"What the hell were you even thinking?!" I yelled, stomping towards my desk as I glared hatefully at Karina who backed away from me.
After leaving with Karina from the restaurant, I had felt guilt clawing at my heart to go back and comfort Ava who had been crying. There was something about watching her cry that sent shivers down my spine.
And the words Karina had uttered were rude and hurtful. But what annoyed me more was the fact that I couldn't do anything about it. I was too shocked that Karina would go to such lengths to hurt someone else.
However, it didn't shock me as much as when Ava took out her hand to shake Karina as a greeting. Did she have no shame? No pride?
