Amelia's point of View:

Waking up felt like hell.

I didn't remember what happened till my memory kicked in

When I woke up, I saw my husband Lucie sitting alone, staring at his hands.

On my left was where my dad and brother Ace stood, they all looked lost.

"Did someone die?" I whispered softly while trying to sit up.

"Amelia!" They all said together before shushing towards me.

I gave them a smile then let out a small hiss when I felt the pain on my neck.

"You remembered what happened?" My husband asked while I nodded my head.

"The last thing I remembered was Gray calling me , and when I answered the call, I heard nothing form the line, then my car exposed" I said softly.

My dad nods his head.

"Is Gray fine?" I asked softly looking at them.

My brother, ace nods his head before letting out a breath.

"Turned out the people that called you, stole his phone a week ago, so he doesn't really know who they are or what they look like" ace said while I nodded.

"And Tony?" I turned to my husband

Frank’s Point of ViewThe city lights flickered against the windshield as I drove through the dark streets, my mind swirling with anger and frustration. Ivy finally called, saying Regina was back.Good.But I wasn’t stupid. Something was off. Ivy’s voice didn’t have that same cocky tone she usually carried. She was hiding something.I tightened my grip on the steering wheel, my knuckles turning white.Ivy was disposable. Regina was not.If Regina slipped through my fingers again, everything I had planned would crumble. No, I wouldn’t let that happen.I needed control. Complete control.I pulled into a dark alley, parking the car. The silence was deafening, the city noise distant. I pulled out my phone and dialed Marcus. He answered on the first ring.“Where are you?” I barked.“Outside Ivy’s place, like you told me,” Marcus replied coolly. “Been watching for hours. No movement.”“She’s in there. Regina too. But I don’t trust Ivy. Not anymore.”“You want me to take care of it?” Marcus

Frank’s Point of ViewThe cold night air did nothing to calm the storm brewing inside me. I leaned against the car, staring at the quiet street where Ivy lived, my mind racing. How did everything start falling apart so quickly?Regina was supposed to be a pawn in my game, nothing more. Ivy had one simple job—keep her in line. And yet, here I was, standing in the dark, wondering how both of them managed to screw everything up.I clenched my fists. No, this wasn’t over. Not yet.I turned to Marcus, who was sitting in the driver’s seat, casually scrolling through his phone."Anything?" I asked, my voice sharp. He glanced up, shaking his head. "Nothing. They’ve been quiet. Ivy’s still inside."I let out a slow breath, trying to steady myself."They’re hiding something," I muttered. "I can feel it."Marcus gave me a look. "You think Regina’s working with someone?"I nodded slowly."She didn’t just disappear overnight without help. Someone's protecting her."Tony.The name crept into my min

Amelia’s Point of ViewThe car ride was suffocatingly silent.Lucie’s hand rested on my thigh, his grip protective but tense. I stared out of the window, watching the city lights flicker as we drove farther from the hospital. Every movement sent a dull ache through my body, a reminder of what Morana Azalea, and Monica had done to me.Lucie hadn’t spoken much since we left. His anger simmered just beneath the surface, his jaw clenched so tightly I thought it might shatter. We finally pulled up to an iron gate that slowly creaked open, revealing Lucie’s family estate in the distance, an intimidating blend of elegance and authority.Lucie gave my leg a gentle squeeze."We’re here," he said quietly.I only nodded, too drained to speak. As we entered the grand house, the warmth of the space didn’t quite reach me. The tension in the air was thick, and it wasn’t just because of what had happened.Lucie’s mother, Verena, was the first to greet us. Her presence was both commanding and comforti

Amelia's point of View:"This isn't a good idea" my uncle said while walking around the house.I told him the plan Lisa McVey had to get Morana which he didn't agree too."Come on uncle please" I said softly."No Amelia, you lived with me for two years, I trained you for two Years and you saw how hard it was getting that woman" he said firmly while I shook my head."But Lisa is also a strong leader and maybe her plan might work" I suggested."A plan where you have to fight a dangerous Mafia woman?" He asked with a raised eyebrow while I nodded."Maybe you and Lisa should discuss" my dad told my uncle who just rolled his eyes."I don't like women that doesn't listen, but I'll think about it" he said then sat down on the chair."Anything from your wife?" I asked my brother Ace who shook his eyes."She told her father, but he hasn't said anything yet " he replied while I nodded."What if I race her?' I asked softly Which made my uncle laugh."Yes you are good at racing but not this kind

Lucie’s POVThe cold air bit into my skin as I walked back to the villa, but I hardly noticed it. My mind was spinning, pieces of the puzzle slowly clicking into place, yet the full picture still eluded me.Frank.It wasn’t about me. It never was.Gabby was just a pawn in something bigger. Frank was after something more personal.Amelia.Why else would he go through all this trouble? It wasn’t about me—it was about her.But why?I yanked my phone from my pocket and dialed Ace.If anyone would know, it would be Amelia’s brother. The phone rang a few times before his gruff voice answered."What?"I didn’t waste time."Ace, I need to ask you something. And I need you to take it seriously."There was a pause."I’m listening.""Did Frank ever have a thing for Amelia?"Silence. Then a scoff."Frank? What are you talking about?""I’m serious, Ace. Think back. Did he ever act weird around her? Too interested? Anything?"Another pause."Why the hell are you asking me this?""Because I think Fr

My breath curled into the night sky in shallow puffs, but I barely noticed.I had one goal.Find Gabby.I needed answers, and I wasn’t going to wait for them to fall into my lap.Gabby wasn’t here by chance. She had a reason, and if Frank was behind this, then she was just a pawn in something much bigger. But that didn’t excuse her. Whatever game she was playing, it was messing with Amelia—my Amelia—and that was something I couldn’t let slide.I walked through the dimly lit streets, the crunch of snow under my boots the only sound in the quiet night. The resort town was calm, people tucked away in their cabins, unaware of the tension threading through my veins.Gabby wouldn’t be far. She wasn’t stupid. She’d stay close enough to keep an eye on things but far enough to avoid suspicion. My mind raced as I headed toward the smaller rental cottages near the edge of town. That’s whe

Not now.Why was she here?I ran a hand through my hair, gripping the strands tightly, my jaw clenched.Amelia had noticed something was off. Hell, I hadn’t even tried to hide it.I hated how easily Gabby slipped into Amelia’s orbit, how quickly she made herself seem harmless. Friendly. But she wasn’t harmless. Not to me.And definitely not to Amelia. The more I thought about it, the more uneasy I became.Gabby showing up here couldn’t be a coincidence. She was many things, but lucky wasn’t one of them. This was planned.By who, though?I leaned forward, elbows on my knees, and grabbed my phone off the table. There was only one person who might have some answers.Tony.If anyone kept tabs on the old crowd, it was him.I scroll

Gabby’s POVThe soft hum of the café filled the quiet air, blending with the faint clinking of cups and the low murmur of conversations. The morning crowd had come and gone, leaving only a few customers scattered around. I leaned against the counter, staring at the steam curling from a fresh pot of coffee, letting the warmth wash over me.But my mind wasn’t on coffee. It was on him.Frank.The man who made deals feel like death sentences. My phone buzzed in my apron pocket, the vibration rattling against my ribs. I didn’t need to check the screen. I already knew who it was.Slowly, I pulled it out and stared at the name flashing across the screen.Frank.I swallowed the lump in my throat and answered, pressing the phone tightly to my ear."Yeah?"A deep, smooth chuckle echoed through the line."Now, that’s no way to greet me, Gabby."I closed my eyes briefly, steadying my breath."What do you want?"There was a pause, long enough to make me uneasy."Just checking in. Amelia’s POVThe next morning, sunlight streamed through the frost-covered windows, casting a pale glow across the room. But the warmth of the light did nothing to thaw the tension that had settled deep in my chest.Lucie’s words from last night echoed in my mind."There’s more to Gabby than you know. And if you keep digging, you’re going to regret it."But regret or not, I couldn’t ignore the nagging feeling in my gut. Gabby wasn’t just some girl from Lucie’s past. She was connected to something bigger, and Lucie was hiding it.I stood by the window, watching the snow drift lazily to the ground. Lucie was still asleep upstairs, and I knew confronting him again would only lead to another argument. So I needed answers. And I wasn’t going to get them from him.I grabbed my coat and quietly slipped out of the villa, the cold biting at my skin. My boots crunched softly on the thin layer of snow as I made my way to the small café in town where Gabby said she worked. It was early, but the

Amelia’s POVThe cold air burned my lungs as I rushed back to the villa, my boots crunching harshly against the snow. Gabby’s words replayed in my head, louder with each step."Lucie isn’t as innocent as he pretends to be. And I’m not the victim everyone thinks I am."She wasn’t lying. I could see it in her eyes—the steady confidence, the way she didn’t flinch. But what did that mean?Had Lucie lied to me all this time? No. He couldn’t have. But if that was true, why did he react the way he did when I mentioned Gabby? Why did he shut me out?I reached the villa, nearly tearing the door off its hinges as I stormed inside."Lucie!" I shouted, my voice echoing off the high ceilings. There was no response.I kicked off my boots and marched through the house, checking every room. Finally, I found him in the study, leaning over some papers. He looked up slowly, calm and composed. But that calmness only made my anger flare."We need to talk," I snapped. He arched an eyebrow. "About what?""D

Amelia’s POVLater that evening, I sat by the large window of the villa Lucie and I had rented, watching the snow fall in delicate flurries. The fire crackled behind me, casting flickering shadows on the walls and filling the room with a comforting warmth. Yet, despite the cozy atmosphere, my mind was far from settled.Gabby.There was something about her that lingered, something I couldn't shake off no matter how hard I tried. She seemed familiar, but I was certain we'd never met before. At least, not that I could remember. Her eyes, the way she spoke, it was all too… calculated.I pulled the knitted throw tighter around me and sighed, my breath fogging up the cold glass."You're quiet."Lucie’s voice cut through the silence, smooth and steady, but with an undercurrent of curiosity.I turned to see him leaning casually against the doorway, arms crossed over his chest. His usual cocky smirk was absent, replaced by something softer. Concern, maybe."Just thinking," I replied, my voice
