“Where’s your car?”

“I asked Franky to drive it back just now,” he said as he opened the passenger seat and jumped in.

Sharon had to wonder if he knew she was coming here. Was all that about visiting his brother just an excuse?

He wanted her to treat him to a meal and even asked her to be his driver. Was he kidding? She had not even forgiven him yet, how dare he!

“Hurry up, get in.” The man even hastened her when she froze!

Sharon forced down her frustration and got into her car. She started the engine and hit the accelerator, driving down the road without saying a single word to him the entire time.

Simon sat in the passenger seat without an ounce of guilt. He did not say anything to her, either.

Some time after the beginning of the car ride, a phone ringtone broke the silence in the car.

It was Sharon’s phone, which she had put in the compartment next to her. The caller ID said Eugene Newton.

Both of them saw the name on the screen at the same time. Sharon’s heart leaped int
