Maria Esteban Ramos, one word... Latina.

Maria was the woman with a plan, the one that acts all tough while managing to pull her shit together.

Fierce and only defined by her own terms, Maria embraces an attitude that doesn't fail to show who's boss.

And while she's still figuring out her way in the city after all these years, all she ever really wanted was a better life

-for both her abuela and her children.

Given her occupation, she still manages to live her life with respect and an innocent, sometimes obsessive crave for McDonald's.

Endowed with her naturally long hair and a fashion sense to die for, Maria heads the team of the vamps,

-a five Miami-based strip group that hosts most of the wildest parties in an elite bar.

But little did she know that as much as she always saw the bright side of things, her life was to be tested in a darker shade.

And she'll learn that life is never be defined in black and white,

-neither in any shades of her good lipstick.

Wu Chang

Wu is impulsive. Period.

Shortly after arriving from her rehabilitation center, Wu still had no plan to stay clean.

Her whole life has been trying to find that balance between what's right and what's wrong.

And she always found a way to stumble, her life was her excuse for her reckless behaviors.

But as soon as some threatening news comes through, she is forced to see the vanity in the drugs, the pills and the sex.

Her emphatic battle through life's struggles are very easy to relate but Wu always found a way to fall short.

-to relapse.

That is until she meets Diane, and she finds herself tumultuously falling for the mystery woman.

And she is beckoned with her new sexual awakening which ultimately questions her sexuality.

Aaliyah Nadia V.

Aaliyah was the girl with too many secrets that often seemed too much to bear.

She believed she was never really meant to do the things she did and she was still good.

Despite living with Aids , she still strives to make it through med school.

And despite having such Muslim roots, she embraced the culture of the hijab,

and while she stripped, it never came off.

Filled with the courage to manage both her lives outside and within school, outside and within her religion

-what she never really had the courage to do was to stand up to her family.

And somehow amidst the odds, she stuck fearlessly by her religion.

But as soon as her faith is threatened, she will be forced to choose a side even though neither of her options seemed right.

Jacqueline Baie

For the most of her life, Jacqueline Baie was the perfect girl.

As a younger girl, she bounced around the halls with her cute ponytails accompanied with such charisma that could bring the light into any room.

And while her peers often worried about their secret crushes and love letters, all Jacq worried about was getting that scholarship.

Jacqueline was filled with hope and beauty, and a tireless devotion to her studies.

But that was until her life took a darker turn, forcing to turn from all shades of good.

The drastic turn from being free to being incarcerated.

Having held accountable for her parents death, she comes to terms she can never be that Jacqueline anymore.

Not the one with the ponytails, nor the braces nor the books.

She eventually decides to take her own life and that is when she given a second chance that she doesn't believe she deserves.

Ruby Kaleo Smith

Ruby was the girl the dreams, she was filled with so much life and aspirations.

Unlike Maria, Ruby was the youngest, set out for fameux and a desire for happiness.

She somehow manages to embrace her inner splendor despite having a such a not so bright past.

She had so many scars, having an abusive relationship with her father and dropping out of high school.

It was not until she set out for Miami to finally escape her father's wrath that she met Maria.

And she was brought into the pack.

She was the girl who believed in making her happy endings,

-one that she never really got.

WUI had always wanted to bring her flowers, but not like this, not at her grave. It was shimmering with snow that dropped to the ground. And my boots were buried in it whilst i stared at the red flower i had dropped it. I looked to the chair that was beside, snow on the seats before i sat in. My gloved hands wrapped my elbows as i moved my head warmer. Each breath i took gave accompanied with a chill. It was freezing out here. But i didn’t care. I just wanted to see her.“Anyways Fox is going to spend time. Life probably, i just don’t want to know or get myself involved in anything like that” I said, as if we had been talking for a long time. Silence dawned as i looked to the gatekeeper. He was already used to me coming here since the past few months and talking to a corpse. I wasn’t crazy, he knew it.He would often say how i wasn’t the only person that came here to do it. You could hardly believe that i was the same one that broke out in tears a while ago.I cleared my throat, staring Wu in the eyes, who had nodded to give me a sort of encouragement. I then breathed heavily before i carried on."To say Aaliyah was selfless would be an understatement— She was more and to a lot of us, even more. She tried her best to brighten our lives even when she was living in the dark" I paused.I had read all the articles to prevent me from crying when i passed the eulogy.
