Sharon woke up around the afternoon the next day. After she opened her eyes, she could smell the unique smell of disinfectant only a hospital would have.

She suddenly remembered that she was stabbed by a thug. Now, she felt that her wound was in excruciating pain.

“Ah, Miss Newton, you’re awake. I’ll call the doctor now.” The nurse quickly ran out after.

She did not have time to ask anything. She remembered that Simon was the one who brought her to the hospital. Why was he not here?
