Alyssa’s place was so small that he… loved it. He found it cozy. Her bathroom was so small and her tub even smaller. He spent a good one-hour smelling all her soaps and perfumes, committing them to his memory, learning her. He came out in Benny’s clothes, and Alyssa stifled a laugh for they were short on his sleeves and ankles. But when she looked at his neatly shaved face and hair combed back to perfection, she noticed his true manly features. That square jaw line was supposed to be… nibbled at.
Since that was the best room the cottage had, Alyssa had to give it to him. “Knock it when you want to come out,” she said before locking it. Though she had locked it from the outside to prevent him from escaping, she knew that the strength, which Lykaes possessed, was beyond comparison. They could lift trains and trucks like toys. They could raze a building down, and they could rip people like they were dolls. Yet she hoped that being a healer, Fenris was a softer Lykae.
She had made Benny guard the door and with a sigh, she had gone to the kitchen to assist Coira. Food was the weakness of Lykaes and she intended to take full advantage of that fact.
An hour later, when he had knocked on the door and Benny opened it cautiously after calling her, she stopped herself from laughing. The healer looked so cute, yet manly, so edible, and yet spicy.
Alyssa, along with Benny, whose spear was pointing at him, had escorted him to the dining room for lunch.
Trays of cheese, yam and oat bread, fruits, lamb chops, hash brown potatoes and what appeared to be ginger ale sat on the table in a room he thought was their dining place. Yummy smell wafted through the air, making his stomach grumble loud enough for Coira to giggle.
Hungry as a bull, Tova devoured the food, groaning in admiration as the three watched him with wonder. When he was halfway through his delectable cuisine, he wiped his mouth with a napkin and asked, “So what is the proposition you are suggesting and why should I help you? You have to give me a solid reason to stay back. Else my men are going to come here, ransack this place and might just kill…” he pointed at Benny, “him. And then they will take you two as slaves.” Tova took another bite of the lamp chop and groaned tasting the succulent meat. The girl was a great cook. He wanted to lick her finger. And the thought made his shaft go north. He shifted in his place imagining what he could do with her fingers, his fingers…
“Kill me?” Benny’s face blanched and he winced.
Alyssa felt dizzy. She shouldn’t have kidnapped him. Now, even if she tried to kill him, he would resist and it might cost Benny’s life. As she looked at his broad chest and those muscular biceps that moved beneath the fabric of the white shirt he was wearing, she swallowed saliva down her dry throat. Her initial plan to coerce him physically to tell his secrets about his occupation was thrown out of the window. New plan: Coerce him with seduction… mental seduction. She wouldn’t allow him to touch her. And yes, she needed to tell him the truth. She licked her dry lips.
Tova’s breath hitched and he stopped eating when his gaze was caught by her action of licking her lips. His fantasies plunged to the gutters once again. But he couldn’t allow them to see his vulnerable side.
“Fenris,” she said softly.
Her voice was like warm chocolate dipped with honey. And Tova was dazed. A moment later when he came out of the daze, he put his hand up. “Wait!” He took a deep breath and gulped his food down. “Let me finish eating. I would like to walk the talk!” He looked down at his plate and resumed eating hoping he hadn’t let out any visible emotion. Why were the tips of his ears so hot? He was sure he sounded high and mighty through that hoarse voice he managed to crack.
‘What an arse!’ thought Alyssa, gritting her teeth. He was acting so high and mighty and hot and arrogant that she felt like flicking his forehead with her fingers. But a brown curl loosed from his head and fell on his forehead, distracting her thoughts thoroughly. A sudden desire to play with that curl rose. Suppressing it she replied “Sure. We can talk later.” Since her small cottage was on the verge of Vonhurst forest, she could take him on a walking trail that led to a small creek, which was fed by a waterfall from the hills beyond.
Coira smiled and served him with more chops. “This is for ye, healer! You would need it!”
Rest of the lunch was eaten in a perfect quiet. Only sounds of munching and gnashing and slurping and belching were heard.
Before leaving for the small walk, Benny pulled Alyssa close to him. “I am going to stay behind you with my spear. I am also going to carry my quiver and bow. Don’t worry, I have dipped the tips of the arrows in the concoction made from Wolfsbane and Psylocibe. If he attempts to run, an arrow like that would knock him off for a few hours.”
Tova gnashed his teeth every time Benny went to her or touched her. New plan: Benny’s hands would decorate his mantle… soon.
Alyssa nodded and then walked to Tova. She waved a hand in front of him. Tova started walking in the direction she pointed. As he walked away from her cottage, he realized that she was staying away from the humdrum of the towns, which made him wonder what she actually was? She definitely wasn’t a Lykae. She was so… human. Her little was located atop a grassy knoll and nestled amongst lush greenery. It reminded him of… home, his home…
The path they took was like a rust colored scarf draped over the green hills that were a part of the Vonhurst forests. It undulated over the earth all the way up to the top until it met the horizon. Nestled in a chorus of trees, the trail was pebbled with gray and red stones and rust colored sand. They walked in silence for some time, each within their own thoughts.
So close to her...

Benny was extra cautious. He was keeping a keen eye on him. What if the Lykae decided to run? This was their last chance to have a better life. Alyssa was planning on leaving Wizard Kingdom, Yezia forever after this, and he was going to be with her, and so would his mother, Coira. So close to her and not touching was like a torture. Her body’s heat seemed to touch him, burning his skin, searing it. Her wild blossomy scent maddened him and his wolf clamored him again. His claws increased in length and he concealed them behind his back. The girl had changed into a blue drape skirt and a white cotton shirt with strings tied over her breasts… loosely. Her huge breasts were bouncing with step and he feared, no, hoped that they spilled out of the dress. He bit a groan in his throat. Never had a woman ever affected him to this level. In order to distract himself he said, “Tell me about yo
“Perfect in the art of seduction?” For the past one year, he was least interested in seducing women. He just wasn’t interested in showing his affection to any woman. In fact he never needed to seduce a woman. They were available at the drop of a hat. Some of them had tried to cling to him to the extent that he could nauseate. He kissed her on an impulse.“Yes, you seem so good with it!”Tova’s face lit up with a half smile, not because she praised him, but because she liked it, and he smelled a hint of jealousy.“But Fenris, you should know that this is a simple trade, okay? I am invulnerable.” She would never let this go out of control.“I accept your terms, Alyssa,” he said as if he acc
Tova left to take a bath. He went to her room and was surrounded by her smell. While taking a bath, he was just three strokes away from ejaculating.Alyssa was arranging the plates on the table for dinner after taking a bath. Fenris’s kiss lingered over her lips and her lips would break into a smile every now and then.Benny walked over to her and in a low voice said, “It is getting dangerous as hell. We need to move out as soon as possible. Maybe in two days give or take.”She tensed. She wondered if she had to move fast.Over the dinner, things cozied up and while she remained quiet, Tova came to know that Coira was a human and Benny was her son. His father abandoned them soon after he was born. Coira was taking care of A
She didn’t take her nightdress out and ran cold water in the shower. When she stepped in it, she felt… comforted. As water sluiced over her, she thought how much her life planned out. Fenris was part of her plan—to learn and then disappear in the Lore. She cringed at the thought that Izhal and Auria were after her. She didn’t know where her mother was, because if she were there, then Izhal wouldn’t have dared to come after her. Her situation was grim and she didn’t want Fenris to be a part of it. The man was teaching her a lot of valuable stuff and she couldn’t be more thankful to him.“Let me get a towel for you,” his voice interrupted her thoughts. “Just don’t trip inside when I am gone.”She chuckled. When he came back two
Next day when Alyssa woke up, she found that the sun was up, but the house was pretty quiet. Fenris’s kiss lingered on her lips and she touched them gently. Last night, for at least an hour she had tossed and turned in her bed while dreaming of him. A slow smile built on her face. She was his mate. The day had suddenly looked brighter. She removed her blanket and walked to the bathroom. When she came out all dressed in a white shorts and a green blouse, she found that both Fenris and Benny were not there. Coira was making fried eggs.“Where are the men?” she asked Coira.“Benny has gone to the town and I saw Fenris walking up the trail.”“Ah!” She had a sudden urge to join him. She had a thousand questions
After hugging her tightly and scolding her again Coira mounted the horse. She was crying when she left her and so was Alyssa.Alyssa told them for the hundredth time, “When you reach there, don’t come out. Stay put!”“We will!” Benny nodded and nudged his horse to move. She saw them going down the dirt road till they disappeared. A lump formed in her throat. She took in a deep breath and turned to go back to the cottage. She had to undo her deeds. As soon as she opened the door of her workshop she found him grinning.“Do you know I have made a new medicine?”She gave him a nervous smile.Tova watched her
Overwhelmed with heartache on seeing his mate unconscious Tova howled once more. “Come back Alyssa. I will take care of you,” he murmured. As he galloped his horse, he tucked her close to his body. Her head rolled to his right shoulder and he tried his best that it stayed there. Was she breathing? He would check upon her from time to time. He checked if she had any injury or a swollen lump on the head, but there was none. There was a terrible bruise on her back, which was showing from inside and he knew that her ankle was also badly twisted. Blood had made her shirt wet. Even her hands were bruised. Tova shuddered. “Alyssa, baby… stay there.”His thoughts ran to the man who had attacked him. How the hell did the man conjure magic? And why was he after her? He rode as fast as possible to gain as much distance from her home from her cottage. The skies had turned dark and
When Alyssa woke up, she saw that it had become very dark. She adjusted her eyes to the light coming from brazier in the corner of a tent in which charcoals were burning slowly. The flame was a gentle blue. A man seated on the ground with his hands below his head was sleeping.Fenris.She was so happy to see his face but where were they? She turned her face to scan the room. It was a tent. How did she reach there? She lifted her body on her elbows and immediately excruciating pain cruised in her lower back. “Ah!” she groaned in pain.Tova got up and his eyes flew wide open. He stared at her. “Alyssa!” He got up and bent over to check her forehead and neck and wrist for the pulse. “Are you okay?” he made her lie on the pillow again. “Gods, you are awake afte
