Violet’s Sixteen Bday

     It has been a few months now that Jay and I have been living happily in the treehouse together. I got up expecting today to be like every other day has. When I got up Jay was no longer in bed. I got out of bed and walked down the hall to take a shower. It's super quiet this morning.  I don't hear Jay anywhere this morning. It wasn't time to go to town so he should still be here that's odd. I will check the garden after I get dressed. After my shower I brush my teeth and wash my face before heading back to our room to get dressed. When I get back in our room there is a box laid on our freshly made bed on my side. I know this wasn't here when I went to the bathroom and the bed wasn't made. I open the box wondering what the occasion was. As soon as I opened the box there was a note along with a single hybrid rose. The rose was absolutely beautiful fire red on the trim of the petals and a beautiful blue on the base of the petals. This is the most beautiful rose I have ever seen. I set the stunning rose down on the bed and picked up the note and reads it aloud to myself. The note read: Violet, My beautiful love I have had a special team working on this hybrid rose for you. Ever since I saw the blue flame I knew I could find a way to show you my love for you. And to remind you that with both flames working together you can do amazing things to help others. I love you. Love Jaylor. P.S. Move the paper to reveal the other present. As soon as I removed the tissue paper I saw a note on top of a dress. The note said Happy birthday on it. As soon as I read the note I thought could it really be that time already? Is is really my sixteenth birthday today? I look down lost in my own thoughts and they immediately come to a halt as I let out a gasp when I see the dress. I pull it out to take a better look at it. The mid range sleeves look as if they are made of red and blue fire in a beautiful pattern that continues to the bust. On the bust each side is solid fire the left is a beautiful red fire and the right a beautiful jade blue fire. They wrap around to the  back coming together and form the most beautiful fire rose right under the bust line. Under that is a sideways rose that looks just like the one Jay had bred for me with petals falling off and the lower the petals get they turn into bright beautiful colorful feathers that line the bottom of the dress with a black background. This dress is absolutely beautiful I can't wait and slip it on over my under garments. This dress frames my body absolutely perfect from the feel of it. I comb my hair and let it finish drying naturally. I finally can't wait any longer and look at the mirrior. My mouth dropps in shock as I look back at a the stranger staring at me. The bust fits so well that it shows just the right amount to keep it modest and the dress falls right below my knees. As i thought it does frame my body perfectly. My amber glowing skin and long curly crimson hair only complement the dress. As I look up to my eyes the beautiful; red fiery look in the middle is now surrounded by a blue firery ring. I stare at my eyes for a second trying to take them in. It's like looking at a completely different person that I don't know. I gather myself and wonder why I still haven't heard or seen Jay. Before I leave the mirror I give the dress a twirl I can't help but feel beautiful in this dress. I give the stranger looking back at me a half smile before walking away from the mirror.

       I leave our room, and look down the hallway both way to see if there is any sign of Jay at all, then I head to the kitchen to make me some coffee. When I got in the kitchen there was a freshly brewed pot of coffee waiting on me. I walked to the cabinet and grabbed a coffee cup, as I turned and opened the fridge to get my creamer out I noticed it right next to the coffee pot, and fixed myself a perfectly warm cup of coffee. I take a sip of the coffee and smile before heading out to the table outside to enjoy my coffee with an amazingly beautiful view of the garden and pond. As I walk out the door to the table I take in the beauty of the day. I get to the table and in the middle of the table is a stained glass vase for a single rose or two with a note that says for your rose propped up on it. I set my coffee down and hurriedly go get my my rose of the bed and put it in the vase. I sit there staring at the rose and didn't even realize I had already finished my coffee. I walked back in and fixed me another cup puttin my creamer back in the fridge before heading back outside. Instead of going back to the table I walked to the railing to over look the garden and pond a little better. I took a couple of drinks of my coffee before setting it down to the side on the railing. I put my arms on the railing and admire the way the sun hits the pond. The garden looks a little different today, but instead of trying to figure that out I keep looking for Jay still no sign. Lost in my thoughts someone walks up to me before I could turn around to see who it was I gelt his warm gentle touch on my shoulder as he softly spoke, My beautiful birthday girl come with me I have a surprise I would love to show you." He pulled away and I turned around as soon as he saw my face he smiled took my cup of coffee and set it on the table outside. He grabbed my hand and lead me to the ladder. He went down first to help me off the ladder once I got there. As soon as I stepped off the ladder he used his hand he had out holding mine to pull me close then covered my eyes and spun me around. Don't worry I will guide you there I don't want you spoiling your surprise. 

      With his other hand he had motioned for everyone to go the ladder and go up and inside. Violet had no idea what was going on or why he had another surprise for her. He has already done more than enough. We finally came to a stop and he asked me if I was ready before removing his hand. I blurted out excitedly, "Of course hurry up." He glanced at the ladder to ensure there was no one still climbing up before he removed his hand. My mouth dropped in sock. Our entire garden was surrounded by rose bushes. not just any rose bushes, but the ones that Jay had bred for me. When I came back to my senses I turned around and grabbed Jay and pulled him into a tight hug and gave him a kiss of gratitude as a single tear of pure joy rolled down my cheek. I looked at him with  the biggest real smile I have ever had on my face before turning back to look at the garden. The roses made an absolutely beautifully perfect perimeter around the garden. Jay asked softly, "I take it you like them?" I just nodded as I was to stunned and happy to speak. I gathered my thoughts and turned to tell him that I love him, and before I even got the chance to speak he stated even more excitedly, "Wait! There's more.. I can't wait to show you my final surprises for your birthday." "Jay", I exclaimed. "There is no need for anymore you have already done enough for me.", I pleaded with him. This is already the best birthday that I have ever had. It’s already overwhelmingly  happy. "Come on Violet. Hurry up and follow me.", Jay said.

     I followed Jay back to the ladder. He went up first and waited right at the top of the ladder for me. He held his hand out for me as soon as I reached the ladder. A soon as he helped me off he headed back to the the door and opened it. Slightly pausing before he went in scanning for the guest to make sure they were hidden. He went in and I followed right behind him confused. He lead me into the kitchen and there was a big loud "Surprise!!", shouted by everyone. Before I could say anything they all started singing happy birthday. Mrs Swan had brought my sisters and Zoey up here for my birthday. Jay is truly amazing for planning this for me. I have missed them all so much. This was exactly what I needed. I blew out the candles on my feather shaped birthday cake, As soon as I was done I had hugged everyone and thanked them for coming to celebrate with me. Jay smirked and said, "The day is not over yet Violet. I still have one surprise for you left." Everyone was smiling and basically bouncing up and down unable to contain their excitement. I was so confused it looked like everyone knew what the surprise was. I can't wait. "Jay you have done so much for me already. I don't need anything else. Y'all have already made this the best and  happiest birthday I could have ever hoped for.  ", I stated with a smile on my face.   I can't stop smiling meanwhile, I keep babbling to myself in my head. I feel like a princess today, which is far from what I am use to, he is being way to good to me. I feel so spoiled by everyone today. Jay has way gone above and beyond today. I mean Mrs Swan has treated me as her daughter ever since. “Well Violet there are a few surprises left for today. You get to read your grandmother’s s letter finally and my last surprise for you is this,” Jay said as he got down on one knee. Before I could react he grabbed my hand and asked, Violet, I love you so much, will you marry me and stay with me forever? I will never let you go again.” I said yes as tears of joy ran down my face. He slipped on a Sapphire and Ruby ring shaped like a rose. Everyone was excited and hugged us and congratulated us. They all knew. Once everyone left I took my grandmother’s letter to table outside and carefully took it out of the envelope.
