Eugene leaned against the car seat. He closed his eyes and did not spare her a single glance.

The chauffeur did as he said and started the car. He ignored Sydney who was still slamming her hands against the car door and drove away.

Sydney fell onto the ground and hurt her wrist. She ignored the pain and shouted his name at the car, “Eugene…”

Mrs. Neal saw her daughter sitting on the ground disgracefully when she came out of the house. She immediately rushed over and asked, “Syd, are you alright?” She was shocked when she saw the wound on her wrist. Blood flowed out from her wound. “Oh, how did you get hurt? Is Eugene Newton still a man?!”

“Mom, I need to go back.” Sydney was afraid that he would be angry at her because of this incident.

Mrs. Neal thought of something else. She nodded and said, “That’s right. Go back at once. You still have a chance since the effects of the drug haven’t worn out yet.”

Sydney was not in the mood to think about getting pregnant right now.
