“Fernie, they hung up on us again,” Lena told Fern in a tone of dismay.

They had taken the initiative to contact plenty of movie crews but they were rejected by all of them.

Fern seemed to have expected that this would happen. She looked pretty calm.

“It’s alright. If I can’t find any work now, I’ll just give myself a break for a period of time and take some rest.”

Lena was panicking even more than her now. “You can rest for two to three days, but you can’t go on a long hiatus. You know as well just how many newcomers are entering the industry on a daily basis. Everyone is trying their best to gain fame. If you stop here, someone else will take your place soon!”

Furthermore, Fern had lost everyone whom she could depend on. She had to do everything on her own now. It was extremely difficult.

Fern understood everything that Lena said. She did not want to stop here as well, but she had been banished from the industry. She had no choice but to lay low for a period of time.
