Chapter 2

"Hahaha are you surprised?" asked someone on the other line. Dea was furious to see infrared stuck to her white dress.

"Crazy! What do you mean by doing like this?" Dea asked excitedly. How could it be on her wedding day to be given a terrible shot of a gun. Her heartbeat was working fast.

"Hahaha..." The person laughed giddily, he seemed to enjoy seeing Dea's emotion.

“You laugh at people's suffering?!”

Dea sighed roughly, these few days there were many unexpected things. However, today was even crazier.

"Ekhemm..." the person cleared his throat after being satisfied with laughing at the woman he called.

"Are you satisfied?" asked Dee.

"Of course I'm satisfied. The day after tomorrow meet me at the location I shared in the message."

Ting! There was an incoming message on Dea's cell phone. And that is the share location that was just notified. The woman rolled her eyes, feeling embarrassed to respond to such an unknown person.

"At 15.00 WIB, we must meet as soon as possible. This is very important,” explained the figure.

"I refuse. Bye." She immediately hung up the phone.

She was really annoyed that she had been toyed with by people she didn't know. The infrared that was previously in her chest had now disappeared. Somewhere, it seems that someone is not aiming at her anymore. Dea breathed a sigh of relief.

PYARRR!!! suddenly the glass behind her shattered. Dea immediately lowered her head, the tragic memory she had experienced earlier resurfaced.

"Hahh... hah... hah..." her breath hitched. She felt that no oxygen could enter her nostrils.

"Dea!" cried Aiden who immediately ran to the balcony. The man immediately carried Dea inside. Everyone looked panicked, except for Wijaya and Kusuma.

"I'll take Dea to a safe place first, Pa," Aiden said to Kusuma.

Aiden's father nodded and immediately pulled out a gun from under his jacket. So is Wijaya.

Dea's situation is really messed up, she is now unconscious.

Everyone in the ballroom was in a panic. Some of the guards that had been prepared were already in alert mode.

Aiden and several guards ran to the room that had been rented. There were Lusi and Rita at the door of the room.

"Come on in," said Lusi, Aiden's mother-in-law.

Everyone entered, and all seemed calm. They had predicted this would happen, so there was already planning to deal with it.

On the other hand, Wijaya and Kusuma were on alert. This all concerns their families, especially Dea and Aiden. Being the golden child in each family, makes everyone have to protect them.

"Don't be careless, sir," said Wijaya.

"Well. However, I've never used a gun like this," complained Kusuma.

"Relax, I'm here. If there is an enemy approaching, just shoot it, whether it is in accordance with the aim or shot, it doesn't matter, "said Wijaya calming the man his behind.

They stood guard until 20 minutes later.

Ting! Wijaya's cellphone notification rang, indicating an incoming message.

[I've done it, Sir.]

Write that message.

"Ekhemm..." Wijaya cleared his throat. "Everything is fine, you can go now," he ordered. One by one people left the ballroom. Leaving Wijaya and Kusuma.

"Is it really okay?" asked Kusuma.

"Alright, let's go to the kids first. My daughter might relapse because of this incident,” said Wijaya who immediately walked quickly to Aiden and Dea's room. Kusuma followed the man's footsteps in a hurry.

Rita and Lisa are now accompanying an unconscious Dea. While Aiden was busy with his cellphone.

"How is my daughter doing?" Wijaya asked breathlessly. He ran far enough to reach this room.

Lusi suddenly turned to her husband, "Unconscious. It seems she was too shocked.”

Wijaya approached Dea, he looked at his daughter with pity. There was guilt spreading in his heart. He really regretted letting Dea go to the balcony.

"Ugh..." Dea groaned, starting to wake up.

"Honey," Wijaya called and immediately sat his daughter down so she would wake up and not fall asleep again.

"Father, what happened?" asked Dea confused.

"Nothing, everything is safe. You're not hurt are you?" Wijaya stroked his daughter's hair gently.

Dea researched her whole body, "Nothing."

"I'm grateful." Wijaya looks relieved.

After the situation felt safe, everyone came out of the bridal chamber. Leaving Dea and Aiden in one room.

All this time Aiden was only busy with himself, and so was Dea. They treat each other like strangers.

The next day they all returned to their respective homes. Now Dea and her parents have to separate because she has to go with her husband.

"Be careful, honey, don't forget to tell Mom and Dad," Lisa advised her eldest daughter.

Dea just nodded her head, with tears in her eyes she hugged her parents. Wijaya was already crying sobbing to let go of his favorite daughter.

"Dea goes first, Dad," said Dea to her father. Wijaya just nodded his head, letting go of his beloved daughter felt very heavy.

Dea smiled at her parents, then she got into the car.

Her parents waved to accompany the car that was getting further and further away. Without realizing it, the tears fell.

Srobb... Srobb... her nose was full of snot from holding back the tears.

Aiden handed his wife a tissue without saying a word.

It feels very hard to live without parents, especially since Dea is not ready to get married yet.

It took several hours to make the journey to their home. Now Dea is in her private room, alone. Aiden asked to separate the beds so they were in different rooms even though they were on the same floor.

Drrttt... drttt... Dea's cell phone vibration wakes up the building. She immediately looked for the source of the vibrations around her body.

"Hello?" she said hoarsely.

"Did you just wake up?" asked someone on the other line.

Dea rubbed her eyes, she felt very dazzled by the sun.

"Yes, what do you need?" asked Dea in a state not fully aware.

"I already said yesterday the day after tomorrow, we will meet at the place I have shared," explained the person.

Dea's eyes widened, she was very surprised to hear that explanation.

"Oh Lord! You really are such a perverted terrorist. I don't know you, please stop calling me!" said Dea who immediately turned off her cell phone. She was really annoyed by the phone call.

"What will happen after this?" Dea thought. She remembers what happened during her wedding. After disconnecting the call, suddenly there was a shot that caused the balcony glass to shatter.

The woman's body shuddered, and Dea quickly rushed out of her room. Run to the dining room.

"Hahh... hah... hahh..." Trying to keep her breathing steady, Dea realized that Aiden was watching her.

"Are you okay?" asked the man with knitted brows, he felt strange about his wife's behavior.

"Ah! I'm okay, no problem. Take your time," said Dea. She walked straight to the dining table.

Her position was a bit far from where Aiden was sitting. She tried to be calm and graceful.

The man just watched Dea from a distance. And back to being indifferent.

Dea is still busy adjusting her irregular heart rhythm.

Bik Asih, the butler at Aiden's house, carefully prepares food for her mistress.

"Thank you Bik Asih," said Dea.

"You're welcome, madam," answered Asih with her head bowed respectfully.

The woman ate her breakfast voraciously, suddenly a voice came from Aiden's mouth.

"I'll be home late because I have to have dinner with Wendy, so you stay home. Don't go anywhere," Aiden ordered.

"I didn't hear it," said Dea.
