CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POV

It has been quite a long time since I last saw Ace, and I think that was the main reason why the way he spoke sounded much more mature than before. Ace ordered the rest of the pack warriors and guards to back off, and all of them made way for Ace to walk in front of our spot.

"I still have a faint remembrance of what we used to share, so please leave while I'm still being nice, Celestina. I'm not the same person as you know," Ace said with a serious expression written on his face.

Regardless of what he said, I refused to believe him. It's not like there's a chance that his memories were partially erased, but judging from the way he acted, he's making the impossible possible.

"There's no room for retreat now that I'm here, Ace. Certain scenarios led me here, and I doubt that you know about them. I'd appreciate it if you could let us pass," I replied, now showing an ounce of emoti

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POV There was nothing else left for Ace, Lucas, and I to discuss after the alpha himself declared that we were surrendering for now. Even in Ace's wolf form, he was still considerate enough to let us take our path away from the Crimson Moon Pack without having someone ambushing us. Lucas was walking at a slow pace, but he was still the one who took the lead. I bet that he's ashamed to face me right now, especially not with his injured body, and for retreating like he had no other trait besides cowardice. "We're going back to Leo? Wouldn't he be enraged if he saw you alive and realized that I fooled him into believing that you were really dead?" I asked out of anxiety, troubled that the beta would be far worse dealing with than Ace. The alpha shrugged his shoulders, along with a shake of his head. "I can't tell. Leo is unpredictable, and the way he thinks is kind of psychotic, if you

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVThe three of us went to the Crimson Moon Pack's territories without anyone getting in our way. Unlike when it was only Lucas and me, the pack warriors and guards just easily let us pass the gates, which made me wonder if the Luna ceremony was already finished as Ace strictly protected the mansion from being infiltrated."Why do you keep on looking around?" Ice asked.I wasn't supposed to give him a response since Leo was also with us, but I had no choice; I couldn't ignore him. "Everyone seems to be so obedient, unlike earlier. All of them fought with us and didn't even let a finger of mine pass through the gates. So I'm just anxious about their sudden change.""Someone probably ordered them to let us in. It's either Kris or Siege himself," Leo uttered, which kind of made sense to me if both of them were already expecting that I'd go back here for the third time, even after saying that we'd retreat.A few minutes later, we were already in the lobby of the man

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVI never imagined that Siege would actually try to defend Stella in front of me, as if he were really in love with her. The expression on the alpha's eyes may seem quite lifeless, but for me, it showed how angry he was even though he wasn't frowning. Each and every single footstep of the alpha made me shiver as he came closer to me. He held my wrists, which were gripping tightly on Stella's hair, and then he forced me to let her go as he tightened his hold on mine. I couldn't help but shout out loud because of how painfully he held me, as if he had the intention of breaking my bones."Why are you being like this, Siege?" I asked him, hoping that I'd at least get the sympathy of his wolf lurking inside his body, but it was easier said than done. "Did you make him drink some sort of poison? For him to only look at you, fall for you, and be completely devoted to you, Stella?" I questioned her with my eyes widening, threatening her to tell me the truth as soon as

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVThe rage within me immediately rose to my head. The desire to take the collar of Siege and push him to make him float from the ground was stronger than my will to live. I know my boundaries, but if the alpha really has the intention to step on the Silver Moon's turf, then it would be best to force him to stop.I rushed towards the alpha's spot, completely ignoring the beta even though my arms bumped on him. "What the heck are you plotting, Siege?" I raised my voice at him.Siege didn't even look at me. He was busy staring at the document that he read earlier, which kind of made me feel infuriated even more. I harshly gripped his left shoulder, forcing him to face me as I turned his seat around."Didn't you hear me? What the heck are you plotting?" I repeated the same query, with my pitch getting higher with each word that came out of my mouth."War," Siege answered briefly. "There's no solution other than war, is there? If the Silver Moon Pack would cease to

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVAbout an hour or two has already passed. Lucas recovered from all the injuries he received after getting beaten up by those wolves, where he barely survived. There were no changes until now. The warriors were still lurking around the mansion, and we still haven't made a decision whether to let them be or if we should take vengeance for the sake of those who died without attaining justice."I'll be the first one to go out. If they strike me, then we'll all fight them. If they can be convinced to stop whatever they started, then let's let them go." Lucas finally shared his plan. "Protect Celestina at all costs. She can't die in this realm; it would be a huge mess if Celestina dies here," he added, looking at me with a stern gaze.Ice showed me his hand, and I glanced at it, confused. "Aren't you going to hold my hand again like you used to? This might be the first and last chance that I can hold your hand; won't you let me?" he said, his voice full of affection

  • Vengeance of The Rejected Mate   Chapter 76 - The Innocence

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVI was still a little bit disappointed with the way that Beta Kristoffer was trying to hide his real feelings. I can sense how much he's stopping himself from declaring his love for Celestina, and that's one of the reasons why I hate him. He could just be honest with himself; there's no crime when it comes to loving someone anyway, not unless they force them to do something the opposite party dislikes. As Lucas said, the full moon shone brightly on us. It felt like there was a spotlight that was specifically directed at us. "It's about to come. The beginning of an end. And the end of a beginning," I meaningfully said, referring to judgment day and the rising of the next portal.Because of how much time I wasted talking with Beta Kristoffer, the thought that the Crimson Moon Pack's warriors were still chasing us slipped past my mind. It seems like everyone gathered outside the mansion and was just waiting for the right opportunity to strike us."You saved me th

  • Vengeance of The Rejected Mate   Chapter 77 - The Acceptance

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVIt has been half an hour since we stayed at the bar. I was the only one who remained sane; Beta Kristoffer, Lucas, Leo, and Ice were all drunk now. They kept on blabbering things that I could barely understand.Leo tried to trap me in his arms, and that alone was enough to make me think that he really was interested in Celestina. Meanwhile, Ice was quiet in the corner and had his forehead banging on the table. Lucas kept on grinning while pointing through mid-air, which caused them to glance at where he was pointing even though there was nothing to be seen because it was only the wall there.Beta Kristoffer didn't look like he was drunk, but I could notice the slight changes in his actions. I wanted to take him to bed, but I was worried that the rest of them might get back to their senses and defeat the spirit of alcohol. I doubt that they wouldn't do anything to me if they saw that I'm trying to dominate Beta Kristoffer in bed."Let's go back to the Crimson

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVThe two of us have made up our minds to head over to the mansion now that we have finalized our plan after a few minutes of discussion with our clear, sober minds. I thought that Beta Kristoffer would've been harder to convince to play along with me, but I guess love really beats everything else.I can literally tell that the beta was in love with me, on a serious note. He could've turned me down at will, but he chose not to. A normal brother would've chosen their sibling rather than the other way around."Amelia," I called out to the maid who walked past us and didn't even bother greeting us. "Where's Alpha Siege?" I asked to save us the trouble of searching here and there. The maid glanced at me with a flustered expression. "A-Alpha Siege?" she stuttered. "I think he's still at his office," she added. She was holding a broom with both of her hands, and I noticed how much she was shaking. Before I could say anything else, she had already taken her leave. "Wh

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVI should've believed my guts from the start. And if I did, then Ice wouldn't have had to act as a sacrifice for us to survive and win against the Moon Goddess. I never imagined that he could've been this risky, since I knew him as the type of person who values his own life more than anyone else's."Ice!" I yelled out his name, trying to reach out to him, but he was already too far away from me. "Damn it, Ace! Did the two of you plan this beforehand? Was this why you prevented him from telling me whatever it was?" I questioned him out of frustration, even though I already knew the answer to it.Ace couldn't bear to look me in the eye because of the guilt that was surging in his mind. "I'm sorry. This was the only way for us to live and get through this, Celestina. I already asked him a lot of times to think this over, but Ice insisted that he should be the sacrifice if it comes down to it," he explained. He kept on playing with his fingers while his head was b

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVI screamed to stop the Moon Goddess from erasing the portal's existence. I've been desperately waiting for it to show itself for years, and now that I finally have the chance to get back to my world, I won't let Sarina ruin my dream."Don't do it, Celestina. Do you know what will happen to you if you kill Sarina?" Siege questioned me. His voice was still filled with authority, but there was also a hint of concern in it. "You're going to end up with the same fate as her; you'll die the very second that she dies. That's why there still wasn't anyone who dared to take her life, since it's the same as killing themselves," he explained.Sarina chuckled upon hearing the alpha's explanation. "If you don't want her to take my life, would you do the honor of killing me?" she asked out of pure curiosity.I glanced at Siege, waiting for what his response would be, but his mouth remained shut for minutes. That silence was enough for me to confirm that he's not prepared t

  • Vengeance of The Rejected Mate   Chapter 93 - The Eradication

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVAt first glance, I didn't think that Sarina would descend at this kind of time when a lot of people were still awake. And as expected, all of those around us had their eyes focused on the Moon Goddess. They probably haven't seen them from such a close distance before, which wasn't the case for me.I sensed Stella holding my fingertips, and even if it was just that, I could still feel how strongly she was shaking. It might have been because of the dominant presence of Sarina, or maybe she was just afraid that she might get punished for desiring to take my spot."I came here in case you forgot about the portal, Celestina Villarama." Sarina broke the silence between us, and my eyes widened, realizing that I only thought of the upcoming judgment day and not the next summons of the portal. "In less than a few minutes, the portal is going to show itself in the place where you saw it together with them," she added. The Moon Goddess didn't bother to take a few steps

  • Vengeance of The Rejected Mate   Chapter 92 - The Judgment Day

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVThe woman that all of us didn't want to see this duel barged into the beta's room, and right when I thought that she would yell and demand that they stop, she chose to stand by with such a brazen expression on her face. "Stella," I whispered my sister's name, and she didn't even bother to glance at me—not until she was finally taken aback and her consciousness seemed to have returned to reality."Celestina, what's happening here?" Stella asked me, slowly approaching me as she looked twice at the Wongs siblings, who were still rumbling on one another. "Why are they fighting in their wolf forms? I know that they're supposed to have their regular training sessions, but they never shifted before because of training," she added. The way that Stella sounded genuinely curious about the scenario she stepped into made me feel like she hated to see them in a duel too."If I tell you that I'm the reason why they're having a duel right now, will you believe and forgive m

  • Vengeance of The Rejected Mate   Chapter 91 - The Duel

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVThe way that Kris never spoke right after he saw the mark on his brother's neck made me feel a little bit guilty. I know that I shouldn't be feeling this way since he's not really my mate to begin with, but the way that I got his hopes up that I'd be choosing him and sticking together with him in his new pack that he planned to build was just disappointing.I nudged Siege's arm with my elbow as we were heading inside the Crimson Moon Pack's mansion. He was beside me, and Kris was the one taking the lead."What's wrong with Kris?" I asked, my voice almost coming out like a whisper. "I haven't seen him get this furious before," I added, referring to how Kris wasn't talking to us at all.Siege shrugged his shoulders, pouting. "He's probably hurt that you've got your eyes on me now, unlike before, when he still stood a chance against me," he answered, feeling proud of himself that he was finally able to claim me from his brother. We crossed through the lobby, hea

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVFor the entire night yesterday, I wasn't able to sleep, not even for a minute or two. We had to rest at the same place where Siege killed the Silver Moon Pack's alpha and beta, so it was absolutely uncomfortable for me. Their scent was infuriating to my nose, and it just kept getting stinkier every minute that passed by.Siege wanted to dispose of their bodies in a way that no one would be able to find their corpses, but he had no idea how to do so.I suggested setting their bodies on fire, but it would still gather the pack members' attention, so he made up his mind that he would just make an official announcement that he killed the both of them and that they were the first ones to challenge him to a duel.As their rules were originally set, once someone challenged the other party into a duel, either one of the two had to die, no matter who it was. And now that Siege has done it, he will definitely be the strongest wolf in the whole Dark Valley."Are you goi

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVThe aura that emitted from Siege was bursting with intense bloodlust, even though he was still not shifted to his wolf form. In each step that he made towards Lucas and Leo, he was glowing in a mixture of a dark and crimson aura."Give me Celestina's pendant back, Leo. I'll give you three seconds to hand it to me," Siege seriously mumbled. He wasn't even looking at any of them, and despite watching them from behind, I can see how Siege was only glancing at his feet."Oh, is this what you're after?" Leo showed him the pendant, waving it in front of his face to force Siege to look at it.The beta of the Silver Moon Pack attempted to break the pendant, but he was unsuccessful in every attempt he made. I couldn't help but smirk upon witnessing how much he humiliated himself in front of Siege because of that failure.I guess Sarina was still on my side after all."You thought that you were being protected by the Moon Goddess?" Siege scoffed, finally raising his he

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVEven after all of those provocations that I gave Leo, I still have no concrete plan on how I can possibly take someone as strong as him down. However, despite the difference in our strengths, I still have the will to fight back because of the moral support that I'm getting from Siege. And besides, he's also in a bind because of Lucas.I never imagined that these two would actually team up and yearn to defeat us, since all along, I seriously believed that Lucas wasn't on good terms with Leo. And it's now making me wonder if Ice was also on the same side as his alpha and beta, or if he had a different mindset than the two."When are you going to stop this farce? I'm getting exhausted from all of these; I just want to live a peaceful life; can't you at least grant me that?" I asked, which was followed by a loud sigh. "I don't deserve to experience all these, do I? I mean, I wasn't even born here; what right do you have to make me suffer like this?" I added to ma

CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVIt's not that I have no other choice left. Deep down, I was really waiting for the time that Siege would end up breaking in between my pledge with Kris, and that was the main reason why I paused and hesitated before.I nodded my head. "You should also promise the same thing. I don't care anymore if you've really gotten Stella pregnant; just get her out of the Crimson Moon Pack. I want to be your Luna, and I can't bear seeing my sister taking my spot," I said, which came out of my mouth instead of letting it be said through our mind-link.Siege placed his hand above my head, slowly ruffling my hair, saying that I was beautiful. It was the first time for me to hear him call me beautiful now that I'm a grownup. I know that Siege endlessly called me pretty when we were kids, but I never took it seriously since we were still young back then.He moved away from me, telling me to stand still at the corner and let him handle things with Lucas and Leo.
