CHAPTER 117: JUST HER

Daughter of Andres Hawthorne, via Rosalind Hawthorne. The girl who can effortlessly change the hue of any space. The girl who gave me comfort this morning without me having to ask. The girl who always gives me comfort without expecting anything in return or requesting any personal information about myself.

Although I wouldn't describe her as a distraction, I did look forward to seeing her every day. It may be something as simple as her opening her French doors in the morning or me going over to visit Andres.

But I had to confess, Andres wasn't all that funny. I had to keep reminding myself that his daughter was, in fact, seventeen years old.

"Somewhat- I found something that could potentially be a distraction." I acknowledge, drumming my fingers on the table.

"Someone or some-thing," There's a noticeable pause in between the words.

"Someone- a girl," I responded cautiously, adjusting my posture.
