Asher Gibbs was a senior she had gotten to know while she was studying abroad in X Country. Somehow, both of them hit it off the first time they met. He always looked after her while they were in university.

She intended to settle down before going to meet her daughter. She wanted to surprise Rue, so she had yet to tell her about her return.

Fern took a bath. She then set her alarm before taking a nap.

Asher knocked on her door at half-past six in the evening.

Fern had applied light makeup and put on an elegant and formal suit skirt. She took a final glance at her reflection in the mir
