The next day came quickly, and it was time for me to set off to Gray pack. Scott accompanied me there. I did not want to leave my mates for fear that we do not see each other again. I wish we could be in the same place, but the humans and the treacherous wolves made that impossible. I still did not know whether to tell Mason and Marcus that I might be pregnant. I had spent the whole night contemplating it, but Leah told me to hold back until we were sure. I intended to get tested at the Clement pack to be sure before breaking the news to them.

Ginger made a wonderful breakfast, and I noticed she had been crying. War was hard on us because we all had lost someone dear to us to it at a time in our lives, watching it happen all over again stirred up uncontrollable fear in us.

Ginger hugged me tightly outside by the jeep.

"You, come back to us alive, please," she pleaded in tears, and I nodded, fighting back my tears too. I pulled away, and my father hugged me tightly.
