Chapter 122: Accepting the request

Dylan had no interest in conversing with Rose, not even for a second. He slowly turned his head to look at the window and watched the reflection of Miren outside on the glass.

Rose heaved a sigh, and then, without further thought, she headed straight inside. Dylan made a motion with his hand as if to push Rose out of the room, but all of a sudden he realized that Drake was standing in his way. He gave Rose an angry look while speaking in a serious tone.

"Get out of here as quickly as you can. I do not wish to communicate with you."

Rose inched closer to Dylan while keeping a distance that was sufficiently secure between them. After that, Rose gave Dylan an explanation as to why she had been behaving in the manner that she had.

"Dylan, I really do have a reason to want the two of us to get married. I hope you don't mind me sharing it with you. In my realm, there is currently a civil war, and I have every intention of taking part in the conflict that will decide who sits on the throne.
