Chapter 13: Strange acquaintance

A young man the name Marik who was standing in the front reached out and grabbed hold of Miren's hand. He flashed a cheery smile and enthusiastically introduced himself.

"Hi, my name is Marik Doaeen, nice to meet you."

With a piercingly cold gaze, Miren looked down at the hand that was holding her wrist. With lightning speed, she pushed Marik's hand away and took a few steps backward. She gazed at Marik and his friends for a few moments, as if she wanted to capture the faces of each of them.

She responded: "Thank you for the well-meaning intentions, but I do not have any interest in making new friends. I have to go home, and I hope that you won't bother me."

The young men who were on Marik's team couldn't help but smile because Miren's appearance and personality had captivated their attention. They knew that in Miren's eyes there was no such thing as them; however, because Miren is so lovely herself, she has every reason to be proud of herself.
