Quincy glanced at Dayton, who had a dark expression on his face. How had she never realized before that he feared taking medicine?

“The doctor wouldn’t have prescribed any medicine to you if you didn’t need it. You’re injured and sick now. You must take your medicine,” she said gently as she coaxed him patiently.

Dayton looked at the gentle woman before him. Although he did not want to take so many pills, her gentle demeanor convinced him to do so.

“Will you feed me the pills every time?” He requested.

Quincy smiled and said, “Sure, as long as you’re willing to take the pills.”

She picked up the pills that the doctor had just prescribed him and said, “Come on and open your mouth. I’ll feed you.”

Dayton really did as she said. She placed the pills in his mouth one by one and held the cup of water by his lips. “Drink some water.”
