We rode in the ambulance all day long. We wanted to stop at the diner to get Gwen food because she was pregnant, but she insisted we keep going. I knew she was hungry, I could feel it, but I also understood why she did not want us to stop. Although we were in our territory, we did not trust anyone. We were being careful. We did not want any surprises. Mason was a tough guy, but the way his pack members kept disrespecting Gwen simply meant he didn't fully have their control, and I intended to talk to him about it. The hostility towards Gwen needed to stop; there is no excuse. Half of the things they did now, they wouldn't dare it when I was in charge of that territory.
