Jamie agreed.

When Lugh saw her nod, his lips curled into a relieved smile.

"Since you've already invited Jamie, why don't you invite me to your house as well?" Lugh deliberately joked in a soft voice.

Ember's beautiful eyes sparkled in the sunlight as she chuckled. "Of course. You may come over with her tonight."

When Ember returned home in the evening, she brought some ingredients and was prepared to cook for the children.

Seeing his mother carrying bags of ingredients, Avery blinked and asked, "Mommy, are we going to have guests in the house today?"

Ember put down the items in her hands. She then reached out and rubbed his nose as she said pleasantly,

"Yes, Jamie and Lugh are coming over today. Can you entertain her later on my behalf?"

Avery immediately cheered and clapped his hands. "Okay, okay, I'll take care of Jamie on your behalf."

The doorbell rang.

Avery jumped down from the sofa and shouted happily, "Mommy, I'll open the door. It's Uncle Lugh and Jamie!"
