173. Meetings and Disrespect

By the time Alice got to the office through the all the hectic traffic, it was almost midday and she was panting so hard by the time she got to her office. She gave a sigh of relief when she got to the company at a reasonable time because of the heavy traffic on the way.

She walked confidently towards the meeting room ignoring all the scrutinizing eyes on her throughout her walk to the conference room. Even when she was late and shaking within her for fear of being judged unfairly she still forced herself to hold her head high and not let other people emotions or opinions affect her in any negative way. She was feeling quite guilty for how long it took her to make an appearance to the meeting that needed her presence. She didn’t fault herself that much either because she was informed about the emergency meeting when she was driving the kids to school because she didn’t check her mail on time the previous day.
