Regrets and lurking danger

Venessa and Rowan are sitting in a coffee shop, crowded with people. Venessa has chosen this place purposely since she knows that they are being followed. Rowan's expression is also declaring the same, "There's an informer around us. I can sense him."

Venessa agrees with Rowan nodding her head. They are trying to play it cool as if they don't know about the informer. But they can't take a lot of their time. Because there are other person's who are keeping their eyes on them for a while. Rowan can guess that some of them are from the vampire clans who are trying to get rid of him.

"What did you want to talk about?"Although they are surrounded, Rowan can't get Venessa out of his head, who is sitting in front of him to tell something from the very beginning. "I want to tell you the secret that I have been keeping from you all these years. "Venessa is hardly trying to maintain the smile on her face. It's vanishing thinking how Rowan will react after hearing the truth.

Rowan can feel the fear of Venessa. He's wondering what is the secret that's making her so scared.  He holds her hands, " You can tell me without worry. I will take it somehow!" He is saying that he will take it, but even Rowan doesn't know what will happen!

Venessa starts crying, hiding her face with her hands and says, " I'm sorry, Rowan! I'm really sorry! I never told you that I was pregnant with your child. I was pregnant when I left you. I'm sorry! Please forgive me!" Venessa keeps asking for forgiveness while crying.

Rowan can't get what he has just heard. He has a child!! He's feeling angry. But he calms down himself and asks Venessa, " You are telling me that I've got a child?! Why didn't you tell me when you were leaving me and why are you telling me now? Is it a boy or a girl? Where is my child now?" Rowan has so many questions that he wants to ask Venessa but he is unable to understand what to ask first. He's shaking in anger.

Venessa is having problems talking, tears are falling from her eyes. Seeing that, Rowan starts shaking Venessa, " I asked you something. Why did you hide it? Tell me!" Rowan's voice is rising and he's creating a scene! People around them are looking suspiciously.

Venessa realizes the situation, though she's still in an unstable position to talk with Rowan. What she did is unforgivable. She understands it. But she had reasons to do so! How can she make Rowan understand that?

" I had my reasons to leave you, Rowan. Your clan people were threatening me and I had this baby inside that time. I had to save her somehow! Anyhow! And leaving you was the best choice. Even if I had told you what could you do? You had to take the count's position for your clan! Would you leave your people just for me and your child?" Venessa is still crying. But there's anger in her voice.

Rowan understands her point of view and calms down a bit. He can't fight with Venessa that he can't leave his people because he made a promise to his mother, Leona!"But you could have told me! There was nothing wrong with that! Then why didn't you?" Rowan keeps pointing to Venessa's fault!

" I was threatened by your clan lord that If I try to approach you further..... " Venessa's voice is shaking while saying it. It's clear that she hates the person who banned her from meeting Rowan.

people around them have taken their eyes since the situation is calming down a bit now. But some are still trying to eavesdrop. But, they are normal people, not vampires.

Rowan looks at Venessa with a sad look, " What's the name of our daughter? Is she...like you or...?" Though the atmosphere is still unstable around Venessa and Rowan, he is eager to know about Erin.

Rowan is angry with Venessa, but he can feel a spark of happiness now that he knows he has a daughter. "How big is she? How does she look? Is she like her mother or like me? When will he get to see her and if he sees her will she come running to me calling out 'Daddy'?" some thoughts are circling around Rowan's head as if he has forgotten that he was angry just a moment ago. He is completely ignoring Venessa now that he's lost in his own thoughts.

Venessa notices Rowan and sighs. It's pointless now to say her reasons why she left him. He isn't paying attention. "She's like you! Workaholic woman! She always runs after work and more work. Sometimes I get tired telling her not to work that much and take some care of her!" Venessa has a sad smile on her face and her eyes are locked with Rowan's who's listening to her eagerly.

His eyes were sparkling hearing about Erin from Venessa. "What...what's her name?" Rowan asks softly!

"Her name is Erin!" Venessa replies. Rowan is surprised to know that their daughter's name is Erin! Just like they planned! Rowan still remembers the night when he embraced Venessa for the first time.

Their hands were locked together and they kissed each other thinking that they had finally become one! They were happily planning for their future when they talked about having children of their own, "I want to have a girl." Rowan demands Venessa who was protesting for a boy for a while. "And what's wrong with a boy? If my first baby is a boy then I'll name him Thomas. I will call him and he will come to me and jump on my lap." Venessa was so happy when she was talking.

"Nope! Not at all! I want a girl who looks like you. Beautiful and cute. I can pull her cheeks whenever I want, I can play with her, share secrets and also when she comes running to me, calling me 'Daddy' and then hugs me, that will be the best moment of my life. Her name will be Erin!" Rowan's voice was filled with love as if he could see her daughter in front of his eyes!

"Erin! Nice name." Rowan's voice is shaking thinking about his daughter whom he hasn't seen for years. His heart's aching! He missed all the things that he wanted to do with her. He wants it back now which is impossible! He's sniffing and then starts crying. Venessa gets up from her chair and sits beside him, hugging him to calm him down.

Rowan hugs her back. People are watching them as if they are watching a drama scene. Rowan asks Venessa, "Where is she now? Erin?" Venessa's face becomes stern, "I called you to talk about her. I think she has been found out."

Suddenly Rowan looks at the back. He's observing something, "The informer has left just now!" He looks at Venessa, "Where's Erin?"

Venessa is scared. "She's at home now, why?" Venessa's voice is shaking while replying to Rowan.

"We have to hurry! Let's go to your house." Rowan gets up from his chair and takes Venessa's hands.

Venessa can't understand why Rowan is restless. "What's going on? Can you tell me?", asks Venessa.

"We don't have time. Erin's life may be in danger. Let's hurry!!" Rowan gives Venessa a pull and then they almost start running. Venessa is praying to God to keep her baby safe!

A man in a black cloak is standing near Erin's house. It's hard to look at his face since it's covered fully. The neighbourhood people are looking at him suspiciously and it seems that he doesn't care about that at all! Though he's observing his surroundings a little bit.

Erin just got home. She was holding some stuff she bought from the market on her way home. So, the man confirms that Erin's home. He's just waiting outside now.  Suddenly someone's phone rings and the man searches his right pocket. He picks up the call and a female voice replies to him, "Finish it!" The man nods his head and answers," It will be done!"

Erin has come out from the bathroom after showering, wearing her pyjamas. Erin plops on her bed and lies down, looking at the ceiling. She is exhausted after fighting with the officer. It was hard to convince him! Who knows if he has found some evidence or not!

Erin still can't believe that Edward tried to suck her blood out last night! What is he? Well...wait. Sucking blood at night! Fangs and sharp claws!! Is it...Is it that he's a vampire???

Suddenly Erin feels something sharp on her neck and instantly the door opens!! BAM!!!!!!!! Edward comes running fast and slashes the man in a black cloak and black mask into two pieces. Blood splashes in the room and some in Erin's face.

Erin's dumbfounded! What in the world just happened???!! Everything happened so fast, she couldn't think straight.

Edward's huffing in front of her, "This isn't the one!" Edward murmurs himself!

Suddenly some people enter the room. They are Kevin and five other people. There's a girl among them. Except for Kevin, They all look pale like Edward!

The girl with short and sharp eyes who is wearing a red top and blue jeans looks at the dead man and then faces Edward, "TCH!! Why did you kill him? I was thinking of dealing with him in my style! You destroyed my whole idea!! Party spoiler!"

Edward gets angry at her, "You can have fun next time with your torture treatment. You were late!! He would've spoiled her! Her blood would've lost its speciality. You should've thought about that first!" The girl doesn't argue with him further.

Edward starts inspecting the man. "This isn't the one! He is another informer!"

Kevin and others look at each other. The one who is confused the most in here is Erin!! What's going on?  Someone, please explain it to her!!
