“You hit her as well?” Eugene asked Mrs. Neal coldly as he pretended not to hear what she just said.

Mrs. Neal’s expression stiffened. Eugene exuded a sense of oppressive iciness, which made her feel slightly guilty about her actions.

“That’s right. I slapped her once. Who asked her to seduce someone else’s man without any self-control?” Mrs. Neal did not think that she was wrong for slapping Fern. Perhaps Fern would learn a lesson after being slapped.

“I’m warning you, you aren’t allowed to cause a scene at her company anymore. You aren’t allowed to do anything to her either. Otherwise… don’t blame me for disregarding the relationship between us. I won’t let you off.”
