"Apologize? What for?" Caleb refused to give in and stood firmly in front of Ember.

"Mr. Lane, please. Everyone saw it," Hank refuted angrily, his voice a couple of notches louder.

Ember stood silently behind Caleb. She didn't want to leave it to Caleb to resolve the situation, so she was thinking about how to solve it.

Penelope pulled Hank's arm and said softly, "Dad, forget it. It's my fault. I lost balance. She doesn't have to apologize."

When she spoke, her eyes kept fleeting toward Caleb. The deep affection in her eyes could not be concealed.
