RED'S POINT OF VIEW

I couldn't shake the feeling of regret as I watched Max and Lance in the room. I knew he had messed up by taking down Max's confession and pushing her away. I had let my fears and insecurities get the best of me.

As much as I wanted to hate Lance for being with Max, I knew deep down that it wasn't Lance's fault. I had no right to be jealous, and I had no one to blame but myself.

But what if I took a risk now? What if I told Max how he felt, and they could try to make it work? I couldn't shake the feeling that they were meant to be together, and I knew I would always regret it if I didn't try.

I took a deep breath, trying to steel my nerves. I walked towards Max and Lance, my heart pounding in my chest.

"Hey, guys," he said, trying to sound casual.

Max turned towards him, a surprised look on her face. Lance just nodded, giving me a small smile.

"I'm sorry to interrupt, but can I talk to you for a second, Max?" I asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
