process.

"So what brought you here?" Rosa asked in a friendly tone.

Ethan walked in. "Uh, I wanted to know more, um, about this world." He said his tone ever so low.

"Cool." She placed a hand on his back causing him to winced which she noticed.

"Did I hurt you? Are you feeling pain at your back?" She blurted quickly taking her hand off.

"N-no, I just have a s-sensitive skin." He quaked.

"Oh, okay. Sorry." She said.

He only nodded as he pulled out his note. "So I was making some researches on some plant I saw in the woods yesterday-" he started but was cut off by Rosa.

"WOODS! You went there all alone? Gosh!" She half yelled making him jumped.

"I-i was just c-curious, i-i d-didn't mean to break a rule." He stuttered, feeling his heart pound faster as his eyes wondered around the room.

"Chill, I didn't mean to scare you." She placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Your heart is racing, gee!" she laughed. "Sorry, if I scared you, I just wanted to say that the woods is not safe. There are too many dangerous wild beast. Or you could get hurt by some rogues."

"O-oh, okay." He said.

"So? Wanna know about this world huh?" She raised an amused brow.

"Are we in another universe? Very far from my universe?"

"Nah we're still in your universe." She said while shaking her head with a smug grin.

"But how? I can't see any information about earth, is like it doesn't exist! And the plants here are all weird, everything! Including the squirrels! And the books! It confuses me."

"I'll explain everything from the beginning." Rosa said moving Ethan to a sit and forcing him down. She pulled her white board like a lecturer. "Get ready to be flabbergasted." She said with a lot of passion in her voice that Ethan became so curious about hearing the story.

"There are many realms in this universe. The human realm, the spirit realm, and the mythic realm. These are the ones well known and studied.

You know the human realm, and we both know ghost exist, and we the werewolves just like others myth creatures too! Each of us have our world, these world is know as a realm. And those realm were created with our universe." She paused to stare at Ethan's wide emerald eyes of pure curiosity.

"Each of the realms have a portal almost inaccessible, but most creatures of the realm ended up unlocking it and moving to other realms. Like human world and the myth world. When the humans discovered we were beast they hunted us down till we returned to our realm, having mated with their daughters and sons, creatures like us were created and the populate your world till today. Or maybe just by a bite or scratch. Those are fake, the real mythical creatures are right in this realm!

You must be wondering about the other portals and the other creatures huh?"

Ethan quickly nodded as he took note.

"Inside the mythic realm we don't have planets but portals, these portals are a sort of planet or country, take it as you want. We have the griffon, fairies, dragons, mermaid and more! Oh but let's not forget one of the most cruel creatures, our enemy from birth the vampires! These creatures are hideous blood sucking monster, gifted with powers just as much as the Werewolves. They were the ones who started crossing the portals and mating with we werewolves, and they were the ones who started the war! And all because of them every single werewolf live dreading the prophecy."

"How is it that there is WiFi and internet with new technologies here?"  Ethan asked.

Rosa laughed, so hard that she was holding onto her stomach.

"Long ago our Deltas aka messengers, traveled to the human portal, and came back with important information about technologies and that was how some other packs in our portal tried it out and it worked, we are just as civilized as humans." She smiled at the end of her sentence proudly.

"Other packs?"

"Yeah, we're the largest and the strongest with vast territory, but other packs exist, friendly packs with their own alpha, just like the governments in human worlds. And oh let's not forget the rogues, stay away from them! They're violent and crave for blood, that's why no wolf have the right to own an alpha stone other than alphas. Before you ask, alpha stones are what make us cross over to human world, if one of the stones happen to fall on bad hands humans will be endangered. You don't want a group of hungry uncontrolled, violent, werewolves out there?"

"Oh." Ethan muttered remembering the incident in the woods. Flash is a betrayer.

"Satisfied?"

"What about the vampires?"

"Is a big NO! Those creatures are evil! With bad intentions! Malicious a-and!" Rosa yelled totally freaking out, when she realised how hysteric she was she came back to herself clearing her throat and brushing her strand.

"Don't go closer to one. Anyways is impossible for it to happen, they can't cross over to our portal, after the war  that lasted centuries the portals were tightly sealed just like the others. We can't go to them and the can't go to us but can go to the human world, I think only a few though."

"And the prophecy?" Ethan asked.

"I don't know, I never really paid attention to werewolf history in class, too busy with equations." She chuckled nervously.

"Nathan is the chosen one." A voice said from behind him, when he had looked back it was Gaby with packets of chips.

"Chosen one?" He asked.

"Hey if you want answers about the prophecy see Dian, by the way she was asking for you in her office. If you want I can lead you there. Brought some spicy chips for you." She held the sachet up.

"I don't eat spicy food, I'm kinda allergic." He said not making eye contact with her.

"Oh. I guess it makes one for me." She shrugged.

"Thanks for the explanations." He said to Rosa with a small smile which was returned with a huge grin.

Ethan and Gaby started for the hall to Dian's office as he told her about what Rosa had said, he didn't feel enthusiastic, rather he was scared, very scared of the vampires and more, it was like a pending doom to him.

"Hey omega!" He was cut off by someone shoving him on the wall very roughly. He looked at the black boy standing in front of him with his other friend. The were both strong and good looking.

"Let him be Rico!" Gaby half yelled, it sounded more like a warning.

"What Gab? He is an Omega, what are omegas for huh? Right now we are pissed and we need to let that out." Rico's friend said his eyes glowed, the were really enraged and Gabriella knew she couldn't stop them without a fight, she takes off her clothes leaving her in her light green suit. Her long sleeves top were light green, the green color stopped just under her breast, from down everything was black, including her back and the back of her sleeves. Just like every other suits design.

The boys equally shifted, their top color was gold combined with ash, and black down. Hunters.

Ethan watch in fear as they both shifted and attacked a now shifted Gaby in her red wolf, the fight was fierce and extremely frightening. Ethan watch helplessly, the two wolves were really hitting her hard. She never back down but two versus one was not a fair combat.

Rico flew across the hall to the lockers, landing with a loud Bang! However he bounced back up and launched with his claws, Gaby ducked just in time to send her own scratch which landed on Rico's chest making him yelp from the pain.

The fight was taking too long and Gaby was growing weaker. She darted to the second hall, the two other werewolves were caught up in the fight and ran after her. They caught up with her and pinned her down.

Rico bite down on her arm, asking for submission. She let out a distressed howl loud enough to fill the hall. Stomping footsteps could be heard, and all the way till the end of the hall came a ferocious growl..
