Aria smiled broadly when she saw the man who had always accompanied her lately, walking into the Florist where she worked.
And to answer Conni's curiosity, of course Aria introduced her friend to her boss politely.
“Conni, this is my friend, Alexander. And Alexander, this is Conni, the loveliest Florist owner ever!" Aria giggled, introduced Conni who looked stiff where she was standing.
"We met two months ago but he only told me his true identity last night."
Conni, who was already pale with fear, smiled slightly at her. "I-Identity?" Conni asked in a squeaky voice. She could barely made her voice out.
"Identity card!" Aria laughed. "And even though he is old, I don't think that will hinder our friendship." She laughed again. Alexander didn’t change his stare on Aria who now looked very happy when she said that, with his flat gaze.
"Ah, I see..." Conni tried to look as normal as possible, but she failed right when Alex turned his gaze on her.
How could she keep her body from shaking under Alexander's extremely cold and cruel gaze?
And how could Aria choose to be friends with Alexander? Hadn't she seen Alexander's identity? Did this innocent girl still not know who her new friend is?
Aria then rushed to take the bouquet of flowers she had prepared and handed it to Alex.
“You must be early for this, right?” Aria smiled at him. Alex looked at her with the same flat gaze he always showed to Aria. However, his coldness only add up to his hotness.
Aria's face heated up because Alex just looked at her without saying anything. It's always so hard to breathe around him anyway, she said internally to herself.
Alex took the flower from her hand and took out a black card for Aria.
"Okay, Wait a moment!" Aria took the card from his hand and rushed behind the cashier's desk to swipe it. Aria was so focused on what she was doing that she didn't notice Conni who was scared to death in front of Alexander.
When she was finished, Aria returned the card to Alex. “Thank you, Sir.” She giggled.
“Come on.” Alex gestured his head outside for Aria following him.
“Err… You go first, I still have to help Conni close the shop. Besides, it's not dark yet. I'll go home by bus." Aria said smiling at him. But Alex frowned.
The man turned to Conni with a disapproving look and the poor Florist owner immediately waved her shaking hand at Aria.
“No, no… You can go home now. These matters, just leave it to me, okay?” She rushed inside to get Aria's small bag, and immediately handed it to the clueless Aria. While Aria could only stare at her in confusion,
"Here, check it out, don't leave anything behind."
Aria, who was still confused, could only stare at her blankly while holding her small bag. She then looked at Alex and it turned out that the man was already waiting for her to go outside.
"Well... everything is in here..." She said. After that, she felt a large hand placed on her lower back and pushed her gently.
“Come on…”
It turned out that it was Alex who urge her and looked like he couldn't wait to get out of there.
"Bye, Conni!" Aria still had time to wave at Conni, who also waved her hand with a very odd expression.
She frowned. Did Connie suddenly get sick? Or, did she just see a ghost? She looked very pale.
….…
"When are you free?" Aria asked Alex who was focused on driving the car. "I just got paid and got a bonus today, so I'll pay your treat last night." She said proudly.
She saw Alex small smirk. Her cheeks heat up. She couldn't help but fall under the spell of Alex's perfect figure.
“Today.” His short answer made her eyes widened.
And Alex never play with his words. He took her to a cafe which was actually not too far from her apartment.
“Woah, this is a new cafe?” They get out of the car. The parking lot is quite spacious and there were several chairs to hangout outdoor.
“Great! If we drink our late night coffee here, we can see the stars in the clear sky.” Aria said as she walked beside Alexander towards the cafe building which was filled with warm yellow lights.
They went inside and suddenly, the atmosphere, which was initially filled with the murmur of people chatting, became quiet when they looked at Alex. They seemed to avoid eye contact with him, but glanced at Aria curiously.
Aria was certainly increasingly aware of this strange thing. But zhe didn't want to worry about it for now. Today she still had somtime to hang out for a while. She felt grateful that Conni closed the shop much earlier than usual.
“Hi… Er… Can I help you?” A waiter greeted them, and his reaction was the same as the other visitors. He seemed to avoid making eye contact with Alexander. But still smiled sweetly at Aria.
"Hi, Good afternoon, Sir." Aria greeted him with her usual sweet smile. The young waiter looked fascinated to see her. It had been three months since he moved to this city to help his brother open this cafe, but this was the first time he had seen a girl as beautiful and sweet as Aria.
“I want this bread… oh this one too. Alex, which one do you want?” Aria showed the menu she took from the waiter.
Maybe Aria didn't see how people widened their eyes when they heard her call Alex so casually.
Alex, who of course didn't give a damn to his surroundings, pointed to a piece of bread that Aria had previously pointed to.
“Oh, we like the same taste!” Aria giggled. She immediately ordered two glasses of iced chocolate for her, and a cup of black coffee for Alexander.
“Where do you want to sit?” Aria asked after paying for their order. Alexander didn't take his eyes off the girl and her cheeks turned red again.
“Pick a spot.” He said indifferently.
Aria looked around her. Actually, there were lots of empty seats because the room was quite spacious.
However, right at that moment she saw the gazes of people who were curious when they saw her but avoided Alex's gaze. They even looked uncomfortable when they saw Alex was here.
Aria pursed her lips. But then her smile grew when she saw the outdoor seats.
"I want to eat my snacks while enjoying the air outside..." Aria said, smiling broadly at Alexander, who immediately nodded and waited for her to walk first.
“I'm glad I can go home early today.” Aria said when they were sitting at their table and enjoying the order that was hurriedly delivered by the waiter.
“Usually, I have to go home immediately and cook for grandma. But today I have a little time to play before going home.” Aria smiled while occasionally sipping her ice chocolate.
“Not that I'm complaining. It's just, I can breathe a little while..." She said looking at Alex’s bread which he hadn't touched at all.
Since then, Alexander had not moved at all from his position. He sat, leaned back in his the chair, arms folded across his chest, and his eyes did not move from Aria at all.Aria took the bread and began to cut it into small pieces and handed it back to him.
Alex looked at it for a moment before he decided to take one piece and chew on it. Aria smiled seeing that he wanted to eat with her. She also began to take one piece of her own and ate it too.
“But, I have something that's been lingering on my mind since this morning, though…” Aria began. She took a big bite and it made her cheeks puff. Alex watched her and couldn't help his breathy chuckle when he saw her.
"What is it?" He finally asked.
Aria leaned forward, placed her hands on table and looked at Alex sharply. “Why does everyone look scared when they hear your name? They look even more afraid when they see you, just like Conni. Do you guys know each other? Or, Have you ever bullied them?” Aria asked in a whisper. She didn't want anyone else to hear what she said.
Alex chuckled at her adorable behavior.
He let out a slow grunt. "No, I don't know them." Alex answered her. He leaned forward, his elbows resting on the table, just like Aria was doing now. Making their faces closer.
Arai gulped when she could see her reflection clearly in his black deep orbs. She felt like she could drown at any moment in his eyes.
“Are you… a dangerous person?” Aria asked, still whispering. She tried to meet Alex's intense gaze even though she was actually having difficulty breathing because of it.
“If I were a dangerous person. Will you afraid of me?” He asked.
Her eyes slightly widened, but then, she looked down on the table. Aria baffled in her own mind.
Then, she answered without moving her eyes from the table, avoiding Alex's gaze.
“Yes…”
“I'll be out of town, tomorrow..”Aria turned her gaze back at him, he had also been staring at her for a long time, trying to read what the beautiful girl in front of him was thinking about."How long?" She asked briefly. For some reason, Aria felt that she would be very lonely if Alex wasn't here anymore. But she won't admit it.Aria was confused about her feelings. Isn't she used to being lonely? Then why did it become more pronounced when she got to know this big guy?"One week." He finally answered her.Her eyes widened slightly. In the next week, she won't meet him like this."After a week, will we go to this cafe again?" Aria asked innocently, blinking her eyes at him rapidly.Alex smirked and nodded his head once. She looked adorable in every way.“You must be very busy. Was your boss the one who sent you out of town?” She asked.Alex stared at her without blinking for a few seconds. That smirk stayed on his handsome face. It amused him that she still didn't have any clue who
“Aria?”Conni shook her shoulder because she looked so lost in her thought in front of the cashier. Aria, who was shocked, immediately apologized.“I am so sorry, I didn't hear what you said, what's that again?”Conni took a deep breath and pursed her lips. This girl, who is usually cheerful and always talks a lot, now became silent and looked gloomy."What is it? Are you in trouble?” Conni asked and sat on the chair next to her.Aria widened her eyes a little and immediately shook her head. She laughed awkwardly.“Eh?What problem? Everything is fine, don't worry. Hehe..." She immediately wrote something in her little book to distract Conni.Of course, Conni wasn't fooled by that, she was even more curious. Because Aria is not that quiet type. Since she knew her more than a year ago. Conni always saw her smile sweetly, spoke cheerfully, and could always change the atmosphere to be more colorful. Even though she was tired, Aria always tried to liven up the atmosphere around her. She is
Aria leaned her head against the bus window and watched outside where the city view passed her eyes. She was still hugging the two boxes of lunch that Conni gave her.Now her eyes were looking aimlessly. Her mind drifted to where she was going.A place where she once called home. After all this time she ignored it, but now, she paid her little attention to it. That the face of this one person who had abandoned her were everywhere. Banners, billboards, even tall buildings with huge banners on it. Every single one of them with the words, ‘To The Better Future, with Mayor Wellbert’.A bitter chuckle slipped out of her throat. Yes, he is indeed an honorable person. Would he at least look at her? Again, at least, she tried.Aria arrived in front of a very tall and large gate an hour later. It was brown with beautiful snaking carvings that she didn't even understand what was the meaning behind it. One thing for sure, this was majestic gate was the entrance to the luxury house.Aria's tremb
"Nana, take Aria into my private office, now." Giovanni Wellbert said his order and took a deep breath before turning around, and walking towards his office which was across from this very spacious and luxurious room."Yes, Sir." Nana bowed respectfully and took Aria away following Mr. Wellbert who was walking quickly in front of them."Mom! Why would Daddy want to talk to her?” Jasmine could be heard whining with her spoiled attitude behind them. And Aria didn’t care about it.“Shh! Shut up,” Susan warned her daughter. She watched her husband walk away, followed by Nana and Aria.Jasmine whispered to her mother with the expression on her face changing, from annoyed to worried."Mom, is she here to get rid of us and take this house?"Susan looked at her spoiled daughter with wide eyes. “My darling, what did you say that? Your mother will not let that happen! Don't worry, my beautiful daughter. I already have a plan. And your father already agreed to it." She looked at them and entered
Instantly Aria knew that she unpurposely dragged herself into this trap."Marry? What are you talking about?"“Yes, married. Isn't that profitable? You can marry a rich man and Grandma have her best treatment without you having to burden yourself with huge costs." Giovanni explained excitedly. He saw how Aria's face was already red with anger. But he didn’t care, not that he even cared for her in the first place."Marrying a man that rich won't make you think about the cost of living, let alone having to support your sick Grandmother, you can live comfortably and have lots of wealth...""Do you think I'm the same as your wife?" Aria interrupted his sentence and his eyes widened when he heard that."Do you think I am your wife?" Aria emphasized her every word. "I may be poor and stupid, but I don't want to get married just because I want to live a luxurious life."“Aria…”Aria stood up and looked at her father with disappointment. Her eyes filled with angry tears and sadness. She gulpe
“Aria dear, your phone…” Conni called while she was taking new stock of flowers in the back room. “Coming…” She walked quickly while hugging a bunch of roses that were still new and fresh. They had been very busy lately, some orders were coming randomly, but there were also bouquets and flower displays for certain celebrations. Aria slowly placed the flower in the place she had prepared beforehand. She will arrange these flowers with others according to the client's order. After making sure the flowers were standing up straight and not being crushed to another, Aria ran to get her phone. At the last second, she picked up the phone. “Hi, What's up?” Silence, no sound heard from the other side. “Alex?” Aria called him and looked at her phone screen to make sure he was still on line. Conni, who was arranging several bouquets, not far from Aria, suddenly stiffened when she heard who had called her. Aria put the phone on her ear again. “You haven't texted me in the last few days
Aria took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She had to calm down and put on her sweetest smile even though right now she felt like she would faint. She needs the money for Grandma. If she wanted Grandma to get better, she had to fight.Feeling a little bit relaxed, Aria opened her eyes and immediately screamed in shock when her eyes met with someone, looking at her from behind the curtains.“Laura! You scared me!” Aria patted her chest out of shock. Laura immediately felt bad and apologized to her."I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." She went inside, her lips pouted as she didn’t mean to make her even paler than she already was.“Are you ready for today?” Laura asked her and Aria nodded slowly. “It's going to be a long and rough night today, lots of guests coming and we'll probably be done by four in the morning.” She continued."Okay, I'm ready." She sighed once again. Lots of guests meant lots of people would buy drinks and she would also get lots of tips. But that also mea
"He didn’t pick up his phone.” Kiel impatiently checked the screen on his phone. Alexander didn’t pick up his call now and something is urgent. Young Master was checking several factories on a remote island owned by the Grissham family and at the same time executed some 'rats' there. It most likely the Young Master was taking those ‘rats’ by his own hands. Now he was trying to contact the only heir of the Grissham family, but it didn’t work. And he had to think on his own how to protect a young girl that already attracted the attention of Alexander Grissham. Yes, you read that right. Alexander Grissham took interest in a young girl. An Alexander who despised every living thing on this planet including his own father and family, got closer to a young, innocent girl, these couple of months At first, Kiel thought that Alexander only lost his mind a little when he was shot that night, since he even asked the girl to help him. If it was the usual Alexander, he would shoot the girl rig

“Himaa!!!” Saoirse screamed in excitement when she saw her beloved pet sitting casually under the stairs.“Himaa!! I miss you, Mommy and Daddy said you could come with us wherever we go now!.” She hugged the big cat's neck tightly.Aria's attention was now diverted to her daughter who was hugging a large, white-striped tiger, that sat lazily on the floor. Saoirse looked so small compared to her pet.Alex found the tiger roaming alone in the forest just behind the mansion when she was only as size as a regular cat. Baby Hima was lost and parted from her family. Turned out that her mother died from a gunshot wound. Alex guessed that they were running from illegal hunters and ended up on his property. He took her home and immediately became the star of their attention. After just hours Alex brought her home, and Aria gave birth to Saoirse.Noah named her Hima, and she became more like a sister to them than a pet. Saoirse often did her makeup and put some cute ribbon on her, and Hima woul
“Why don’t we go back to the mansion and live there? We can play with Nana and I miss Hima...”A five-year-old girl, with chubby, blushing cheeks, said with a pout while folding her arms across her chest. Her eyes were squinted because of the glare of the hot sun shining on the seawater, her small red lips pouted making her even more adorable. Her older brother, who was five years older than her, pinched her cheeks.“Don’t you like the beach?” He asked his little sis who suddenly sat down beside him after playing sandcastle not far from the sunbed where her big brother was.“Hmp! I like it! But I miss Nana and Hima…” She started to sound like she was about to cry. Her brother tried to comfort him, even though it was the hardest thing for him to do because Noah wasn’t an expressive person, just like his father.“Saoirse, you know Nana is very old and it is impossible for her to travel far.” He said softly while stroking his sister’s long, soft hair, “How about I tell Mom to bring Hima
When they reached the third floor of the building, the first thing Aria saw was a hallway with purplish lighting that seemed to be dimmed. This floor was much quieter although she could still hear the sound of music from the rooms that lined each side of the hallway. She and Alex entered one of the rooms. Inside, Aria was thankful that the music wasn't deafening. Instead, it was just the soft strains of the instruments that made her quite relieved. The room was bright and quite spacious. Soft velvet sofas surrounded the sides of the room and teak tables were in front of them. From the design, this was clearly for special guests because all the furniture was luxurious and expensive.“Master Grissham! My Lady!”A man with a beautiful woman quickly stood up and bowed to them. Aria rolled her eyes when she saw how messed up the woman’s dress was. She could almost see her nipples behind that dress. It seemed that they just did naughty things before she and Alex came in.Aria looked at Alex
Alexander wrapped his hands around his wife's waist and gently rubbed her. He sat her down on his lap, facing him, with both of her legs beside his. He licked and sucked her lips, domineering her in this kiss. Telling her how much he wanted her now.Aria, being so little in his arms, felt breathless. She tried to push him away but she was nothing compared to his strength.“Alex…hmmpph!” Aria hit his chest lightly, telling the big, burly man to let go, she couldn’t breathe anymore. When Alex finally parted their lips, he didn’t completely let her go. His lips moved to her chin and neck, kissing her soft skin, repeatedly squeezing her buttocks gently, caressing every inch of her he could reach.“Hh.. Alex… not here…” Aria held back his naughty muscular hand, but her husband’s strength was beyond her control.Alex seemed not to hear her, he remained like a hungry beast. When his hand had reached the inside of her thighs and was stroking what was between them, Aria firmly pushed his hand
“I thought he was just…sick…” Aria whispered to her husband beside her. They had now arrived at a mental hospital in the city. Aria stared at the man sitting across them with frown eyebrows. He seemed to be sorting and checking imaginary documents in front of him.“Hmm… this is okay, it could be our project for next year…” He muttered seriously, opening the invisible pages in his hands.“This is also good, but it needs improvement. I also need to know how much the budget is…” He continued, still with a serious expression.Giovanni sat like he was working like usual, wearing a patient's uniform and a pair of toy glasses that a nurse had given him. He asked her for a pair of glasses and said he couldn't work without them.Apparently, Giovanni thought the nurse was his personal assistant.“Sir, Madam, he is not communicative. He will continue to be like this until it is his time to sleep,” said a nurse who accompanied them in the visiting room.Aria looks at Giovanni Wellbert, the former
Aria, Alexander, and Grandma sat at the dining table in the main dining room of the Grissham Mansion. Even though there were only the three of them, but the room was full of warmth. Alex's cold and intimidating aura was defeated by the warmth that Aria brought to the house. He is a man with an intimidating aura, his tall figure, and bulky, tatted body could make anyone scared. But when it comes to his wife, he could only obey her.Like right now. He had to be home in time because Aria had already cooked for dinner.Alexander certainly didn't want to miss out on his wife's cooking.“Here, eat it, I planted it, especially for your herbal medicine.” Grandma took a single, green leaf from a bowl that Aria had noticed since earlier. She was confused earlier because she didn’t cook that one. Aria immediately frowned when she recognized it.“Grandma….” She immediately complained.“It’s been boiled and given a little spice, it won’t be too bitter.”Aria doubted which papaya leaves were not bi
With his head leaning on the couch, Alexander stared at the high ceiling. In his mind, he saw his mother's sunken face, she looked exhausted and weak. Even though on her body there were no more bruises and wounds like back then, but her weak and sad gaze made him worried. She was sick. And he had to take her away from there. He took a deep breath before continuing, “Those missions, all my work facing the dangerous and tricky situation made me stronger. One day I completed a dangerous mission and the reward was a big deal. After almost seven years I became a slave for my father and tried to get the old Grissham's recognition so that they would treat me and my mother well. I finally gave up. I returned with victory and hoped that my mother and I could go far away from that hell. Starting a new life, a normal one….”But Aria could already guess that what Alex had planned at that time did not go as expected. And she was hardly ready to hear the rest.“I came home after almost three weeks
This time, Aria was silent and Alexander was the one who spoke. Although sometimes there was a pause for a few seconds, Aria patiently waited for her husband to tell the story of his past and family. She understood that Alexander was not as fluent as she was when telling a story. It's just the way he is, Aria thought. Because Alex was a man with a few words and now tried to tell and explain to her about the wounds that he actually wanted to keep hidden forever. They were still in the VVIP room in the hospital. Aria had changed her clothes, she was wearing a short, peach skirt and a simple oversized shirt with the same color as her white shoes. She liked her outfit today and people wouldn't believe her if she said that Alex was the one who chose it for her.Meanwhile, her husband was wearing his signature black t-shirt and trousers. She sat sideways on Alex's thighs, and his husband's hand kept stroking hers. He looked troubled in the first minutes. He opened his mouth but then closed
