Chapter 8

As Jewel planned, she woke up early and prepared breakfast for her husband. She sets the table for their breakfast and she also makes coffee knowing her husband will be downstairs soon.

And she's right when she sees her husband is coming. "Good morning, Thunder I prepared breakfast and some coffee," she smiled, greeting him.

Thunder never bothered to pay attention to her and directly sat down and ate. As he ate he noticed that her wife was looking at him, " What are you looking at? Do you have plans to eat? " he said irritably.

Jewel went back to her senses when she heard her husband's words. " Nothing, nothing, don't mind me. Just continue your food, I'm already full," she replied.

Thunder just shook his head and continued to eat. A few minutes later he had already finished his food, he stood up and took the coffee with him to the living room.

A big smile formed on Jewel's lips as soon as Thunder left. She's buoyant about how her day started without arguing with her husband. Right away she washed the dishes.

As soon as she's done with all her work she immediately goes to her room for a bath and prepares herself. They will leave the house at 11:00 am as her husband told her. It takes one hour for her to dress. She couldn't understand why she felt uneasy looking at herself in the mirror when knowing that she had these tight bonds with Thunders family. A few minutes later she heard her husband knocking on the door, "Are you done? We need to go." He asked behind the door.

"Ahm Yes I'm done. I'll be outside just waiting a little while," she replied.

"Hurry up! I don't want to be late." He said before he left.

She quickly took her small sling bag and hurriedly followed her husband.

The definition of silence covered the whole atmosphere of the car as they drove off, no one tried to speak. Thunders focus on driving while Jewel looks outside the car window and let her mind be preoccupied.

"What are you thinking?" Thunder hastily asked making Jewel startle a bit.

"How's Dark?" she asked.

Thunder's forehead furrowed because of her questions. "Why do you ask?" he seriously responded.

"Nothing, It just popped out when I remember Calliyah," she said.

Thunder's expression suddenly went back to normal, "He's in pain Jewel, he's broken inside and outside,"

"I think he deserves it! After what he did to Calliyah? He's an asshole!" She said in displeasure.

Thunder laughed which made me look at him."Is there anything funny about what I said?" I asked myself.

"Silly, stop being judgemental. Dark has a reason why he did that." Thunder defended his friend.

 

She just rolled her eyes.

They arrived at the restaurant where they would have lunch with Thunders' family. They get inside and find their parents with Aunt Celestine and also his son Red. They greeted them all and sat on a vacant chair.

"How are you?" Red suddenly asked and looked at Thunder mockingly.

"We're okay," Thunder said briefly, a teasing smile still plastered on Red's lips.

She looked at her husband to see that his expression darkened and tried calming him because of how Red teased him.

While waiting for their ordered food, Aunt Celestine suddenly talks. "When will you both plan on giving your mommy a grandchild Thunder? I know she's longing for a kid because you are already married and you don't have any siblings,"

"Exactly, Celestine, I already asked them about it. They've been married for a year but still, I haven't heard them talk about my grandchild" her mother indulged.

I noticed a faint laugh of Red lips that made Thunder form a fist while staring at him sharply.

"Aunt, just let them be by now, maybe they are not yet ready for that, or what if they haven't done that thing yet." Red teasingly said.

The woman instantly looked at his son Thunder, " Is Red right son? Why is it? You both married a year ago but still haven't any grandchildren,"

Thunder gazed even sharper at his cousin Red. The teasing action towards Thunder is noticeable.

Red didn't mind the stares he got from Thunder but instead, he smiled even wider.

"Mom, don't be in a hurry! Just wait, I'm sure you'll have your grandchild. isn't it babe?" Thunder looked at her.

He even held her hand and planted a soft kiss on it.

 

Jewel can't hide the happiness she felt about how her husband acted.

Their topic stopped when their order food arrived. While Thunder is eating he can't stop thinking about the conversation he had with Red.

FLASHBACK...

"What now dude? We'll have lunch tomorrow" Red said.

"So what if we have lunch tomorrow?" He replied.

"Nothing, Just asking. You knew that Jewel and you are not a typical normal married couple. You know what I mean. You knew Jewel is beautiful and yet sexy at the same time, If you're not

her husband I probably courted her. "Red responded.

Thunder felt a sudden irritation as he heard what his cousin spelled up. He can't understand why he felt that kind of emotion when he heard a man admiring his wife.

"Damn you Asshole! Stop messing around with my wife." He emphasized every word he said.

Red laughed at his response. " Just kidding. Why are you acting like that? All I know is that you loathed her and now you're acting like that? You don't want her to leave then why did you keep on hurting her? You're blind to see how beautiful, caring, and loving Jewel is cause you choose to hate her and you let your anger take over you. I'm sure you'll regret it when

your woman finds someone that can treasure and she'll choose to leave you. A man that gives everything for her and never hurts her and treats her like a queen and a total opposite of you because all you do for her is hurt her day by day." Red said in a serious voice.

"You knew that I hated her. No, I loathe her! I despise her for taking away my freedom and in exchange, she'll stay with me. If she'll give up then be it. Though it's favorable for me if she

leaves, my life will be peaceful again. But at this moment I'll make her suffer and I will make her fall in love with me, though I know she already loves me I still planned on making her fall for

me even deeper, deeper that she will experience agonizing pain if she leaves me" He said.

Red just shook his head in disbelief at what his cousin told him so. "I don't get you, Jewel is a perfect package that every man wants but you choose not to see. One day you'll be eating those words you spoke and you'll be the one who will suffer from them. It's so rare to find a woman just like your wife and you know Jewel for another man is like a blessing coming from above that they don't want to lose. I know one of these days you'll regret the way you treated her,"

Jewel is mine! Mine alone! I won't let her be happy!
