69. CHAT WITH FATHER

My father furrowed his brows at me for a while, as if contemplating whether to fall into my trap or not. Eventually, he gave in and came to stand before me.

I noticed that his hair looked even darker under the amber light coming from the chandelier above us.

"What do you want to talk about?" He asked and placed his hands in his pants' pocket.

I exhaled sharply in satisfaction and gestured at the way forward. "I think we need to be alone for this. Your room will be perfect," I stated.

He corked a brow at me before leading the way. He took me down the corridor on the other side of the house. We entered the narrow lane and walked in silence until Father stopped before a door.

He pushed it open, reached in and switched on the light before throwing me a glance as if to tell me to go in first. I nodded in acknowledgement and entered the space. Father followed shortly behind before locking the door.
