089 The Fight

As angry as I was, my spirit was lifted to see Marcus. I started to fiddle with the chains. Marcus dropped the bastard and rushed to me.

"Gwen," he said with tears in his eyes. He must have been afraid. His eyes were swollen, and he looked like he had gone mad briefly and had just recovered after seeing me. He moved behind me and started working on the chains.

"We need to hurry Marcus, Mason is mad!" I said while Marcus was breaking my chains.

"He is going to the old warehouse where we held Uldrich to kill someone. I don't know who it is, but we need to hurry," I said. Marcus had finished breaking the chains. I stood up, and he kissed me passionately.

"I am sorry it took this long, Gwen. I thought I had lost you," he said and held me to his chest. I could feel his fear and his calm.

"Don't worry, Gwen, I have people there already. Alfred will take you to safety. While I go for him," He said, still holding me to his chest, and I broke away, shaking my head and crying.

I had a feeling it was Sylvia. I didn't think it was Mason after everything was so conveniently pointed to Mason. It was to easy but nice twist
