Chapter 1518

Rue’s emotions had calmed down a lot. Fern could resume working in the office.

After sending Rue to school, she prepared to head to the office. However, two bodyguards clad in black stopped her after she turned around.

“Miss Thompson, Old Master Newton would like to see you,” one of them told her.

Fern was stunned. The old master had finally come to look for her.

She wanted to see him as well. She wanted to ask him what his intentions were. Why was he holding a grudge against her?

She did not reject their offer. She got into their car and followed them to the Newton household.

The old master was seated on a chair in the garden of the Newton household. There was a pot of freshly-brewed tea on the marble table beside him.

When the bodyguards brought Fern in, the old master was sipping on his cup of tea.

“Old Master, Miss Thompson is here,” Fiona told him.

Quinn did not turn around to look at Fern. He simply replied, “Alright.”

Fiona understood his intentions.
