"They're bankrupt?" I asked, with a slow smile forming on my face.

"Yes, they are. Alpha Jeremy has a number of employees he hasn't paid yet, and has a penalty to pay for being unable to fulfill the terms of a contract. He signed a contract that stated he would buy a company, but he had to go back on his word, earning him more debt on his neck." Lilac explained, and my smile turned into a smirk.

"It's only a matter of time before they're completely wrecked." I said, and she smiled.

"I'm afraid wives should be chosen just as carefully as business partners are chosen." She commented, and I laughed.

"But I thought Alpha Jeremy was very rich. Did he really get bankrupt?" I asked.
