“Where have you been?” I sat down in my swivel chair before looking at Sandra.

“How’s the company? I don't think there's a problem without me? ” I asked, she approached me and handed me a folder. I looked at her in surprise but she hasn't spoken since. "Just make sure it's not a problem, Sandra."

“No, in a week you disappeared and everything was fine and by the way Atty. Chu, you have something to talk about. ” I nodded and let her out of the office.

Sandra is my secretary, Atty. took her herself because she can be trusted, I also didn't make a mistake in accepting, I also feel that she can be trusted. I took my cell phone and dialed Atty’s number, and she answered immediately.

“Gosh, thank God you're alive. I thought you were gone again. ” I shook and laughed. I was only gone for a week.

“What is it Atty?” I asked she wouldn't call if there was no problem.

"I saw you." I was stunned by what she said, did she see me? "Let's talk, we also have a lot to talk about." I took a deep breath and dropped the call.

I'm not worried if Atty. Chu saw me and a few people in the company, I knew I could trust her. After all, I paid them enough.

When I got out I went straight to the car, “To Atty. let's go,” I told my driver.

When we arrived at Atty's law firm, I immediately called her that I was outside. Just a few minutes later, she got out and got into the car. When I looked at her for a moment, I remembered the man last night.

"Find me the best investigator." She was surprised by what I said.

"I'll just catch a rat," I replied simply. He just shook her head and nodded.

"Like what I said earlier, I saw you in the resort days ago." I just listened to her, “Lucille, what are you doing with your life? Ever since I introduced myself to you and told you there is a hererity left for you, you have done nothing but leave. Honestly, I've seen you many times since we met, you're pretending. ”

I just kept quiet, it would have been too early to let her know but go ahead. “I'm just weaving rats, Atty. Please, help me with this."

“How can I help you if you don't tell me? And one more thing, just the other day I also found out that Sandra is the one you are confronting other people so that she can introduce herself as the owner of the company that you should be. ”

She just sighed and we talked about what we should talk about, then she left.

"In Laguna, Kuya." The driver immediately started the car, I closed the window behind him because I was going to get dressed.

I wear a simple shirt and pants and comb my hair. When we arrived after a few hours, I told the driver that I would just go back to Manila alone.

When I got off, I was secretly walking in the open and when I arrived at the market, I was immediately greeted by those who knew me.

After much talk, I told them I need to go home first. I'm sure Mom and my brother will be surprised. I rushed closer to the house, I saw my mother sweeping and my brother who looked like he had just arrived from school.

“Mother! Lucky! ” They stopped and turned to me, I happily waved my hand and ran towards them.

“Lucille, daughter? Is that really you? ” I nodded to Mom, she was already crying as she looked at me.

“Sister? You're small. ” I laughed at what Lucky said, I messed up his hair. I have long lost both of them and I am so excited to be with them.

"Are you studying well?"

“Of course, and then thank you for what you gave to us, do you see that? My mother's business was prosperous as well as the market and I was able to buy a new laptop for studying. ” I could feel the joy in the two of them, I couldn’t help but cry while looking at the two of them.

We suffered for a few years because we didn't have enough money. In the few months, I was in Manila, the small salary that I was able to send her was a big help.

"Sister, are we not allowed to come with you to Manila?" Lucky asked me, I took down the juice that my mother gave me.

“Lucky is still forbidden, and then after you graduate here. It's hard to move school because you go back to the beginning, ”I explained to him. They still have many questions for me and I answer them.

My eyes went to a small box, I picked it up and opened it. Old photographs of a happy family flashed through me. I smiled bitterly. I can’t help but feel sad every time I see these photos, every time I feel homesick, anger overwhelms me.

"I missed you, guys." I wiped the tears that had been flowing down my cheeks, hugged the photos. If others only knew what had happened, would anyone be able to help us? I looked back at the photos.
